Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Annie remained with Miu for the time being, while the rest, minus Mara, gathered around Kylie. Asha stepped forward along with Thessa when asked for ones with sword experience, her elven ears twitching gently as she stood there. "I'm alright with a sword too, but don't want a repeat of earlier," Mara said, trying to gently scratch her nose before the others were told what to do by Kylie.

The others nodded when Kylie told them to watch, while Asha and Thessa both took a wooden sword, provided by Maria of course as the resident temple swordswoman. When Kylie told them to attack whenever they were ready, Asha nodded and dashed at her, not waiting more than two seconds before starting her attack. She moved deftly and with precision, letting Kylie know that this young woman was very skilled, and her swings proved this by the fact that Kylie was barely dodging them. Asha wasn't swinging for Kylie's head though, aiming instead for her limbs and midsection, preferring to wound rather than kill from what Kylie could tell. Thessa came in a few moments later and took a few swings while Asha backed off to give Thessa, who was very obviously less skilled than Asha, some space to work.

Kylie was soon forced back, yet not to the point she'd need to teleport just quite yet though. Asha was on her third set of attacks, and then suddenly, she ducked down and spun her leg out at Kylie's, tripping the young assassin up and causing her to fall. Kylie of course was ready to teleport and never touched the ground, landing a few feet back on the porch in Giselle's lap, who was sitting on the steps watching. "Oh goody, I caught a Kylie," Giselle said, hugging Kylie and kissing her on the lips before she could resist.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Once someone finally managed to land a hit, the more skilled of her volunteers improvising to sweep her feet out from under her, Kylie ported into Giselle's lap, smiling from her place.

Standing, she moved back to pat Asha on the shoulder, who was winded. Hitting nothing but air was hard on the body. I hope you all took notes, not on Asha's fighting, but on my dodging. At full strength I'm far more mobile but Asha's not bad at all, not by a longshot. When you refuse to allow your enemy to hit you, as you saw, they are forced to improvise. This makes them change their angle of attack. The more you do this, the more wild their blows will become, the more off balance they'll get. For an armored opponent inparticular, this is dangerous, as the added weight and bulk can cause them to Literally overbalance, and thus, overextend. Asha, what would have happened to you, on the ground there, if I had teleported above you, and come down on your leg, instead of Giselle's lap. she said, letting Asha think on just how dangerous that move was, no matter how effective it had proven on her fatigued trainer.

Furthermore. Asha never struck to kill. This. Is. A. Mistake. And one I wont tolerate. You do not Fight to Wound. You fight to Kill. You do not Draw your weapon unless you intend to strike down your target. Kylie continued, taking up a wooden sword herself, and nodding at Maria. Maria love, give me a hand here. We're doing this in pairs, you may arm yourself. You are to avoid being struck as long as possible. We will continue this drill until you can last at least 60 seconds without having to parry, and a full 5 minutes without being struck. she said, waiting for Asha to get ready, taking her for herself while Maria was intrusted to Thessa.

Kylie, holding her replica of a drow long knife again, went at Asha for real, and would continue aiming for every weak point in the body she knew, and more specifically the ones she knew couldn't move well, such as the primary joints, knees, elbows, and chest. But she continued to lecture as she did, giving Asha more of a handicap then she already had from Kylie's exhausted state of being. I was Killing before any of you knew what the concept meant. Take my lessons seriously and they will serve you will for the rest of your life. If you find yourself fighting a mobile opponent, Strike for the body parts which cannot move. The chest, the inside of the joints. Focus on the tendons. If you destroy your opponents ability to move, you remove their ability to fight. she said, continuing to pressure Asha. When Asha is struck, Lyssa, You're in. Rotate after in that fashion. Even if you have no weapon skills at all you can learn how to dodge correctly. Don't be concerned with how you look. Silly may be goofy looking, but if it keeps you from being hurt Do not hesitate to look the fool! she yelled to the girls she had decided to teach, just as Gestalt had her, and she beat Asha with a strike straight from Gestalt's playbook. Striking hard with the pommel of the wooden sword into the center of Asha's chest, knocking the wind out of her instantly.

Then it was Lyssa, and then Akiko, and on and on through the list. Maria was the more skilled of the instructers today, but Kylie was the most punishing in terms of giving them bruises to remember the lessons.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Assuming I didn't get it out of the way in time? I'd probably have come out with either a broken knee, shin, or femur, or a torn muscle. Only a bad pull or strain if I was lucky," Asha replied when asked what would likely have happened had Kylie teleported above her and fell down atop her. "Although, there's very few people that can teleport like that save a mage, and they would most likely panic in the event that someone like me go on top of them and attacked," she added as an afterthought.

"You told us to never kill unless we had to though, especially when it came to the creatures of the island. And also, I never stopped my motion, so you coming down on top of me and hurting my leg would have been tougher than you might think," Asha said after a few moments when told she should always strike to kill.

After Maria was called in, the priestess came over and brought a wooden blade too, moving over with Thessa and instructing her in a much less strict manner than Kylie, but no less informing. While Kylie was going at Asha, the dragonborn girl was keeping up with her for the most part, managing to parry and dodge most of the attacks. When Kylie did finally manage to strike Asha though, she found that she hit quite a bit harder than intended, her assassin reflexes causing her to do so as Asha was making a blow for her head at the same time. Kylie could feel the crunch of one or two of Asha's ribs, and the red haired girl grunted in pain but stood her ground as best she could, a few agonizing pants heaving out of her before she managed to catch her breath as she fell to one knee.

When Kylie switched Lysa in to start, Giselle moved out with Aya and helped Asha off the training ground for Amara to check out. Giselle came back over as Lysa stood there, looking a bit scared that Kylie would do the same thing to her and obviously nervous about leaving her midsection vulnerable, which was leaving her wide open in other areas.

"Kylie honey, these girls aren't assassins, and they're being trained to help keep the island's creatures primarily in check. You can't train them like you were trained. They weren't raised in the kind of environment you were. Most of these girls have lived here in Feynrial or at least on the island all their lives, not a big city where you always have to look over your shoulder for an assassin that may or may not be there," Giselle whispered softly to Kylie so Lysa didn't hear, and Kylie would see Asha trying to shrug off the pain and Amara's checkup on her to get back out and train some more, obviously not wanting to let this injury get her down. "You've barely begun training and two of your girls, the two most experienced I'd wager, are injured. I'm not saying go too easy on them, but maybe... tone it down a little. I mean I think you scared Lysa half to death with the brutality of that attack on Asha, just look at the poor thing, she can barely get into a good battle stance," she added, glancing over at Lysa, who gulped and waited for Kylie and Giselle to finish talking so they could begin.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie seemed to have trouble holding herself back with her blow, and striking far harder then she'd meant to and cracking a couple of Asha's ribs. Kylie did not show any mercy however, letting her hold herself up as long as she could, before making sure her pride remained intact by commenting on it. Impressive. she said, helping her out to her companions to take her to Amara while Lyssa stepped up. She was terrified. That was not a bad thing.

As Giselle spoke to her, Kylie nodded, before addressing everyone. As Giselle has said, and something probably of you don't know. I was and Am an Assassin. Injuries are to be expected, because you must be expected to do just as Asha did. Stand on your own feet no matter the pain. Make no mistake, I'm not excusing her until she heals, because she is injured, but because I am Proud of her. However, there will be hiccups. I did not intend to strike that blow so hard, so I shall be leaving this to Yuki and Maria. As you can all see, my Body has changed, I don't know it's limits, I barely have an idea of it's strengths. And I have trouble holding back. So, to spare you all any broken bones like Asha here, I will not be partaking in your combat training until you think you're ready for me. In the meantime, Amara will see to the injuries and I will reimburse her with a donation to the temple. While I may seem scary, or even Cold, It is because I care. I've seen friends slain because they could have trained harder, because they quit early because it hurt. As for what Asha said, about only killing when necessary? She's right, which is why I stress this, If you draw a weapon, You move to kill. You tie your weapon to that switch in your head. If you're not gonna fight, then you run, or you hide, or you dodge. Unless you're going to kill you do not reach for a weapon. she said.

Asha, I'm not sorry, and I hope with all my heart you took something from this, but you Are excused from training today. Amara, I'm going to find Yuki, I can't fight these girls until I know how strong I am. she said, turning on her heel and patting Lyssa on the shoulder.

Heading in, she went indeed to find Yuki, and told her in short what had happened, asking for her help, before heading back out to the trees and looking down at her gauntleted hands. Breathing in, and then out slowly, she braced herself, before throwing a punch at the tree with every ounce of strength she could muster. If she had been human this would likely only crush the bark.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Asha just nodded at Kylie's comment before falling to her knees, still struggling to breathe without wincing in pain. She was a strong girl, refusing to let the pain stop her. Amara looked like she disagreed with Kylie's words about training harder, but she said nothing about it and merely shrugged before directing Kylie to where Yuki was, which was up at the shrines.

Maria nodded and continued with the training for now, taking on both Lysa and Thessa for the moment, and doing them two at a time. As Kylie went up the hill, she saw Maria do a back flip to dodge Thessa's swing that came at her legs.

When she found Yuki, the mostly emotionless priestess nodded and followed Kylie over to some tree after lighting the incense on the rest of the shrines up there, apparently having been doing so for all of them. "What is it you require of me exactly Kylie? To help you train? If so, I shall need to remove my amulet," Yuki asked curiously before Kylie punched the tree, cracking the bark and putting quite the dent into the thing. "Or do you need me for a punching bag?" Yuki then asked once Kylie's fist hit the tree.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

I can't train my recruits without injuring them it seems. I just cracked Asha's ribs. And look at this tree. That's not human strength. I'm not human anymore. I need someone who wont break to help me find my limits Yuki. she said, taking off her gauntlets and regarding the tree.

I'm asking you to help me find them. Or I'm just going to hurt one of my girls. Maria can handle the dodge and sword training.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Very well, give me a couple of minutes to prepare and we shall begin," Yuki said before walking back down the hill. "I believe what happened was because of the fact you're still not used to your new form. Once you're ready, you will be able to do as you normally would," she added with a nod.

Yuki went inside and grabbed a small suit of leather armor similar to Asha's and put it on, then told Kylie to follow her. They went out to the side of the temple for now, where Yuki looked at her and nodded. "Now strike me, in the same spot you struck Asha. The same strength in the same way," Yuki said, tensing her body slightly and flexing her muscles a bit.

When Kylie struck as Yuki told her to, the blow came and Yuki grunted slightly. "That was a strong blow, but there shouldn't have been any broken bones from it. Unless she was either already injured, or she tensed wrong as she was struck. Or just bad luck I suppose," Yuki said, scratching the side of her head softly. "I'd wager it was the first of those, she was already a little injured from something. Dragonborn, especially reds, have a lot of pride and won't speak up when injured," Yuki said after a few moments.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie listened, and then shook her head That... I... ugh. of course she wouldn't. she said. Regardless, I need to get use to this or I'm going only cause more problems. I also struck her with a solid piece of bamboo, not my fist, if that would make a difference. Kylie said, leaving her gauntlets on the ground and taking a stance.

She wasn't the greatest fisticuffs brawler, but keeping knives on your wrists to stab people with made hand to hand a way of life.

Whenever you're ready. Kylie said, closing her eyes and concentrating, ears perked for the sound of an early move if Yuki did so. But opening them a moment later and ready to spar.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Hmm, well a pinpoint strike may have caused it to happen, but even still I'd wager that Asha simply had an old injury or something that hadn't fully healed and she didn't want to talk about it for fear that you wouldn't let her remain with your group," Yuki said before taking her fighting stance and preparing to spar with Kylie.

Yuki waited for Kylie to make the first move, and parried and blocked as many of Kylie's blows as she could, making a few kicks and punches back at Kylie. Yuki caught Kylie's fists at one point, one in either hand, and she tugged Kylie towards her before she jumped and wrapped her legs around Kylie's waist and got her in a sort of a hug, a Yuki hug rather than a bear hug. After a few moments, she released Kylie, and then backed off. Yuki then held her right hand up, palm open where she nodded to Kylie.

"Strike my hand as hard as you can. With everything you can muster in a punch," Yuki told Kylie, bracing herself and preparing for the incoming strike.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie was glad to have someone she didn't worry about injuring, but felt herself holding back anyway until she loosened up. When she was caught, and held, she didn't struggle, and was released, Yuki telling her to punch her hand with everything she had.

She was unsure how to proceed because if she focused hard enough, she could see the currents of air around her hand, the way the wind flowed, and had to shake her head to clear it, but there it was again. Just at the edge of her vision.

Yuki had asked for all the strength she could muster, so rather then punch, Kylie came in hard forward, turning her own hand, open palmed like yuki to thrust into hers with as much physical speed and strength as she could. It was meant break an enemies sternum or spine, or sever it with a blade. She simply didn't want to disappoint.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Seeing Kylie coming at her with everything that she could muster like she'd wanted, Yuki smiled, which was rare for her with the amulet on, where she pushed into Kylie's hand a bit. The force behind Kylie's hand however made Yuki suddenly back off with her hand, and then Kylie felt a wave of power flowing from Yuki as she thrust her hand forward again, and when the two met, a sort of calm washed over Kylie. The force with which their hands met was so powerful, that Kylie saw the leaves of the trees around them blowing even when there was no wind.

Yuki nodded to her a few moments later, smiling again before pulling her hand away. "You are much stronger than before, I can feel it. However, after that, I feel that it was as much Asha's fault as it was yours. Talk to Hiro about her past missions with the town guard and see if you can't find out if she was injured in the past, recent missions obviously," Yuki said after a few moments, seeming satisfied with Kylie's attack.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Once everything was done, and Yuki was unharmed, Kylie nodded, and then...

Flopped against the wall and sighed happily. Listening, she nodded. I'll have to. Her injury scared the hell out of the less experienced girls. Would you mind? Going to help Maria a little while I find Hiro? The soft touch is... Not my specialty she asked, blushing a little and smiling up at her before standing.

Aaaand then because she was Kylie she was already bolting off towards the village to find Hiro, who would be in the guard house or along the wall. one or the other and she was going to grill him about Asha until she'd figured out what was up with her.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Heh, the soft touch isn't my specialty either, but I can teach them to dodge properly without hurting them much I think. Don't be surprised if they have some bruises though," Yuki said with a nod before Kylie left to find Hiro. "I think though once you've come to realize your new strengths and weaknesses, then you'll be able to easily train them without any injuries. Well any injuries that are serious like a broken bone," she added with a confident nod.

Splitting up with Yuki, Kylie headed to find Hiro, spotting him in the main guard house which had their training yard behind it. "Hey there Kylie. How are the girls doing? Well other than Mara. Heard about that earlier from Reina. Don't worry about Mara though, she'll bounce back easily enough. She's broken her nose twice before," Hiro said from behind a desk which had a ton of papers on it, where he did not look like he belonged.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

I cracked Asha's ribs. Which should have happened. Kylie told him, moving straight to business. Tell me about any recent missions she was on, where she might have gotten hurt, and done the stupid thing by not getting herself checked out. she said, looking a bit miffed at the situation.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Oh damn. Well uh... she was a lieutenant here in the guard. Commanded the western watch for me. She got into a scuffle a few months back, not long before you arrived, with a pair of those northern minotaurs that tried to sneak in from the west. She took them both down herself and came out with a few bruises, but she's killed them before they could even get near the village. Then there was another time not too long after that she chased down a panther that got some of the life stock from one of the outlying farms in one of the big clearings. She tripped while running and went stomach first into an overturned log, but the ones with her said she got up and kept going and didn't look hurt," Hiro said, scratching his chin whiskers. "There was another time about three weeks or so ago that she got into a fistfight at the bar, took a knee to the gut from one of the guys, while another one held her from behind, but she broke free and knocked them both out afterwards. She rarely got herself checked out for any injuries though from what I remember. Too prideful that one, that's one reason I suggested her to you, was hoping you could break her from that prideful act of hers before it gets her killed," he went on to say.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Seems I'm going to have to... Because a training exercise left her with Amara for healing and unable to train today. Mara meanwhile sprinted into a tree and broke her nose, so my day has just been 10 flavors of interesting. thanks Hiro she said, abandoning him to his paperwork and heading back to the temple.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"No problem Kylie, and don't think too much on it, because shit happens. So you just pick yourself back up and get back at it. Also, give Mara a spanking for me. Drow slut likes it, and don't let her nose being broken keep her from the fun, she's probably just using it as an excuse to keep from having to train that lazy slutty thing," Hiro said with a chuckle before Kylie headed on out.

Once back at the temple, she saw Asha was healed now and refusing to not train at least lightly, Amara helping her and going easy with her. Maria meanwhile had all of the rest, not including Mara, sparring with her, all of them trying to get a hit on her and failing to do so because she was so nimble. Amara stopped when she saw Kylie, gesturing to Asha to take a seat again. "They were just cracked I believe, not fully broken. But either way I healed her up and she should be okay for full training by tomorrow. Just try and not hit her too hard in the midsection for a couple of extra days, because she'll be a bit tender," Amara told Kylie.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

I'll remember. She's a cutey Kylie said about spanking Mara, before heading off, thinking about just that, Tanning the drows cute little ass a bit before she made it back to the temple to see Mara resting, and Asha, Not so much.

Moving over to Asha she listened to Amara and nodded. Yup, because she never got herself checked out after her last SEVERAL jobs. Asha, what the hell are you thinking girl? You're actually lucky your ribs cracked here when a healer was around, instead of out on an actual task. Ahh! Don't make excuses, that's not prideful, it's reckless Asha. Think about it. What if that had happened when you had to protect someone, like any of the other girls here? You couldn't fight like that. Stand, sure, Fight? no. Never again. You get hurt, you get checked out. No exceptions. It's not a matter of pride, it's a matter of staying in the best shape you can so others don't get hurt because of it. Kylie told her, telling her off privately, Only Amara able to hear, before she rounded on Mara.

Mara sweetheart. she said slyly, moving up to the drow. Tell me hun. she continued, sitting down next to her, still smiling sweetly. What part of a Broken Nose... interferes with your legs? she asked, smiling like a cat with a mouse firmly in it's paws and licking her lips to match it. You know... it's funny what you hear from some people.... Like how Hiro tells me you love a good spanking. But I think it'd be a bit embarrassing to have that happen right here where everyone can hear you yelp and moan, don't you? Or maybe that would make you enjoy it more. she continued, making it kind of clear that shenanigans would ensue if she didn't get off her ass and start jogging.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

As she was scolded, Asha actually blushed and hung her head, almost like a little girl again. It was likely that she was older than Kylie, yet now it seemed that she'd been found out, she looked almost like a little girl. By the time Kylie was through scolding her, Asha just nodded and sat down, seeming put in her place by her new boss/commander, especially since it all happened in front of her healer, who looked over her shoulder at Asha with a raised eyebrow.

When Kylie rounded on Mara and said what she did to the drow woman, her dark cheeks flushed a slight pink and her eyes widened a bit before she scurried off to Miu and began running with her and Annie. Mara didn't even say anything to Kylie before going, no sass, nothing. It was obvious that she hadn't expected Hiro to tell Kylie what he had, and now Kylie had both the drow and dragonborn girls full attention and would likely have no more backtalk from either, though Asha hadn't really given her any backtalk.

Amara smirked and was finding it hard not to giggle at Kylie a bit. Maria suddenly jumped into the air while training the others, swinging her wooden blade at everyone else, who were all standing in front of her. The priestess's wooden blade hit all of the other wooden blades, cracking each with the sheer force of the blow. When Maria landed, she gently tapped each of the blades and watched with amusement as they all crumbled.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie watched Mara jog off and just... admired her backside for a moment, thinking about chasing her around with a bare hand to watch her jump and yelp.

But she was suddenly distracted by Maria being a badass and she chuckled as she broke all the swords ever. Asha was properly reprimanded and she had an edge on Mara now. The others seemed for the most part obedient, the two likely troublemakers firmly in hand. Asha was less sass, and more pride. She just had to be reminded to watch out for it and she'd be fine. Mara however... Mara was a bit of a minx and needed to be handled differently. It seemed that she was a slutty thing if Hiro was to be believed, but that she embarassed easily. She could use that. She remembered how she'd run when Kylie said she was gonna give her to Bob.

The others all just seemed eager to learn, though Lysa she'd scared it seemed she was doing fine with Maria and Maria seemed to enjoy training them. She wasn't ready to yet though, she'd need a couple days stretching herself out and finding her limits or there'd just be more problems. Sighing... She wandered off to find Hazel.... and train with Hazel... because she said she would... Fucking... Responsible... Behavior! >.<
