Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Aya managed to heal Kylie up for the most part, thankfully, and had stopped all of her bleeding. "He had some sort of magic dampening field, so that only the most powerful magics can work within it, ones that can overpower his own. I know not how he's done this, but I'd wager that there is something greater possibly helping him. Be careful trying to drain a demon like that though. If you don't vent that energy quickly, it can, and will corrupt you," Zin said, sighing softly as he sat down, wincing a bit as he did. "I've heard about your powers from Amara here, a couple of times, when we've met, in the past couple of years," he added, before Kylie left.

Once she got to Serena's, Kylie saw Serena and Merrick were both in there, working frantically over Serena's desk. "Kylie, thank gods you're okay. When Giselle told me that you'd gone tracking the trail, I got worried," Serena said, pulling Kylie into a hug, as Merrick sat there, rubbing his temples, looking both worried, and angry, as well as a little surprised.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie hugged Serena back and sighed. I'm fine. Got the Green, Vith. Is. Dead. But the other one is the problem. Merrick! Know anything about TreeRazer? Apart from he's an enormous Cocknozzle? Kylie said, flopping onto a chair and looking at the wizard.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Treerazer... gods dammit. It had to be a demon lord like him. Goddamned impossible to get right up in his face to really fight him, else you risk being destroyed, or worse, corrupted," Merrick said, sighing at Kylie's words.

Merrick pulled an old dusty looking tome out of his pack, and set it on the desk. "Treerazer, is not from our world, nor our abyss. He's from a neighboring world, and to put it short, he's mean mother fucker," Merrick said after a moment, looking over at Kylie.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

I'm Still alive. So. How is Kill? I really don't need his life story, but an anti Treerazer dagger on a long stick would be nice. Kylie said looking tired. But yeah, killed his wannabe groupie bitch. And got his name. So. Home. Kylie said, flopping her way back to her house.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Well, unlike most demons, if you get a deathblow on him, he dies... like... truly dies. Most demons go back to their respective realms, until you can either destroy said realm, or banish their magical hold on said realm, and then slay them. So that's a plus for us, assuming we can actually kill him, that is," Merrick began saying before Kylie got up to leave, where he followed her out to continue giving her information. "As for how to kill him. Well, he's immune to electricity, and poison, and fairly resistant to fire and ice, as well as acid. Your gun there, assuming you can get a good shot lined up on him, would deal some significant damage, but I don't think it would be enough to kill him outright. You'll need a few good shots, I think. Lucky for you, I've been talking to your alchemist friend, Alan, and I think I might be able to make you some more bullets for it. But I can't do it here, I have none of my equipment, nor alchemical reagents. Plus, I can't make them like the shaman's do it, I have to use magic, whereas they don't, and use straight spiritual energies, or something, I'm not entirely sure. But aside from all that, he can be killed like any other demon, just... try and do so from a distance, else he can, and will try and kill you," Merrick said after they headed for Kylie's house.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

And I can't drain him either. It's a nightmare. But if you can make some more bullets that's great. The Shaman who used this thing nearly took me out from several miles away. So! We can keep distance if we know where he's going to be or is. He said something about being powerful in his own realm so I imagine he wont be in a hurry to leave his shitty little area. Kylie said, walking with Merrick.

Did Hazel get here? Kaal's a fucking Hero by the way, he's at the temple. And I have no idea how the other areas and villages fared but we need to get a line out to the minotaurs and goliaths. I'm the clan leader for the north tribes so I can MAKE them help deal with this shit situation. Kylie continued, trying to get her ducks in a row while her brain was still working. She was tired.

And before I forget, can you and Serena and Giselle and Tidecaller seal off the Island and trap him Here. I don't want him squirming away and fucking up some other area of the planet. I want him dead once and for all so I can eat his heart and mount his head on a Spike in the middle of Tear Cove. she said bitterly, still a bit blown away that Treerazer was almost literally more then she could chew. She was already prodding at Hecate inside her to say WHAT THE FUCK!? YOU CAN EAT ANYTHING!

Inside it was anarchy and sulking as Kina and Kuna were scratching their heads and Hecate was moping around and flailing at everyone looking like she had a tummy ache. Kalt was... Being Kalt, but Idris was with her on the Rage Train and Ichor was running through everything she'd learned in her battle with Treerazer so far. He was Necrotic, his Aura was Decay, not outright Death and while she could weather it, she couldn't absorb it. As far as she could tell the most she'd managed to do was keep it from killing her outright.

But we need to get the barrier up, just like Garellia. I know you're not Terra but the currents here are strong enough I promise to get one set up. And once it is we can safely confine him here until we kill him. she said as they neared the house, Kylie opening the door for him. Also...... Thank you, for coming. Who else is here? she asked him as she stepped inside, looking around for the Runt she'd sent running here.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Hmm... it might not be that you can't drain him, but that he's draining you back, faster than you can drain him. Demons have been known to drain not just life, but also magic, from things. And she's on her way, with some help," Merrick replied, sighing a bit. "And you're probably right about that, he won't be leaving his bit of land yet. And yes, I can lock him in Melora's Tear, but it'll take me a few hours to get things set up for that. He won't get out of here, I'll make sure of it. As for draining him... I'll need to think up a way to prevent him from draining you, or the land, back, faster than you can drain him. If he's trying to drain you back, then it'll take a mere magical barrier charm of sorts, or dampening field, but if he's drawing on the lands themselves, then... we've got bigger problems. Not many things can do that though, thankfully, without it being too much for them to handle. You're one of the few beings I know of that can actually do it without killing yourself. If it does turn out that's what he's doing though, I might be able to stop him, but... it'll stop you from being able to do the same thing for a while," he went on to say, tapping his chin, as if thinking how to go about doing all he needed to do.

"And don't worry, where Terra had overpowering spiritual strength, I have overpowering arcane strength. I can do it. it'll just take me a bit longer than it would ever have taken Terra. And Hazel's on her way, with a couple of people that might be able to help you take him on from a range, or can at least give you some equipment so that you and the others can manage against him. I won't leave this island though, until he's gone, and I doubt Hazel will either," Merrick said to Kylie, winking and smiling over at her.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Considering how he snatched up an arrow out of the air... I think it's gonna wind up being the rifle. For now Merrick, I need to hug my wife, and then think of a way to stop him from spreading too far right now. Kylie said, sighing and letting her shoulders sink as she ushered Merrick inside, setting her gear by the door, she fished out a robe and a towel from upstairs.

What else has been going on? Kylie asked him, toweling off before putting the robe on, glad the children were all away right now.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"If you took Vith down, then he's going to have a hard time spreading his influence too far. For now, I'm going to work on sealing him here on the island. If nothing else, I will have Giselle, Hazel, and some of the others help me seal him in stasis, though I hope it won't come to that, and that we can take him down completely. Don't worry though Kylie, we can, and we will, win," Merrick told Kylie, moving inside with her. "And from what I've gathered from the few sending spells I sent out to people around the island, some Tear Cove's outer villages got attacked. Myria in the west got attacked, but not too badly. Pearl Bay in the east was unscathed though, probably because it was the furthest from where his influence is. The minotaur and goliath tribes both got hit though, but with Zin being on the mountain at the time, their villages are all okay. The lamia village that's nearer to Treerazer's area though got decimated. Myria's taking in the survivors right now. Zin rallied the goliath and southern minotaur tribes too, before he left to Treerazer's domain here on the island, to prepare to march when the time comes. Luckily, Treerazer's attack on the great northern alraune village was an utter failure, because one of the alraune had a vision an hour before his forces got there, and they were able to prepare a trap for them, and laid waste to them, so his attacks, while coordinated pretty well, weren't able to do nearly as much damage as he'd wanted, which gives us the chance for a counter attack, once I seal the island off with the others help. I'm gonna see if Delilah is capable of helping us out with the spell too, when Hazel gets here, because we'll need as much as help as we can get," he went on to say, before heading to Delilah's room to talk with her.

Giselle came out of the bathroom after a minute, looked relieved to see Kylie there now. "Oh thank heavens you're alright. I felt that pain, from earlier, and it terrified me. We got all the alraune brought to town, and the bee queen's helping coordinating a makeshift garden near the hive, until they can head back to their village. And the angels were able to bring back all of the little ones, thankfully, and several of the older ones, but not all of the reds, unfortunately, as some got pretty badly cut up when they fell," Giselle said softly, as she hugged Kylie.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Stupid dragons. Could have introduced themselves ANY FUCKING TIME when I was freeing slaves. Assholes. Kylie said, shaking her head as Merrick went off to see Delilah.

Hugging Giselle tightly as she came out, Kylie nodded. I'm fine, really. And I'm glad we saved who we could. How is Ayane? Kylie asked, remembering her terrible burns.

And she hasn't arrived yet it seems, but we'll be getting a guest. One of Vith's daughters. Kylie said, simply telling her so it wasn't a surprise. Moving into the kitchen, Kylie started making coffee, wanting a warm cup as she stayed with Giselle. Any word on where Tina is? They attacked Delilah, I'm worried about her. Kylie said, seeming worried about the powerful siren.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Well, they're dragons, they do shit in their own time, in their own way, because woo they can live for literal ages. Lucky fucks," Merrick said, shaking his head as he went off.

...

"She's really hurt, and resting right now in Reina's infirmary. After Amara got healed up enough, her and Aya came back out to help heal as many as they could, once Amara had sent word to Merrick. He literally came through about five minutes after she contacted him. Hazel said she'd be here as soon as possible, that she had to stop and get her things ready to come herself, because she'd been on vacation," Giselle said, before Kylie told her about Vith's daughter that was coming along soon. "And oh? Huh, well I guess we'll have to keep a close eye on her, since you killed her mom and all. And no, I don't know where the hell she is. Nobody in town seems to know, and haven't really seen her in days. Gods I hope she's okay. She was talking about going to Selara's home town a couple of weeks ago, but never really made any indication that they'd be leaving soon," Giselle went on to say, looking worried about Tina, now that Kylie had asked about her.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Never Thought I'd be worrying about Tina of all people. No rest for the wicked. Kylie said softly, making her coffee and going to the basement and into her training room to come out with a map. Rangers. They made them.

They Ranged. That's how they got the fucking name.

Sighing she unrolled it on the kitchen table with Giselle. Alright... Where is Selara's village. I'll go find her before she gets into trouble. Nothing to be done about it either, we need her and she can't be on her own like this. It's too dangerous even for her. Kylie said, sipping her coffee as she looked over the map, wondering where Tina may have gone. Selara's Village wasn't far. Kylie had first met her near the Mines.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Selara's village was to the northwest of here, near Myria. The main lamia village here in the southern half of the island, as far as I know," Giselle replied, helping Kylie get the coffee made real quick, while Kylie set the map down, where she pointed it out on the map, as the same village that Kaal had been worried about earlier.

"You don't think they got attacked too, do you? I mean, this demon, he seems to have attacked multiple places at once, so I'd guess that the lamia village got hit too," Giselle asked after a few moments, sipping a cup of coffee herself, and obviously not knowing what Merrick had said about the places that had been hit yet.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

The Lamia Village was Decimated. And there wasn't a lot we could do about it, me and Kaal, if we broke off to check on them, we would not have made it in time to help the other dragons, or strike down Vith. There was also the risk that we wouldn't have learned the name of the demon. It was the dragons that drew him out in the first place. He didn't respect me enough to show himself I gather. Kylie said, putting a mark on the map, as well as the other places that had been hit, looking for a pattern, including the hive, the alraune village, and the other dragon lairs. She didn't know their exact location but Merrick had all but told her. They lived on the peak itself.

Tina isn't the type to fight a losing fight either I'll wager.... She would have taken who she could somewhere safe she knew of, but where.... Kylie muttered, running her hands over the lands surrounding the village, looking for good hiding spots and other easily defendable spots. Or even just hard to reach ones. Lamia got places others couldn't easily. There was also the Arachne to consider, but their villages were small and up in the trees... Where would you have gone Tina.... Kylie muttered, eyes rolling over the map.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Well, I'm sure she's alright. Because there's not much that can match her in strength. If she was helping the lamia escape, then they would have gone to Myria most likely, as it's the closest town to their village, and probably the only one capable of taking them in," Giselle replied, looking over the map with Kylie, as she pointed Myria, which was the larger western town of the island.

"That's the only place I can think of, unless she took them deeper into the jungles to keep them hidden. Knowing her, she might have, if she thought it was safer for them, than Myria," Giselle said, looking over the map closely.

"Kylie! Hazel's arrived, she's at the temple with Amara, getting filled in on everything," Merrick called from the living room, preparing to head out with Delilah and Mara, the latter of whom was insisting on going with them as an escort, despite Merrick's insistence that he was more than capable of protecting both himself and Delilah.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

She could do either depending. I wont know unless I go look. Cmon, let's go save your sister. Kylie said, cuffing Giselle's shoulder. Like when we all saved you, but with less succubi. Speaking of... Kylie said, suddenly worried.

Hearing Merrick, Kylie turned and saw Mara and their argument. Mara, whatever he says, keep an escort with him at all times. I thought I would be fine until I was shot in the chest. He might be strong but he still bleeds. Kylie said, just to annoy Merrick really before turning to Mara. Tell Hazel as well that we should Mayyybe Probbbbably Definitely get her to get on the other Devils on the island. Me and Giselle are going to go find Tina, and then Drag Ashera out into this, And then anyone else in Amara's prison who wants to be useful. Kylie said, stretching and finishing her coffee.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Giselle nodded and hugged Kylie, before looking over to the living room. When Kylie mentioned Amara's prison, Merrick stopped for a moment, and looked thoughtful, as if thinking who, or what to drag out of it, before moving out. "Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on them both," Mara said with a nod.

"Be careful out there Kylie... There's no telling if he might have more servants out or not just yet," Merrick called back, rolling his eyes at Mara following them as he headed on out.

"Honestly, it's good that you've got it raining like this at the moment. Makes it easier for me to move around. And we can get there much faster," Giselle said, going to get her spear and the rest of her things that she might need.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

I was hoping it would have done more, this storm, but in the end all it did was get me close. Augh. I need to get into the storm temple libraries too. Get Towers and a Sky Shield set up. Rediculous. Kylie said, holding a hand out in the rain while Giselle got her things, Kylie pulling her gear back on and fixing another barb on her gauntlet wire. When Giselle came back she'd see Kylie working with a small set of wrenches to settle the wire and barb.

Once Tear Cove gets involved to, it'll certainly get interesting I think. But there's a lot still to do just to prepare, and then the headache of actually dealing with this thing. She said, wringing out her hair before pulling the hood on her armor up for once.

Once they were both ready they could head out for Tina.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"I'll find it, I promise. I mean, I can pretty much breathe under water now, so it shouldn't be much actual trouble to get down there. But the ocean's a huge ass place to search, so it might take time," Giselle said, wrapping an arm around Kylie.

Giselle got ready soon enough, and came down with Kylie after a couple of minutes, and she summoned up a wave of water, a small one, but tall, and she surfed up to the top of it, after scooping Kylie up in her arms, where they set off, washing over Bob, where he flailed comically at them, as they went. "Hmhm, that's my payback from a few days ago you silly doom squid!" Giselle called back to him.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

HiBobKLoveyouBai! Kylie called as they passed over bob, Kylie flailing back at him as they passed, Kylie feeling like a princess as Giselle carried her all manly and shit.

But it was still annoying. That is to say Kylie was still primarly Annoyed emotion wise. She wasn't worried, or scared, just.... Grouchy. We should send the kids. TreeRazer would be so annoyed by the end of 20 minutes he'd Kill Himself For us. Just because Terra would be singing that song and Cammy would be facepainting him with Mud "To Make Him Pretty" Kylie said, making a face. No parent was truly qualifed or prepared for those 2. No one. It took the small army they already had at the house just to keep track of them and God Help you if you had the cookie jar because Cammy would Find you. I'm thinking about the time you baited Cammy into taking a bath by putting the cookie jar in the bathroom. Bout the ONLY time I've seen her willingly get in the water for bathtime and you had to trick her into it. Only thing in the jar was Soap. Kylie said, remembering and laughing. Terra was more a fiend for rubber duckies. No Ducky? No bathtime. Though, watching Hope chase them around was always fun, and Kate was never far behind buzzing around.
