Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie's tiara was starting to fill with the demonic essence of Treerazer, and while Kylie could taste his soul being devoured, it wasn't tainting her, and was being funneled into the tiara, instead of her. Treerazer ran on though, with Kylie having to port in behind him multiple times to latch back on, but he was fast, despite his size, and was able to evade her hold for a while, until she managed to port just in front of him and grab hold of his leg as he stepped past her.

"I... I fear nothing... not you... not anyone," Treerazer said, panting slightly before managing once more to whip Kylie with his tail, slamming her to the ground with it and raising his axe once more, the acid dripping from it. "What about you, do you fear death?" he then asked, swinging downward at Kylie, who just managed to port out of the way a couple of feet to avoid the strike, where she was able to grab hold of his arm.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Catching him again, she was thrown to the ground whereupon he hefted his axe, and took a swing at her, turning her own question back at her as she teleported out of the way. Her own weapons left behind long ago. She fought now only with the twisted body the world had given her.

She actually laughed and crackled, though she was weezing. There was no denying she was hurt. From the impact, from the spores. But she was making sure not to show it.

~Why would I fear what I've already experienced~ she whispered. She had no mouth to form words, no voice to speak with, only her mind as her words were carried on the currents of the world to their recipient.

She stood there for a moment, her head tilted slightly, letting him see her. Hell, he could FEEL her. As he had tried to world weave her home he was now feeling another with that gift, one who existed purely from it's artistic workings standing there looking at him without eyes to see.

Then she was gone.

She hadn't moved in on him. She'd simply vanished. He would feel her for a second around him somewhere, and then she'd disappear again, shadow games second nature to her as he remained where he was knowing he couldn't outrun her, knowing she would not abandon the chase. His wings were destroyed, there would be no more flying. Again he felt her nearby, too close to him this time, sure to draw a reaction. But she vanished once more. Without any way to predict where she'd move, and always teasing him by being just out of reach, she continued to dance around him, a flickering wisp in the trees and the rocks, a dark beast of the island, indeed the island itself and it's guardian now actively hunting him. He was Prey. That's what she was telling him with this. He was a meal that she had already partially eaten and despite his best efforts so far his body had been sundered, his soul drained, his mind invaded.

~Hahahahahahaha~

That cold laughter rolled down his spine. She wasn't hurt, she couldn't be hurt. She wasn't mortal, she couldn't be killed. She wasn't an avatar, or an angel, or a demon, or a beast of any ilk he knew... She was beyond his Knowledge... She was the unknown.

Worst still..... She was the Unknowable.

Her next strike had no battlecry or clever words, had no ring of steel or a fancy stroke. Just finesse. She ported in, and rather then try to react to him, she made him react to her, baiting a strike by sliding along his remaining arm. He couldn't turn the axe on himself, while her hand tore into his maimed chest, Kylie again not using this as an attack, or even a feint, just pain, lifting her legs with her abs to move along the tail he was garaunteed to whip her way. There was the gun wound. As he turned she'd finally port right in front of his face, hanging in the air a split second just before his eyes, her hand on her chain, before she Tore it from his body by vanishing again, right back where she'd started, on the ground, in front of him, just out of reach.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Ha... then prepare to experience it again, permanently," Treerazer replied after she spoke, swinging his axe at her again, only to miss. "I don't care if you can teleport, I will eventually hit you, and when I do... that's when you'll know I've won," he then said.

Every time Kylie ported around, Treerazer swung his axe at her, before she could do much. The more she went around him, the more frustrated, and angry he was getting. Another swing at Kylie, then another, and another. No matter how many times she was attacked, Kylie managed to dodge him, as she slowly fed upon his soul each time she got close enough to do so.

"COME INTO THE OPEN YOU WHORE, FIGHT ME!" Treerazer cried after Kylie had done this for a couple of minutes almost, seeming to be starting to lose it, as he slammed his axe into the ground where she'd stood moments before.

Kylie could feel her tiara filling up with his soul energies, and she knew that the spike had sundered his ability to draw more power from the earth, and was forcing him to use his own energies to fight her, which were slowly dwindling. Kylie could tell that it wouldn't take too much more to finish him, but he was still a greater demon lord, so there was a good chance he had something up his sleeve, she knew. "I will not be made a mockery of, by a little girl," Treerazer growled, obviously about to lose it again from the way he was gritting his teeth.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

~Why would I do that?~ Hahahahahahaha One arm? No wings? You are already a Mockery. she replied back to staying out of his reach. He'd swung so many times now she knew full well what the limits of his range with that axe were. She knew about his breath and when to dodge if he built it up. She had paid attention to every move he'd made so far, not a single thing had escaped her notice in this battle, or the one before. Without his tap on the earth his Aura was weaker, less dangerous as he burned through his own energies to fight her while she continued to feed.

~Tick Tock Tick Tock~ she called, continuing to mock, the mockery. ~Cmon... no disappointing last pathetic ditch effort to stay alive? Can't you feel it? I'm killing you without even touching you. Little by little... she hissed to him. She kept moving. She smiled at him, stepping around a tree and failing to come out the other side, the obvious conclusion was that she had teleported again. But she hadn't. This was a bluff, a true bluff, and she stayed there, just out of sight. Let his rage build, let him look for her, let him know he was a joke to her.

~Ready to Kneel, Dog?~ she called to him from nowhere, though she wasn't stupid enough to stay still for long, immediately moving to another tree, repeating the twisted game, visible, invisible, left, right, above him, behind him, in front of him. She was everywhere all at once, She was waiting for him to do it, waiting for the opening whatever he had planned to create, all the while watching the gaping wound in his side from earlier, while she began to weave the world. Not to mend herself, she was building the purest energies the island had to offer that she could guide all right here underneath him. Holding them, her own ace in the hole, a maelstrom of energy should she suddenly need it as she continued to bait out his last trump card bit by bit.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Treerazer looked around to try and find Kylie, and though she didn't seem him inhaling to use his breath attack, Kylie was nearly blasted right in the face by his acidic/necrotic breath mix. "I will rip you to pieces!" Treerazer roared at Kylie, before charging at her again, swinging his axe and slicing a tree down.

Just as she ported out of the way, she saw him jump into the air, and slammed back down, releasing a massive burst of demonic energies around him, the power of which knocked Kylie off her feet. "I kneel to no one!" Treerazer yelled at Kylie, charging her as she sat on her ass after the burst of energy. He was desperate now, Kylie could see it in his eyes as he charged her, but he was doing his damndest to not let her notice.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

There it was, there was his desperate play it seemed as he breathed at her, a double feint that left her knocked down as a burst of energy exploded after a leap.

He was charging her, and Kylie smiled inwardly as she rolled to her feet and let the energy building in the ground go. She had to wait until the very last second as he made to attack her not showing a single ruffled feather. She couldn't, she didn't dare make that mistake, he was increasing the drain on himself to her with every step he took before she finally ported, staying within literal inches of him as her folding sword snapped out into her hand and she turned, having appeared directly behind his trailing leg, before turning and using her alchemy enhanced strength to bury it in his hamstring before rolling just into sight of the garish wound in his body and appearing inside him again using her gauntlet's hooks and hidden blades to stay firmly anchored in his flesh. He would have been watching for this move again until now, until he'd finally made his last play. And inside him where his breath and his axe couldn't reach her, she held on for dear life, her flames inflicting absolute Agony while she drained... and drained... and drained on his soul.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

As Kylie ported around again, she found Treerazer was starting to slow down a bit, making it easier and easier for her to maneuver out of his reach. By the time he's swung at her, Kylie managed to hamstring him with relative ease, but he was able to get one last cut in on her side, before she ported into his wound again, and anchored herself down.

Treerazer flailed his remaining arm about, slamming his axe into his own shoulder to try and hit Kylie with it through his flesh, but the blade stopped literally an inch from Kylie's eyes, and glancing out of the wound she was buried in, she saw the catastrophic dragon had given chase and caught up now, and was holding Treerazer's arm in his mouth, his teeth biting down more than hard enough to draw blood. Treerazer reared his head back and slammed it forward into the dragon's head, forcing the dragon to let go, or lose an eye from one of the demon's horns.

"Feed on him... devour him... Consume Him!" the dragon said after tearing his head away when Treerazer headbutted him, reaching out with both of his front legs/arms, and grabbing Treerazer, where they began wrestling a bit, both vying for dominance, as Kylie slowly sucked the life out of the greater demon lord, and she felt the tiara filling up rapidly, with the soul of the beast.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

His determination to Kill himself with his own axe nearly cost Kylie the top half of her head as she fed, and fed, and fed, glancing out only to spot the other Dragon fighting him now, giving her the chance she needed to finish him, Kylie opening the floodgates to the void and the Tiara as she drained him for all she was worth.

Well... At least Hecate was happy. Everyone else looked a bit Queasy.

Well... Kuna also looked happy but the cat was always happy.

That derpery aside, with her ally here with her, Kylie surged the islands energy up into her from the wellpool she had summoned up before while she shredded the demon's remaining strength and dragged his soul kicking and screaming into the void that was her hunger and the prison that was the Tiara's twisted Purpose.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"I'M GOING TO EAT YOUR HEART DEMON... AND FEAST UPON YOUR FLESH!" the dragon roared at Treerazer, cackling madly as Treerazer's seemingly endless supply of soul energies were devoured by Kylie.

The fighting continued on outside of the wound Kylie was huddled inside of, and she heard the roars of the two as they fought on. Finally though, as expected, Treerazer's body finally collapsed after another minute or so, with Kylie seeing the dragon, Emerald, and the pit fiend all out there, along with the strange man, whose shadowy creatures were gone now. The dragon grabbed Treerazer's neck as the demon tried one last time to stand, and lift his axe up, where he violently twisted it, and a sickening crunch sounded in Kylie's ears, indicating that he'd broken the poor bastard's neck as he let out one last pitiful roaring yelp.

After only a few moments more, Kylie felt the last dregs of the demon's soul entering the tiara, which was now shining with a blackened light, that despite its coloring, was quite bright. The axe clanged to the ground at Kylie's feet a moment after the demon's physical body died, and the sounds of fighting to the northeast closed in slowly but surely, the death scream of the demon lord having obviously shaken his demonic forces. The dragon wasted no time at all and bit down on Treerazer's chest after rolling him over, and tore it open, searching for the demon lord's heart to devour himself.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie rose from the wound, her Tiara shining with the light of the demon's soul. She was covered in gore, her flesh painted in blood, her eyes the only part of her still burning with that dread fire, her lines pulsing and then flaring brightly. I AM THE QUEEN OF THE TEAR! GUARDIAN OF THE ISLAND! THERE'S NOWHERE TO RUN!! Kylie roared, tilting her head back to revel in her victory, the currents of the island coiling around her like angry snakes, the source of its pain slain.

Kylie grinned at her assembled allies. My thanks to you all. The contract is fulfilled But there are plenty more demons to feast on... Man. Where is Amara. And the Elemental. she said, turning her eyes to the shadow summoner.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"She's over there, the elemental refused to let me near her," the man said, pointing over to a small tree that Amara was resting against, her wounds quite severe.

"Considering what you said your price was for helping, I don't blame it. The angel wouldn't survive any sex right now. She's barely alive as it is," Emerald said, raising her eyebrow at the man.

"She had a scroll on her, that I can use to leave this place. Give it to me, and I will be on my way," the pit fiend said, while the dragon ripped the demon heart out of Treerazer's corpse, a sickening fleshy pop sounding as he did so.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Good. Kylie said, moving over to stroke the elemental affectionately while the Dragon feasted. Kylie was hurt to but DAMNIT She was NOT going to show it.

Not in this company.

She retrieved the scroll. Remember the contract fiend. I am grateful for the bargain we struck and your aid. If you wish to contact me in the future, send a messenger to wait at the barrier. She said, surprisingly leaving the door open for another encounter. Though the pitfiend was not likely to underestimate Kylie.

Turning to Emerald she winked and stepped forward towards her, reaching out to pat her shoulder while she leaned in and whispered so quietly a heartbeat would have been too loud to hear it. His soul you can eat. before she leaned down to scoop up Amara gingerly. What energies do you need for your healing... she asked her, being very careful how she moved the angel right now and turning her head towards Feynrial.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Amara was panting heavily, trying to use her energies to heal her more serious wounds, but it was obvious that she was too exhausted and weakened from the wounds, to do so. "Indeed, until then, if we meet again that is, stay alive. You are... intriguing," the pit fiend replied, taking the scroll and using it, opening up a portal to only he knew where.

The elemental, which is now named Zappity, cos fuck you, that's why, zipped around happily at Kylie's touch, apparently becoming rather attached to her since she was able to touch him, unlike most others it had probably encountered, if not all others. "I... I need astral energies... o-or holy energies, neither of which you have on you, n-nor do any of the others here," Amara replied softly, while Emerald smirked a bit, but didn't move in to take Treerazer's soul from the tiara.

"I... I won't make it back to Feynrial, Kylie... n-not with these wounds. And if you try and use your energies to force into me, in this environment, it'll corrupt me, and you'll have a fallen angel on your hands," Amara said after a few moments.

"She's right, unless you have something else to heal her wounds, she won't make it. None of us has any healing abilities, I don't think. At least, I know I don't. I'm merely guessing at the rest," Emerald said, not trying to discourage Amara, but merely speaking the truth.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Just kill the shadow user quickly. Kylie whispered to emerald while she scooped up Amara. Don't need to make it back to Feynrial, just back to my Quiver. Kylie said, porting back as quickly as possible to the battlefield where she had abandoned her bow and quiver to fish out Alan's gift, the potion of greater healing she had not forgotten, her other weapons already retrieved.

Once she had it she'd guide it into Amara's mouth, because Fuck you. I remembered it.

Emerald and Zappy should be taking care of your Stalker as we speak. He's one you should have simply killed. Kylie said plainly, cradling her while the potion did it's work.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Emerald nodded softly, and Kylie could see that she was about to do it right here and now, as Kylie took Amara off. "A-Alright, I... I hope it's not far. Because this wound... it won't close, n-no matter how much healing I use on it," Amara whimpered, holding on with one hand, and trying to press a bit of her robe she'd torn off onto the wound on her side, to stem the bleeding some.

They got back to Kylie's gear, and Amara drank the potion down slowly, listening as Kylie said what she did. "I... had considered it. But after I had captured him, I simply couldn't kill him. At that point he was completely helpless," Amara admitted, hanging her head a bit after finishing the potion, which immediately got to work on mending her wounds, the one on her side sealing up finally and the tide of blood gushing from her stopping as well.

Amara was pale... very pale, and looked on death's door, but she was alive still, and would recover, with lots of rest, and luck on her side. Just then, Kylie heard the clashing of metal, and a dragon's roar, followed by the cackling of a madman.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Seems I'm going to have to kill him myself after all. Kylie hissed, rolling her neck and cracking it in a very annoyed manner, whistling for Zappy to come to her immediately to guard her back from his shadows. He would come for Amara, she was his fixation.

Every Enemy is helpless before the kill Amara. was all Kylie had to say on the matter as she handed the folding blade to the angel. Hide it, just in case. she said, snapping out her chain.

The gun she'd left in a tree further back along the trail and well out of the way, she didn't have to worry about the crazy fucker picking it up. The ammunition was with her anyway.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie heard the clash of steel on steel again, indicating that Emerald was fighting the guy, but they were steadily getting closer to them. "Fuck... OFF already!" Kylie heard Emerald shout.

Moving closer, Kylie found the two fighting it out, and Emerald was clearly winning, but the guy just wasn't giving up. "I was promised a night with Amara, and I will have her. I've waited too long to not get what I've desired," the guy said, ducking under Emerald's scythe, barely, before doing a backflip and continuing onward after landing to get as far from Emerald as he could.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Don't you understand? You had your night with Amara? When we all camped and slept before continuing onwards to the battle. You missed your chance. Our contract never entailed what that night would contain, only that you'd have one. Your words after all. Kylie said, mocking the man and laughing.

Nor did it include anything about killing eachother, you used that to your advantage earlier with your shadows... It's time this ended. Kylie said, slipping the adamantine dagger out of her other gauntlet, the one weapon she almost never used and palming it, concealing it carefully in her hand while she stood there, while she kept her chain out at full length and moving like a snake back and forth, waiting.

She's right here, take her if you can.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Don't try and act like a djinn on me now," the man retorted at Kylie, watching both her, and Emerald carefully.

It was obvious he knew he couldn't take them both, not right now, so he did the only thing sensible he could do, he turned and ran. He snapped his fingers and summoned up some of his shadow creatures, a couple of which groaned as Kylie saw them rising from the ground, seemingly from thin air. They leaped at Kylie and Emerald, the latter of whom swatted them down like flies, as another half dozen rose up.

Before Kylie could catch him though, he'd snapped his fingers again, and a shadowy portal opened up before him, which closed the instant he was through it. "Dammit... he used a shadow path. There's no telling where he went now. Because they're so random. Even he won't know where he'll wind up," Emerald said, hacking one of the shadow creatures aside, and sweeping her scythe around to take 3 more down.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Well.... that's fucked him then. Because if he's still on the island, and the island will tell me where he is. Nothing and I do mean Nothing is getting through that barrier. Not a fucking Gate, not a Demon Lord. Anything short of a fucking God can consider the way barred coming in. SO if his fancy trick failed him he can die knowing he ran away from his obsession and failed to get what he wanted. Not only do I not care but I WILL kill him if he returns. Kylie spat, looking outright disappointed that Emerald had actually failed to kill him.

Turning to Amara she scooped her up and started back towards Feynrial, the battle done for now. Without Treerazor to back them, Tear Cove would find itself more then able to weather the assault, especially without reinforcements coming.

She made a slight detour to pick up her gun and then headed straight for the temple, cradling Amara gingerly and expecting at the very least Emerald to follow along with her new pet Lightning Beast.

Well, it'd catch up, whatever it had been doing instead of attacking the shadow man it was obviously enjoying.
