". . .nice." Caitlyn rolls her eyes, wiping the bottom of her shoe on a clean spot of the floor. "It does look like this place is pretty well cleaned out." She scans the empty shelves, "Too bad. I say we should keep looking for another place."

Holding up the single magazine she shrugs, "This doesn't seem like much to take back to the inn."

"Agreed, let's check the next one, it's a few blocks away from here." River says, grabbing what she had found and sticking it in her backpack before leading the way out.

River and Caitlyn left the store, then departed for the next gun store.

(Perception check)

Both River and Caitlyn stopped, as they saw two centipedes crossing the street in front of them... They haven't been noticed yet.

River immediately crouched, taking long, slow strides towards the nearest hiding place and gesturing for Caitlyn to follow her quietly.

Caitlyn draws her pistol and follows River, staying quiet. She gives River an apologetic look, knowing that she's not the best at sneaking.

River quickly hid, but as Caitlyn trailed after her, she tripped a little, cursing as she did.

One centipede kept walking away, but the other turned it's head, then began to advance after Caitlyn

(Only one centipede detected Caitlyn, the other is still unaware of their presence.)

River peeked around the corner, then ducked back into a corner between the alleyway she had entered and a dumpster, quickly motioning Caitlyn to run past her into the alleyway.

Caitlyn nods to River and takes off running for the alley that the redhead indicated.

As Caitlyn retreated from the centipede, it followed her into the alleyway, still getting closer to her. Caitlyn found that there was a iron fence blocking further retreat from the bug, and she knew she couldn't climb very well.

Caitlyn turns and drops to one knee, taking careful aim at the centipede. She waits for it to completely enter the alley, hoping that it is far enough away from it's companion that her gunshot won't be heard, before firing a single round from her .38

(( Action: Aimed shot at the centipede. ))

River waits patiently as first Caitlyn and the centipede go by her, before starting to move again. She sneaks up behind the monster, keeping to the side to not get in Caitlyn's line of fire, then put her gun as close as she dared and aimed for what she hoped was a weak spot.

River snuck up behind the bug. Aiming for it's head, she splattered it's brains all over the ground in one shot, killing it instantly.

"Wow," whispers Caitlyn as she slips her finger back off the trigger. She looks out towards the main street again, curious to see if the other centipede heard the shot that killed it's companion. She moves closer to River, giving her a smile of appreciation.

The other centipede seemed to be long gone.

"Now just watch," Caitlyn smiles back at River and laughs, darkly, "When we try to head back to the inn, we'll be attacked by the centipede that ran off and the spider from before."

"It looks clear though, for now, let's keep looking for that other shop you mentioned."

River looked somewhat surprised at her own success as well, smiling back.

"Wouldn't that be peachy? I doubt it though, every time I've seen these thing they were only with their own kind. We're not too far off now, should be just around that corner two streets up." She says, pointing to the corner as they exit the alleyway as she puts her gun away with the other hand and starts her vigil once again.

Caitlyn follows close behind River, continuing to scan the nearby buildings for any sign of trouble as they pass.

As they got to the next gun store, it was the same story, it looked to be looted clean.

In the back of her mind, Caitlyn notices the lack of guns in the stores, compared to the guns at the Inn. If all of these guns were looted by the women from the Inn, then why aren't there a lot of weapons at the Inn? Where else could they have gone? Who else could have taken them?

"Another dead end," Caitlyn scowls, kicking a rock down the empty street. "It looks like this place has been picked over just as well as the last shop." She shakes her head, "Makes me wonder though. If the Director's guards had that kind of firepower, you think we would have seen it, right?"

She looks from one end of the street to the other, "I know we could have used some more guns but I do know that there was a drugstore nearby. Maybe we could at least pick up some medical supplies while we're out here; first aid kits and antiseptic."

She wondered if anybody back at the inn might have an idea as to who else was looting. She thought back to the first night: the Inn had been the only lighted building she had seen during her flight from the church; where else could there be armed survivors?

"That's... Worth thinking about." River says slowly, wondering about the seeming lack of guns herself. "That woman with the broadsword talked about another woman who was against us, right? Maybe she has her own competing business or something, and took everything they could just so we didn't have it... Yeah, I know which pharmacy you're talking about, it has pretty good roof access." She says, turning to head that way, still watchful of her surroundings.
