As soon as the two black alraune were down that Giselle screamed unconscious, she stabbed her spear down into both of their throats and ended them, moments later. The rangers fought as expertly as Kylie had taught them to, never getting right into the enemies face, unless they had to, and immediately backpedaling away from them, after landing a solid blow on them. Sheena at one point had a demon come at her, diving towards her, before she ducked, and stabbed upward into it, and split it in two, before continuing her own attack.

The battle raged on, with Kylie, and everyone else, turning the tide in their favor, as the red alraune who had been overwhelmed at that point, managed to force the fungal creatures of various kinds back. Kylie saw Mandragoras attacking the red alraune mostly, but there were other ones, but no ochus, she saw. The town guard, led by Hiro, surged into the demons that had been attacking, the okami man howling with a rage that Kylie had never heard before from an okami, as his great axe swung mightily around, cleaving demon after demon down, mostly lesser ones, but still demons. A couple of his guards went down here or there, but they kept attacking, not stopping as the melee continued all throughout the alraune village.

Tidecaller rose up around Giselle's shoulder, and a spear of water shot out from Giselle's main wave of it, controlled by the sea dragon thing, right into the heart of a black alraune that tried to make her way to a group of young alraune, who had only one pink one left to protect them, the other four that had been there all lying on the ground, either dead, or unconscious. Ayane's house in the middle of the village was burning, the large pillar of smoke going into the sky coming mostly from it. Kylie could hear screaming from inside the building, and the voice she recognized as Ayane's, along with another voice screaming from within, a much higher pitched and younger sounding one.

"KYLIE, GET AYANE OUT OF THERE!!!" Giselle screamed, rushing to the house with Kylie and washing her waters over the side of the thing to try and put the fire out as quickly as possible.

Kylie turned, just as the sharp sound of the demon in her hands having it's neck broken sounded above Giselle's voice, Another twist and both her hidden blades a half second later, and the body fell to the ground, while she dropped the head and turned to see the burning building and hear Giselle's words.

Fire. Fire. Fire. Fire. Fire. Fire Bad. Kalt teleported next to Giselle and sank down through her wave, drenching her body while a sheet of ice locked around her body for a minute or two, the assassin rushing into the building to find Ayane, ignoring the danger and the flames entirely as she looked around, Kylie fighting with everything she had to keep her meager protection from the intense heat intact as she searched.

Diving into the waters, Kylie was drenched in them, and managed to get herself doused enough to go into the still burning building, though it wasn't burning as intensely now that Giselle was washing over it with her wave of water. Kylie searched, as the sounds of battle raged on outside, and finally, after half a minute, she managed to spot one of the support beams having fallen down on top of Ayane, who was hunkered over on her knees, curled around two of the young alraune that had been trapped inside with her, shielding them with her own body from the flames to keep them from burning.

Ayane looked horrible, several burns on her body, one so bad her skin was charred black, but she didn't move, and continued to protect the children, though Kylie could see she was in absolute agony as she did this. Lifting the beam off of Ayane, Kylie saw Ayane lift her head up to look at her, her right cheek burned very badly as well, enough so that her eye was closed shut from it. "K-Kylie... t-take them, hurry, t-they're our future. I... I don't think I'm... g-going to make it out of here. It... it hurts... s-so bad," Ayane whimpered, pushing the little alraune into Kylie's arms, as Kylie heard the rest of the support beams beginning to give way. If she didn't port them out now, it would collapse on them all.

I Refuse to just leave you here Ayane. Kylie spat, standing in the flames, before she did what anyone else would see was insane. She wrapped her arms around the burning beam, screaming as the flames immediately bored into her, before she was outside with the beam, dropping it while she shook off her hot gauntlets and singed armor, part of her hair already incinerated, her own blue flames battling furiously as much as they could against the heat before she was back inside and scooping up Ayane and the children. With the beam out of the way, she could get them all and burns be damned.

When it was done Kylie would immediately grab the energies of the island, the grass and the trees and the sky and the earth, and put a hand on Ayane. This will hurt more. she whispered, before a battle against the forces of creation and Ayane's wounded body raged, Kylie trying to force the healing if only to keep her alive. Success or Failure, Kylie would turn back to the battle. She still had a child here... Her little Violet. She would destroy them all, fight until not a single drop of blood remained in her body to ensure the safety of her children.

Ayane groaned as Kylie lifted the beam, and gasped as its weight came fully off her. Porting out of the burning building, Kylie saw it collapsing moments later, as Ayane collapsed to the ground herself. Ayane screamed in agony as Kylie's powers weaved her burns shut, though it wasn't as well as Kylie might have hoped, but enough to keep Ayane alive... barely, as the alraune matron fell unconscious to the ground.

"Kylie, I'll take care of her," Thessa said, moving to take up a defensive stance next to Ayane.

Kylie saw a couple of more of the town guards go down nearby, but Hiro raged and hurled himself at the demons that took them down, and chopped their heads off. Kylie saw the gardens were mostly ruined from the trampling the demons and other beings that had come through there. The other house that Violet lived in, with Jin, was not ablaze, and Kylie saw Jin eating one of the black alraune that was attacking, while Violet cackled from within the house.

It seemed Jin was made of tougher stuff then the average Alraune as she devoured a black, Violet safe inside her home while Kylie turned away from a situation already well in hand and went back into battle, taking stances inside entire groups as her chain whipped back and forth in a terrible arc, the blade whistling around, the assassin refusing to stop until they were all slain at this point. She was heedless of her injuries, she ignored her burns, she just continued, a machine of murder moving about the battlefield like a creature possessed of fel mind and purpose.

As Kylie's chain whipped around once she saw Violet and Jin were okay, she found several of the fungal creatures going down quickly to her attacks, the things howling, hissing, crying, and otherwise whining as they went down. Kylie saw some of her rangers, and Maria and Yuki hacking their way through a group of demons, with Maria out front with Yuki, who was wielding a strange weapon, a pair of tigerclaw gauntlets, which she was pounding demons faces in with.

Maria looked quite beautiful as she swung her blade around in arcs that caught any foe with the edge perfectly, with them being unable to stop her hacking through them, with demonic limbs flying from their bodies, as sprays of blackened demonic blood went everywhere, splashing Maria and her clothing, and with her not seeming to care much about the stains.

At one point, Kylie saw Hiro lifting a strange looking demon that was obviously aquatic, and had come from the river, where he hurled it into the blazing building that was Ayane's house, where it howled in agony as he watched it burn with glee in his eyes, before turning to attack the rest. Slowly but surely, Kylie and the others were able to begin routing the demons and their cohorts, the alraune managing to regain footholds that they had obviously given up early on in the fight.

"LET NONE ESCAPE. MAKE THEM PAY FOR WHAT THEY'VE DONE!" Hiro shouted to his people, where the town guard charged into the last remaining group of demons that were retreating, catching them before they could as the melee sparked back up into full strength again.

The tide was properly turning the battle from a one sided slaughter into a reversal and then a full on route as the myriad groups of Feynrial took back the Alraune Village foot by foot, gaining lost ground handily while Kylie and the Priestesses moved about in the thick of it all. Where Maria was beautiful and Yuki ferocious, Kylie was a dread shadow disappearing and reappearing between heartbeats as she did as much damage, killed as many of the enemy as she could in the smallest amount of time.

When the enemy appeared to be trying to retreat or rally themselves, Kylie would appear in front of her rangers with a hand raised, before letting it drop. RANGERS! HUNT! she cried, telling the girls to abandon their positions and pursue the enemy, hunting them down until nothing remained. Now that the battle moving away from melee and flame, her girls had the advantage in the dark jungle. She meanwhile hissed through clenched teeth and glared around, looking for where this had started, or for a demon still breathing she could torture the answer out of

Maria was cleaving her way through the enemy so fast that even Kylie would have had a tough time keeping up, even with her porting ability in use, the priestess dashing through a trio of demons and splitting all three in half with a single swing of her blade. One of the demons grabbed Maria after her dash through the other three, and she bit his throat, her eyes turning a bloody red, taking a drink of his blackened blood, and spitting it right in his face, where he recoiled before his head came sailing past Kylie's, when Maria sliced it off. Kylie had by far the largest kill count, having lost track around 50-60 or so, after the three hezrous from the outset of her joining the fight.

When she came to her rangers and ordered them to hunt, the girls broke into a sprint, save Thessa, who was still protecting Ayane's fallen form, and Sheena, Mara, and the others, all began to circle around their foes and came at them from behind, swiftly dashing through the trees and flanking them before they could react, thanks to Hiro's people attacking with the red alraune from the front. Moving away while the rest dealt with the main fight, Kylie saw one demon, a smaller one, making its way swiftly through the trees, almost too quickly for her to spot him, but she caught sight of his foot as he went.

Her rangers knew what they were doing. Ambush Hunting was one of their most important skills after all... There was no such thing as fighting fair.

Catching sight of a demon however stopped Kylie's tracking of what was going on as she focused in on her own hunt, teleporting to the foot to get a good look, before looking to cut it off, and bring it down...... It would regret the moment of it's birth...

Kylie ported next to the demon and saw it was a Mephit, and the small thing was dashing as fast as it could along the treetops. Kylie's blade flashed out after she ported a couple of times to get to it though, and its left foot came hurtling off of it to the ground, as it went cartwheeling out of the trees to the ground near its severed foot. "GAH YOU BITCH!" it cried as it landed and saw Kylie above.

That's Queen Bitch to you, Vermin. Kylie said, glaring down at it, before appearing directly above it and grabbing it by it's throat, slamming it against a tree and starting to Squeeeze.

You would Not even know where to begin to guess how many times I learned what Real Pain is. Kylie whispered quietly as she firmly stopped it's ability to breathe cold, watching carefully, letting the idea of the obviously slow death she was about to inflict sink in to the demon's mind.

The pressure let up before Kylie's eyes flashed an icy blue, and much like Ichiro, the demon was seeing a different world... where Kylie was the only Deciding Judge. It learned what it meant to have it's skin peeled off over 50 days... To be left to die of thirst in a pool of cool water, neck bound above the surface and forever out of reach. To Starve surrounded by food. To be told the answer to every question if only your ears hadn't been destroyed. To see it if only you weren't blinded by a pair of iron spikes.

The tortures Kylie inflicted in the span of 10 seconds covered 10 years.... There is no hope for you at all.... Nothing to save you from the agony I'm promising you.... When you want to live, I shall break that will, when you beg for death I will keep you alive by force, and every joy you ever knew in this life you have lived, will be found, exploited, used to drive you mad, and the broken BEFORE I PIECE YOUR MIND BACK TOGETHER AND DO IT ALL AGAIN FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE! Kylie roared, the air around her erupting in an infuriated burst of blue flames as her rage shook the currents.

Look into my eyes and tell me JUST how very, Very, Fucked you are... If you don't answer every. single. question. I ask you. Kalt whispered, the promise of another 10 years of fresh torment drifting just behind her cold eyes.

The Mephit gagged as Kylie grabbed it by the throat and slammed it into a tree, and the thing was squirming, trying to break free from her grasp, but wasn't large enough, or strong enough, to do so. The torturous feeling that Kylie inflicted upon the small demon, made it cry in agony as it tried to break free, thrashing about like crazy. "NO... I CAN'T... I WON'T! I'M DEAD ANYWAY... MY MASTER WILL KILL ME FOR THIS FAILURE!!!" the Mephit cried, shaking its head wildly as Kylie's voice switched to Kalt's.

It was kicking its legs against her, trying to break free, but it simply couldn't. "WHAT DO YOU WANT?!!" the Mephit cried.

Kylie kept up the pressure, until the Mephit cracked. It was never the body a torturer wanted to break... It was the mind.

You're right, you are already dead.... My hand? Is Questionable... Because you aren't Dead Already. Pass the Blame. Who sent you here, and where are they now.... Kylie hissed dangerously. I can make you ride that fine line between life and death in absolute unfathomable torment for as long as I want... Far Longer then this pathetic Master you have could ever Dream... Or you can be my Pet under lock and key for the rest of your life, and mine. Or I can simply kill you quickly... That all depends on the next few words out of your mouth... Doesn't it? Kalt whispered, another year passing where the Mephit stayed bound at the trunk of a large tree.... the roots growing into his body, inches over the entire year. While he was carefully tended to and kept alive so he could continue to suffer endlessly.

Who Sent You? And Where are They? Kalt whispered again.

The mephit screamed in agony again, as the roots grew into its body, before Kylie saw it shake its head again. "T-The Withering Lord... he claims this island. I d-don't know why... he came here to take it. I know not where he is," the mephit stammered, shaking its head in pain, as Kylie tortured him.

But you know where he might be~ Kylie said darkly, freezing his wound shut, his stump, before carrying the little motherfucker up above the trees, looking for Amara. Tell me Meat who I have only just now stopped tormenting for the moment. What is that Brand... Kylie asked as she searched, head on a swivel, referring to the axe and tree.

"N-No! I know not... he only sent me orders, and the brand... it's the mark of the Withering Lord," the mephit replied, glancing at the brand on his right shoulder.

Finding Amara, Kylie saw she was still conscious for the most part, and her worst wounds, were sealed now at least. "Kylie... good, you're okay," Amara panted softly, as Kylie saw that Amara's sword had fallen to the base of the tree, and stuck in the ground there.

If you die I'm telling Hazel you went down like a Pussy. So pull yourself together. Kylie said, winking at Amara before holding out the little dipshit demon who was still struggling. Apparently these belong to some asshole called the withering lord. Oops, one second. she said, curling her arm to turn him back to face her.

I'll show you and your lord what it means to Wither. Kylie said darkly, before the Mephit would be treated to death by spiritual sundering as Kylie drained, destroyed, and vented all the magics, energies, and random quarks of the universe slowly out of his body until he was a dried husk that soon was finally allowed to die, and then turn to dust in her outstretched hand.

I'll send your girls to get you back to the temple, I'll have Asha and Hiro clean up, and the Rangers will deal with those still fleeing. Me and Giselle need to deal with the Alraune. Kylie said, grabbing up Amara's sword and teleporting her back to the center of the battle, or what was left of the battle by now, Whistling for Maria and Yuki.

"Ugh... don't know anything about him. What have you learned?" Amara groaned softly, looking at the mephit with a look of disgust.

"You know nothing, fools. The Withering Lord... is the embodiment of decay... nothing, can fight him, and live," the mephit said, shuddering from the pain of his missing foot, and the remaining pain from Kylie's torture of him.

When Kylie began withering the little demon of its energies, she felt... almost a bit sick from its energies, at first. As she was not used to the taste of it. After the mephit was gone, she dropped its husk to the ground, as Amara nodded. "K-Keep the other priestesses here, s-save Yuki. She can take me back to rest and stuff for Aya to heal me. H-Human, Aya, I mean. The others are needed here, to heal the alraune. I'll have Yuki get as many of the townsfolk here as possible to help with the cleanup, and to help the alraune as much as possible. This place... it's been tainted now, by those demons. I need to cleanse it, before the alraune should stay here any longer," Amara replied, looking over at Kylie before closing her eyes, her left wing tattered and preventing her ability to fly completely, for the time being. "Be careful though, this might have only been a distraction attack, to lure people here for a larger attack, or away from town. I'll have Yuki begin searching around Feynrial for any demon gates, just to be sure," she added after a few moments.

There are gates under ground. The spirit of the island reached out to me, that's how I knew. But if you rush off into this alone without getting help. Amara... I'll let the slug lady have you again. Just for Funsies. But apparently this thing is corrupting the island from it's roots. I'll draw the taint out of the ground, maybe I can learn something. If anything you wont have to worry about doing the cleansing yourself. It's not exactly Tasteful or Subtle but it should work. I'll let you know if it doesn't. Kylie said, turning and moving back to the battlefield. She'd hunt down Yuki first, and finish off whoever she was probably beating to death. Amara is over that way in a tree. She needs you to take her back. I saved her earlier but she's pretty banged up. she'd say, tapping the brawler on the shoulder to get her attention, ready to dodge just in case.

After that though, she trusted the others to deal with the stragglers and instead turned her focus to the land. She remembered the... Unsettling Flavor she'd drained from the demon, and was glad she had Vented it in flame rather then trying to take it in herself. She sought out the corruption here the same way, grabbing at it, small blue wisps forming around concentrations of the corruption before she used it as a fuel for those wisps. If it worked she could start venting the corruption as scattered energies harmlessly back into the currents. Regular magic would be completely Fucked while she was doing it though.
