you could hide the knives in multiple places like 2 in each shoe 3-5 strapped to the upper legs a few on each arm and on in the hair(if said ninja has long hair) and many other places like the bum.

I held 6 around my waist no problem, if I was serious, I could have hidden some strapped to my calves and the inside of the forearms. They have to be within good reach, I assume if it's strapped to your thighs, it's not under the clothes (Unless you're wearing a very large shirt or some type of thin overcoat or something... or a skirt, but I don't wear those). It would have to be something concealed but easily reachable. Calves are reachable easy under the pant leg if you're bent over/rolling w/e. Forearms are an easy one too if you keep the 'handle' pointed to the wrist and you could pull them out your sleeve easy.

As a matter of fact, too many people hype up kickboxing, when it's competitively a point-based system, meaning some of it's focus won't be entirely on efficiency of striking.
