Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Ugh gods yes. I'm considering it honestly. It would make things easier. He'd never fucking catch Cammy, and Terra would cackle at him from the sidelines. Hmhm, and yeah, that little stinker didn't want to take her bath. But papa got her to finally do so though," Giselle giggled, as she swung Kylie around onto her back, and washed their wave harder, making them move much quicker now just above the treeline, as she brought more and more rainwater down to their wave.

After they made it about two to three miles away from town, Kylie saw Giselle kick the wave into high gear, and after half an hour or so, they heard a yelp from below, as the wave crashed through the trees. Giselle looked over her shoulder at Kylie for a moment, before she looked down the wave, and started funneling the water upwards, dragging whatever, or whoever, they'd hit, upwards. Kylie saw it was the little dragonling from before, and she was flailing uselessly in the water, puffing her cheeks out as she held her breath. "Who's she?" Giselle asked curiously.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

That would be Vith's daughter. Kylie said as she got run over by the wave and Giselle sucked her up. Looking at her, Kylie sighed and shook her head. Your Mom is Dead. Killed her like I promised. Kylie said flat out, crossing her arms.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Giselle washed Vith's daughter up to the top of the wave, so her head was sticking out, but the rest of her was still trapped within, before Kylie spoke. "O-Oh, well... only good thing she ever did for me was give birth to me, so I'm not upset, honestly. I-Is this... um, that Giselle, you mentioned before?" she replied, looking up at Kylie and Giselle both fearfully.

"Yes, I am Giselle. And you're coming with us, because I don't wanna turn this thing around, not when we're already well on our way. So tuck in, and stuff," Giselle replied, narrowing her eyes as she focused the wave onward.

"O-Okay, guess I'll just... relax then," the dragonling replied, her tail the only thing moving inside the water now, with it swishing about.

Onward they rode the wave, for a couple of more hours, mostly in silence, as Giselle was focusing, and needed to remain focused in order to keep them going properly without the wave dissipating. They then arrived near the place Kylie originally caught the dragonling with Kaal's help, and Giselle kept heading northwest, handing the map up to Kylie as they went, to keep an eye out on where they were going and whatnot. In the distance, west northwest of their position, Kylie saw where smoke had climbed into the sky from a fire that had been burning recently.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie sighed and rubbed her forehead as they kept on going and saw the smoke but the benefit of the rain was that it was hard to start more fires. It was hard to start a fire in a jungle regardless. Looking down at the dragonling, wyrmling, thing, Kylie tilted her head. So.... what are you? Are you a dragon? Or half a dragon? I'm confused. she asked her while they carried on, Kylie listening very closely to everything around her.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"I... I'm a technically dragon w-wyrmling. A very young one. But s-still mature though. My dragon form isn't overly large yet though, a-and I do kinda like my human form, plus it lets me use magic, w-which is something my mother had so many children for, so that some of us might have magical potential. When I grow old enough to become the equivalent of a young dragon, I'll have to choose, whether or not to be a true dragon, or a dragon kin, or as you call them, dragonborn, though I'd be literally the most pure blood dragonborn possible," she replied to Kylie's question, as Giselle turned them towards where the smoke had been going into the sky from. "M-My name is Brie," she added after a moment.

After a few minutes more, they neared the obvious outskirts of the lamia village, and saw it mostly in ruins, and abandoned. Giselle looked up at Kylie for a moment, before lowering their wave downward. "Wanna check the place out, see if anyone got left behind?" Giselle asked curiously.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Brie. Today we're going to play the Be Very Quiet and Keep Up Game. Ok? That's your job, because Giselle there is a Siren unlocking the ways of the elder fey, her companion is the Great Sea Wyrm Tidecaller, one of the great elder spirits, and I am Kylie, Cold Fire, Leader of the Feynrial Rangers and Queen of this entire island. You are rubbing shoulders with the most powerful people that exist currently on Melora's Tear. I refuse to believe that because you are Green, that you are Evil. Prove me Right. Kylie told Brie, not being cruel about it, simply.... laying lines out, letting the wyrmling know who she was with, what she was dealing with. It was true that Kylie had slain her mother, but it was also true that Brie didn't really Like her mother all that much and Love was out of the question apparently.

I wont be your Mother, I wont rule you through fear or even power. But right now, the fate of the entire island is at stake, and while most would Insist you choose a side, I am telling you to do the opposite for now. Make Feynrial your home, Make it's people your friends, make my family your family, and you will have a home that wont judge you, wont rule you, wont scorn you. But believe me when I tell you this Brie. This island, and it's people, my family, my home. There is not a single person on this planet I wouldn't kill to keep It, and Them safe. Kylie told her, looking at her seriously until they reached the village. When they did, and Kylie saw the ruins, she sighed softly. She had been right before, it had been attacked. She didn't regret her decision to pursue Treerazer instead, but it still saddened her to see it this way.

Still... Giselle was right, they had to search around to see what had happened, and find a trace of Tina and Selara. Brie, stay next to me. Giselle... eyes peeled, there are probably still demons around. That dipshit has raised quite the army... Kylie said, starting to stalk into the ruins of the village, feeling around with ALL her senses for survivors, and looking for signs of Tina's almost Ruinous strength.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Hello there little wyrmling," Tidecaller chimed in for a moment, when Kylie introduced Giselle and him both.

Brie nodded quickly at Kylie's words when she had finished talking, gulping and keeping her mouth shut. Brie didn't talk back to Kylie, and merely nodded again when they got down and Kylie told Brie to stay with her, her tail curling around her waist, as she did so. "Alright hon, be careful over there. You'll know if I see any, because I'll scream at them. And if you see or find anything, give me a shout okay," Giselle told Kylie, blowing her a kiss and moving off, while she saw the sun beginning to set in the distance, through the clouds.

Searching around the village, Kylie didn't see anything at first, until Brie gently tapped her on the shoulder, to get her attention. She didn't say anything until Kylie looked back and pretty much asked what was up, where she pointed over to the north side of the village, in a half demolished house. "I smell something in there, something... different than the burnt buildings, and nature," Brie would whisper to Kylie.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Will do. Kylie answered, feeling around for something alive while they searched the village. When Brie got her attention, Kylie turned slowly and nodded, heading towards the ruin and snapping her sword out, her adamantine dagger slipping into her other hand. She had someone to babysit so ranged kiting was out and her chain was of little use in a confined space like a small house compared to a blade.

If everything goes pear shaped for whatever reason, run to Feynrial. Kaal will be at the temple, find him. Kylie told Brie quietly.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"O-Okay, and uh... t-thanks for not killing me, b-before," Brie whispered softly, as they approached the ruined building.

Moving in closer, Kylie saw from the not ruined half of the building, that there was some movement, as someone, or something, pushed a half burnt log out of the way. Looking closer, she saw it was a lamia, a younger looking one, but still an adult. Her skin was black from soot stains, and she looked terrified, but physically alright. If Kylie moved in closer, she'd spot the girl pulling some more debris out of the way, so she could help another couple of even younger lamia out of the wreckage.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Gods Kylie hissed, rushing to help the lamia out of the wreckage, pulling them free and dusting them off, looking for any injuries. Are you alright? Did you remember a Siren around? Kylie asked, getting them out of the house and into the open so she could have a better look at them. Anyone hurt? she continued, trying to make sure they were all alright.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

The older lamia yelped as Kylie rushed over, and spoke, not noticing her before, and clutching her chest before calming down a bit. "Y-Yeah, she was o-over that way, I saw her out the back window. S-She had this huge halberd, a-and she was swinging it around with just one hand, s-smashing the demons a-and other things, that were attacking. M-My sisters and I couldn't get out of the house. So I... I had them jump in the tub, and I filled it up with water, and soaked a big blanket in it, then covered us with it. And m-my littlest sister's hand here got burned a little, but not too badly. Nothing that a bit of aloe won't help," the older one replied, pointing towards the northern edges of the village.

"A-Are we all that's left?" the lamia asked fearfully.

"KYLIE!!!" Giselle called from the east, suddenly.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Yeah that's her. And thank the gods you at least are all right. We don't know if you're the only survivors, it's why we came out here from feynrial, to check. We all got hit pretty hard. Kylie started, before she heard Giselle. Kylie motioned for everyone to follow and started running, moving for Giselle fast.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Everyone followed Kylie towards Giselle's voice, and once they arrived, Kylie saw... a massive ring of fallen demons, fungal, and plant creatures. There had to be at least a hundred of them, just in that one little area, black, red, green, and purplish colored blood sprayed everywhere, staining the ground, the corpses, the trees, pretty much everything.

"I think we found sis's work. Jeez, she must have made a stand here to draw off as many as she could, from the main village. I'll bet she charged into them. But there's none of her blood around, at least not sizeable portions of it, to indicate that she was slain, or taken. And her halberd's not here either, meaning I know she didn't go down, at least not here. There's nobody alive that can lift her halberd, pretty much, at least not very easily. Plus, look at those trees, she ran a few things through, and pinned them to the trees for a minute or so, before yanking her halberd back out," Giselle said, pointing out the trees in question, where Kylie saw the various colors of blood staining the interiors of the trees.

"I-If she did this much damage to them, then why did the lamia flee?" Brie asked softly.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

It took over 60 of us to repel the attack on the alraune village. Strong as Tina is shes just one person. Meaning they could raze the village no matter how much damage Tina did. She couldn't fight all of them. Kylie explained to Brie, while she immediately started to search the outer ring of the carnage, looking for footprints out, and slither marks from the lamia. The rain would have damaged any trails pretty badly, but they'd still be there. She just had to find them.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"O-Oh, well I guess I didn't think of it like that," Brie replied, looking a bit abashed at Kylie's words.

After looking around, with Giselle splitting off again to search elsewhere, they found, after a good 15 minutes of closely searching the ground, a trail, that had footprints, leading to the south and west. "This isn't the way to Myria. What could they possibly be wanting to go this way for?" Giselle muttered under her breath, after they met back up, upon Kylie finding the trail that had both footprints and slither marks. "Maybe she's trying to get them to the beach, so they can make better time moving to Feynrial or something," she then suggested.

"O-Or maybe there's a boat waiting for them near the beach," Brie suggested, though even she didn't look too convinced of that herself.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Both are possible. But there's another possibility to. The Scylla. And the lack of plantlife on the beach. Regardless we have a trail. Kylie said, putting her other weapons away and drawing her bow out, setting an arrow as they started moving. What are you doing Tina... Kylie wondered quietly, following the trail they'd found carefully.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"I hadn't thought of them. And hey, they can help us seal the island off too. There's plenty of them, and the merfolk," Giselle replied, looking thoughtful for a moment as they prepared to move.

Giselle summoned up another wave of water, the rain circling around them, as it rose up, with her at the top. "Alright everyone, just, relax, and don't tense up too much, okay. I can carry us all. Kylie... lead the way for us, okay," Giselle told the others, and bringing the older lamia up, and her little sisters, who were hanging onto their older sister's back, and then she brought Brie up too, to bring her up onto her own back, before following Kylie.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Normally, Kylie would have moved farther ahead to track, but right now they all had to stay together to keep everyone safe so Kylie stayed on the ground, carefully finding and feeling out the trail she had to follow to find Tina, moving slowly and carefully. There was no reason to rush things right now and possibly take even longer by losing the trail and having to double back.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Giselle followed Kylie along, while the oldest of the lamia surfed the waters with Giselle's help, while her sisters rode on her back, and while Brie rode on Giselle's back. Kylie found a spot under a large section of trees, where the trail was much fresher, after an hour of following it, the trail swerving back and forth every little bit. "Wow, that's so fresh even I can see if from up here Kylie. They must be close by," Giselle called down, before they moved onward.

Then, as night began to settle in, Kylie came upon the far tail end, of a group of lamia that were moving as quickly as they possibly could, slithering quickly. She saw half a dozen of them, all with bows in hand, and greatswords or spears slung over their shoulders.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Thank EVERYONE you are alive! Kylie called as she spotted the group, maybe having to dodge something but otherwise just taking it in stride. We were worried beyond belief! We found some more survivors! have you seen Tina? she asked, flailing at the trio with Giselle while she looked for her sister in law.
