Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Indeed... the times are changing, and these old bones will unfortunately, not live to see a new age," the old minotaur said with a sigh. "I won't lie, that I've done some distasteful things throughout my time, young one. I've raided, and taken women. But that was many years ago. I've not left this village here in close to twenty years now," he said after a few moments.

"Elder, don't speak like that. If you would do what you've been told, then you will live for many years to come, I'm sure," the young woman that had helped him out, said, looking like she'd only just come of age herself, but had very large breasts, despite her young age. ( )

"Oh fiddle sticks, Lana. I wager once you're gone, I won't live out a month. Your freedom means more than my life now though, little one. And besides, I've seen many many years, and you deserve to get to live your life now," the elder told the girl, patting her head gently, before shooing her on over to the others as they began filing out towards where the camp with the rest were at.

Once that was done, and Kylie checked the houses, she did find a couple trying to hide a slave or two, but they offered no more resistance when Kylie broke them free. Before Kylie left the village herself, the elder motioned her back over to him for a moment, and handed her something. It was a small pendant, she saw. "Give this to Lana for me, please. It was her mother's. And please, take good care of her for me. She's a good girl, and this village and its way of life, is all she's ever known. Because she was born here. I... didn't have the heart, to tell her that her mother died a little over ten years ago. I told her, that her mother had just gone to one of the other villages where she was more needed. I think she's probably figured it out by now, but... perhaps not. I ask that you take good care of her though, mostly because, she's my daughter. Now that, I know she doesn't know, herself, because I forbade her from ever being told. She doesn't deserve that curse, upon her, especially now," the elder told Kylie after a few moments. "Please, give her a better life, than she could ever have had here, becoming the village chief's wife, or some other brute. A gentle girl like her deserves better," he added after a moment.

After that, Kylie could make her way to the camp, and give out her hugs, and kisses, with many thanks coming from the girls she'd just rescued, though in Lana's case, she looked a little troubled, and if asked, she would say she was worried about the old elder, and his well being.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Keeping Lana close to her, Kylie pocketed the pendant from the elder for now and waited until they were outside the village before handing it over to her. He'll be fine until the end I'm certain Lana. Truth is he's lived long and happily from the sounds of things and he wants you to do the same away from this place. I think he doesn't want you to see him at the end... Leave an old warrior his pride she said, steering the girl away from the village itself and down towards the other. You can come to Feynrial with me for now though and then decide. For now... we need to get all the other slaves freed, and all these girls back home. It's staggering when you see them all together... This many. Kylie said, shaking her head and letting everyone continue resting for the night.

That didn't mean however that she didn't appreciate Lana's skimpy outfit. Quite the opposite. A Tree became her energy drink for the night and outside that she stayed with Lana around a campfire, looking close to see if the old Father Mino had left a collar on the girl.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"I... I suppose so. But... what if his next caretaker doesn't do things right with his food? He likes his food prepared a specific way, and gets grumpy when it's not done right," Lana replied softly, fretting a little bit, but when she saw the pendant, she seemed to forget all about the elder for a moment as she beheld the thing.

It wasn't an overly valuable looking trinket, but it was obviously very sentimental to Lana, and she put the thing around her neck after a few moments of looking it over, with tears in her eyes. "I... guess this means she's really gone, after all then. Doesn't it," Lana muttered softly, before sniffling a bit.

It didn't look like she had a collar, per se, on, but she had a choker necklace of sorts on though. It didn't look like it was meant for showing she was a slave, but it wasn't made from any beautiful metal though either, only being bronze. Unless Kylie really wanted to take the thing off, Lana seemed content on leaving it on for the time being, it seemed.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Yes, your mother is gone. And there's nothing I can say that will make that any easier to stomach. I can only offer you a home Kylie said sadly, reaching out to yank Lana into a one armed hug next to the fire, letting the girl lean on her. She was warm, and smelled of orange peels and leather, oil and smoke and ozone. But she was warm and alive, not a monster.

She knew Lana wouldn't be alone in her pain either upon returning home, or even now, that others here had lost people, that the jungle around them was probably a mix of terrifying, and exhilarating, freedom. For some the first breath of it in a long time.

She'd sit there next to the fire with Lana though until the girl fell asleep, and then through the night, only moving to defend the large camp from any wandering problems.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Thank you, I... I don't really have anywhere else to go. I've never left the village, o-or the elder, really," Lana replied, sitting there mostly in silence after that, unless Kylie spoke to her really.

It wouldn't take too long for the poor girl to fall asleep, and though Kylie was there with her, it was a bit of a fitful sleep, unfortunately. Through the night, Kylie wouldn't have too much trouble in the way of wild animals stalking the camp, what with so many people there and all. The next morning, when everyone started waking up, Kylie saw the everyone seemed to be alright, and getting some breakfast ready for the morning.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Lana would wake up with her head in Kylie's lap, the assassin stroking her hair as she did. Helping her up, Kylie would stand and yawn, before flailing around in the camp for anyone who had coffee, and get some of that, before finding Nog. 2 left Nog, and then you can get to the business of ruling. she'd say, brushing her hair out with her fingers before pinning it back.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie found that Freya had left her some coffee beans ground up to use for some coffee, and that a couple of the girls had gotten it out and were making some fresh coffee in some pots that Nog had scrounged up from somewhere. Many of the girls around were sipping on some coffee that had already been brewed up, and she saw that most looked a bit less ragged and exhausted, having gotten some proper rest through the night and whatnot.

Lana, when she woke up, yawned mightily and stretched out, before wiping her bleary eyes. It wasn't long before Kylie saw and smelled some breakfast being cooked, something that Nog had apparently hunted up through the early morning.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie hoorah'd when Coffee was found, getting herself a cup and glad to see the girls were doing better after a good night of sleep and not waking up in chains. Sipping on her Coffee, she took her time walking around, getting people up and moving, and christ there was a good number of them now. And many of them were armed... She had a ragtag army.

SHE WAS SPARTICUS!

That thought aside, she sat with Lana and Nog for breakfast, getting something decent in to eat in case Giselle was watching her, she probably was, and skirted the outside of the camp to make sure no one had left them any surprises and that no one was missing before continuing on.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie found that she had nearly a hundred or more people here in her camp, and found after she ate some breakfast that nobody had left any traps around. What Kylie did find after a few minutes, was that Sheena and Freya had both managed to find their way back to her, and were helping to keep an eye out on some of the girls. "Oh hey Kylie... we got the other girls to the goliaths late last night and rushed back to find you, and followed your tracks back this way. We got here maybe... what Freya, an hour ago?" Sheena said to Kylie when she found the two, while Freya nodded her head in response to Sheena's question.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Hugging Sheena and Freya tight when she found them, she squeeeezed until everyone was happy with their affection and then brought them up to the front. I found some more. was all she said, gesturing around at all the girls gathered before thumping Nog on the shoulder because it was time to move on. 2 more villages girls and then we're headed home and I can get a real night's sleep. she said, And a good dicking. she added as an afterthought.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"We can tell," Sheena replied with a smirk.

Nog jerked and glanced over at her when she thumped his shoulder, having been dozing off from the looks of it, it seemed. "Y-Yeah, two more villages that I know of. Altogether, there shouldn't be more than fifty more women," Nog replied, yawning before dozing back off.

"Oh Giselle will punish you for sure, don't you worry about that. I'll make sure she does," Freya whispered to Kylie, winking naughtily.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Giggling as Freya whispered to her, she pinched her ass before looking around the jungle. We should find the sluttiest of them and see who'd like to work in the garden as seed bearers just for funsies. she said, laughing at the idea of just.. a collection of women who tended to plants in between constantly being seeded. Granted... less for me in the short run, but THINK OF THE SIZE OF THE GARDEN! we could grow our own jungle inside the jungle made of NOTHING but rapeplants. It would be amazing. she said, starting to break into a fit of giggles.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Are you sure we should do that, Kylie?" Sheena asked curiously, looking a bit worriedly around at some of the girls.

"What about that girl there, Kylie? The one you were with," Freya asked softly, glancing over at Lana, who was still dressed in her rather skimpy bikini like outfit. "Do you want her too, like you wanted me, hmm?" she then asked with a smirk.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Christ I said Ask, not force... You eat funny mushrooms on the way here? You realize I'm rich right? Gardening would be well paid for. she said, before shrugging at Freya. She's cute and all, but she has nowhere else to go. Kylie said, really unsure what to do with her. Probably just get her set up, she had shit hard enough.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Freya stuck her tongue out at Kylie before Sheena rolled her eyes and chuckled a bit. "Well, she's apparently been here her whole life, born and raised. So she's never known of any other way of life. I'd wager though that she has a helluva lot of physical strength though. Maybe we could show her the ropes, and see how good a fighter or brawler she is, and bring her into the rangers. If she's as strong, physically, as I think she might be, then she'd be a great addition to us. Plus, it would give her something to do and stuff, and give us a chance to teach her everything she likely missed out on here with the minotaurs," Sheena suggested after a few moments of contemplation on the matter.

"That's... actually not a half bad idea. I'd wager there's a few of these girls who wouldn't mind joining up with us, though we'll have to weed out those who only seek vengeance, and those who genuinely want to help. It would take a load of work off our shoulders, and keep us from having to go so far abroad too, and away from home," Freya added afterwards, nodding in agreement with Sheena's suggestion.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Yeah, it's certainly true, as we expand our patrols and my influence on the island, since... I plan on ruling it, we'll need people everywhere, not just in Feynrial. As for vengeance.... That's a hard thing to do, a lot of it is how their recovery is handled. We can't nurture that anger, we need to help them let it go. You did it Freya, I think all of you girls did, because we never focused on it when you came to stay with me, me and Giselle only wanted you to be happy. We didn't treat you like you were broken, we just gave you a little time to heal, and gave you a home. Kylie said, thinking as she regarded the army of slaves.

Thankfully because it is an island, and it's mostly jungle, we'll need a more basic fighter oriented guard as well, not just rangers and skirmishers. But honestly... Hiro and his guys would be the place to start for that. I'll bring him with me to the summit along with all you 2, Hazel, the sirens and kaal. she continued, scratching her head.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Well, I did it less out of the kindness of my heart, and more because I knew that it would just be too difficult for me to ever overpower a minotaur to get revenge really. And besides that, you killed the ones that hurt me, really, so there wasn't anyone left to get vengeance on, unless I wanted to get it on the race, as a whole," Freya replied with a shrug.

"I'd say Hiro and his people could help us train a few of them, that either don't have a home to go back to, or simply don't wish to go back to that specific home," Sheena said after Freya was done, glancing around at some of the women about, and noting that a few, despite their obvious mistreatment, had some good muscles on them, likely from having to do more than their fair share around the minotaur villages in terms of heavy lifting.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

For now lets just focus on getting everyone home, then you can try and wrestle them Freya, Sheena. Winner gets to wrestle Asha and Annie together. Kylie said, chuckling. Besides, you could both beat a Minotaur in a fight, just don't fight like a minotaur and you wont have to match muscles. That IS why humans bang steel into shapes of sharp pointy steel you know. So we don't have to try and brain things to death with just a rock... she continued, starting to laugh bright and cheerful.

Nog had been silent through this time and Kylie hopped up onto his shoulders and rode there, rubbing his head like a crystal ball. Tell me Nog, my chosen representative of the clan and steward of rule in my stead. HOW.... is the best way to help your people get over this transition. Outside of my Friend Kaal. Who is an ACTUAL Dragon.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Heh, alright. We got two more villages, you said? Best get to them sooner rather than later. Do you want us to take these ones on back to the goliaths to get enough provisions and such to get them all to their respective homes and stuff?" Sheena replied, looking to Kylie curiously.

After Kylie gave her answer, and asked Nog what she did, he woke back up and stretched, yawning in the meantime. "I... don't really know. These are the ways we've known for years. It will be very hard to do things differently, for a generation, I'd wager. Or at least for those in their teenage years anyway. Those that are younger will grow and learn things differently than they would otherwise have learned. Our way of life has literally been turned upside down on its head. It'll be difficult to fill the roles that the slave girls will leave behind. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, that they're getting their freedom. Merely that we've never thought of contingencies," Nog replied with a troubled look on his face.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Something tells me nog, that your people are physically strong enough to handle the menial labor of everyday tasks, and to find some pride in them. Kylie said, chuckling before thinking on it. Freya, you go on back alone and tell the Goliaths to send a couple squads of their own people with provisions, and we'll make an island circuit on the way back rather then scattering the group. With the goliath's help this many people will be much safer as well. Kylie said. Sheena you're with me, I need the help on watch tonight, I've been days without proper sleep. Kylie said, yawning tiredly.
