I'm rather curious on why the game keeps track of how long you take per level along with the amount of continues.

I figure it has to do more than just scoring given that in the gallery there's a "Special" category, makes me wonder if there's multiple endings of some sort.

I also missed the key in the 3rd area. I bet it's hidden in that vertical drop before you head to the 2nd half of the level.

It seems like not rescuing the girls also has a purpose, unlocking more CGs. 6 per level. 4 from choosing not to rescue the two girls in each level when prompted to do so, and two game over cgs for the heroine for getting a Game Over in each half of the stage.

One of the girls is always rescued before you enter the 2nd half of the stage, while you need to find a hidden key to rescue the other girl.

Seems like the no sprite-sex with the heroine remains through out the entire game, though. I wonder if I'm simply missing something since I got what might be a Bad End, either that or the catch with unlocking the special CGs in the gallery is probably simply being really good in the game, since the game does point out the amount of time you took total along with continue use at the end, probably have to beat the game without screwing up too hard along with properly rescuing all the girls.

So indeed, the Succubus from his previous game is the final boss.

After defeating her, she becomes one of those orbs that appear when the bosses are defeated....and then she proceeds to take possession of the heroine's body and claims it as her own.The cycle continues I suppose.

and I'll admit ALOT of my deaths came from suicide to get the game over CGs for each area, being terrible with the jumping mechanics and a certain segment with guillotines all over in the 4th stage and the vertical auto-scrolling section on the last stage.

As for the key in the 3rd area, Kirshz, you are correct it's in the vertical drop before the 2nd half of the level. Make you sure you stick to the left side of the drop and check every ledge for a hidden wall you can attack and break through -- it's one of the empty alcoves that contains no candles/powerups.

Beat the game, man that was tough
Managed to get one of the Special CG which was complete it in less than 3000 time. First Special requires you saving all the maidens which is odd because I'm sure I helped all the maidens. Second Special requires you to get the crowns from each stage, first thought picking them up I thought they were for points so they serve a purpose. And the last one is a terrible joke. Clear the game without continues. Shame there wasn't any animated scenes that I hoped for, but it can't be helped. They wanted to make a castlevania clone which they tried but failed to make it reasonably fair

This game is great as a game but fuck is the porn not worth it. They honestly might as well have just made a rule 63 castlevania. Just the game as itself with no suggestive stuff at all. Good for the retro feel but horrendous for porn. Kind of disappointing after seeing how good the succubus game was.

Also, anyone know what the debug mode does?

given I'm old enough to remember playing the first castlevania on nes, I rather like the game. don't really care it isn't a pornfest every screen. art is simple and nice, gameplay reacts mostly the same as castlevania (slight flaws)...
if all you're in for it is the h-content, wait until someone posts a gallery up or something. I admit I was hoping for more from that content, but I'm happy with the gameplay alone

LOL! I found a huge glitch on the game. On the 1st stage after picking up the secret key, on the beggining of the next area I jumped and used the throwing scythe to break some walls and the mc started flying away off screen and I couldn't play anymore -.-

This is why I don't play H games anymore...Still I keep on trying, hoping against hope there's gonna be a good one out there eventually (you know, something interesting, not your average GoR, be it CG or sprite), just to be dissapointed time and time again. Luckily I thought of checking the thread before trying this one, though I still got dissapointed...

That's the problem though, there IS porn in this and it IS advertized as a porn game. If one's gonna make a porn game, they better go all the way and not tease the audience just slightly less than the Onichambara games. If you're going to hardly put any h-content in, just don't bother and focus on making sure the game itself isn't glitchy af because all you're doing is losing an audience you could have gotten from just making it a non-h game.

On the DLsite page, the developer included the debug code (third picture).
Unfortunately, this only allows for players to replenish health and weapon meter by pressing the 'C' key.

Well I actually bought the game cause of the Gameplay and not by the H-Content even though it's an H-game, and honestly the one of the best classic platformer I've played this year. the gameplay may possibly be on par with the classic Castlevania games. Well the H-content is garbage but the gameplay was great. been a speedrunner all my life and I actually beat the game without a continue, all I need now is to find the crown and I will be able to beat the game with 100% completion.

Have you tried Kamidori? Its by no means perfect, but its fully translated into English (fan translated of course) and a decent strategy/RPG.

On topic: I'll pass. I've been playing the Castlevania games since the NES days but I can't stomach the old skool design anymore. After Castlevania IV on the SNES, I realized how intentionally unfair they were.

hmm, mostly retro stuff like, Super Metroid, SMB series, Zelda classics, Megaman Series, etc. if you're asking specifically then I have lost count, cause I also speedrun new gen platformers like, Shovel Knight, Super Meat Boy, Ori and the Blind forest etc.
