Re: MediaFire becoming strict?

Please excuse the bumping but I just wanted to share for those interested...
2 things: 1. This thread is like the most smartest thread as far as legality terms and shit I've read in this forum yet xD.
2. The reason Mediafire is Hardassing up, according to my Mediafire sources, is due to threats from the Federal Government with DCMA... Now I could give you the whole lowdown on what exactly is the issue at hand but it would just be tl;dr so I will just summarize it in a small story like chronicle... So here goes:

Long Time Ago... MediaFire was born, and then it got cancer and slowly died.

The end lol j/k

When MediaFire started they had awesome ideas, Free sharing for everyone!~ And so they did... After the first death of Megaupload people turned to MF for the free downloads, free hosting and above all free parallel downloading! This huge increase in traffic generated attention from the Federal Government Authorities, seeing in their eyes as the rat they killed took on another shape and spawned elsewhere. Coercion and threats to suspend, jail and fine left MF with little options. Unlike other animals in the Wild Kingdom MF opted for the path of an animal whose name I fail to recall. So they began the process of weeding out the freeloaders and parasites that add to the burden of DCMA but do not provide financial support. The stricter policy was born. If there were members still willing to stay and continue their dark deeds then they would have to provide financial support. Almost all the features that were free have become available only to premium memberships. And so... this is how MF got cancer... Fall on your sword by reducing your clients to almost none and avoiding the the ever watchful pink eye of the FGA or tax the shit of those who still remain loyal and truthful.... cause someone has to pay for their lawyers when shit rolls downhill and your tent is wide open... The End.

No excuse for how they handle it! Any other download site just deletes it for DCMA violation and continue on. You don't get banned or strikes! The way they are doing it they will be out of business before long! They don't even verify or contact you.. sorry that is a save file your striked! Sorry that is porn your banned. oops sorry no sorry in there vocabulary they are a bunch of ass wipes.

I don't think I'll ever understand the hate on pornography, it doesn't hurt anyone at all, to say it could is 100% Grade-A extreme crazy imo. Hopefully laws regarding it get toned down in the future, but eh. I'm sure the Feds could spend their time in much more beneficial ways/just have nothing better to do...
