Having finished with the queen for now, Mei turned to face the remaining elite soldiery. They were badly overmatched already, so the whole battle deal went by in a few minutes. A few of the monsters stayed back, though, notably one that was adept at magic, likely with the intent of burning the building down. When ordered to do so the queen meekly followed along behind Mei-Lien, and then was prodded on ahead of the demon, her mind still dominated by the spell. All the varied mass of tentacles poured out after them, moving on out of the castle. Once they had gotten out into the streets smoke was already rising from the stone structure, one of the final acts of their victory. There seemed to be almost no soldiers left in the city, or at least none who hadn’t shed their weapons and armor already. Instead people were starting to poke their heads out of windows, staring at the sight of their now former ruler being paraded about the city.

Most of the people seemed to view the scene with a mixture of disgust, sadness, and resignation, at least for the first part of the journey. Then Mei-Lien and her procession reached the poorer parts of town, and she started to see a much different reaction. There were many who seemed quite happy over the sight of the nude royalty, apparently not having been quite content with her reign. Once they had reached the slums of the city every other window seemed to have a blonde leaning out of it, and soon they were throwing things at the fallen queen. Rotten fruit and vegetables, chunks of wood, and many other less savory things… The parade had only traversed half the city before the queen looked to be near the point of collapse, covered in various liquids and remains of fruits, as well as bruises from the more solid things that had hit her. As per some of her expectations, Mei saw that the initial paradeing had little impact outside the usual reactions to what one would have about such a scene, the common disgust and despair. Maybe these ones would now learn to stop with the splitting of people according to their looks or heritage. At the less wealthy areas, there was a much more resounding and pleased reaction, but it soon turned into a bombardment of generally unpleasant things. When the puppy eyes were turned at her, the redhead punted the queen onwards. "No. This is what you get for your deeds. Now move it, you waste. The final portion of the journey was the most vicious, with lots of rocks and things thrown at the fallen queen, but after quite the struggle the parade came to an end at the city gates. The former queen of the city was a bloodied, battered mess as she stood there, looking to Mei-Lien for her next orders, and the lieutenants that had followed along were also looking for their dismissal, seeing their job as more or less finished now.

"Good girl. Here we go." Mei commented as they started the walk of shame once more, the item rain only getting worse as they advanced through the remaining areas of the city. When the knockdowns that happened came, she did not try to force the queen into getting up faster, letting her do it on her own power. At the gates, it was finally over for the former royalty, who was pretty darn beat up and bruised after the entire tour. "Right, you just wait until we manage to regroup." she told the prisoner before turning to the remaining lieutenants. "You guys, good job. Personally, I think you are free to go back to your normal lives. So, unless you had something else in mind, you are free to go and carry on like you did before all this." the demoness adressed all of the varied beings, settling down onto a nearby rock to wait for the mistress and Rosa to come back.

The lieutenants began to wander off, some with thanks for their dismissal, others silently, most of them seemingly happy that the whole ordeal was over. The tentacles began to filter off as well, heading either back to the castle or wherever else they lived. If so, let’s get out of here” and then pointed to one of the few remaining tentacles, saying ”you, carry our royal guest home, and give her a nice fucking while you do.” The monster seemed barely able to contain itself, waiting only for the rest of the group to start moving before pouncing on the prone mage.

Somehow, the initial entry of the two others got Mei's suspicions up. But she didn't pay it any further mind, instead keeping with the mistress and Rosa. "Hopefully it turns out for the best. That place already went through enough hassle today." the redhead aired her own thoughts about the city and their future. Soon, some further things were suggested to her, namely getting some magical aid via something that appeared to be a spell power leeching ritual. All things considered, she should probably do it, given the nature of their captive. "Hm, right. Sounds like a reasonably wise move, both for me and the people of the city. Who knows if she decided to try and get back at the people if we happened to release her for some reason or accident."

Eventually, the remains of the army returned to their home. The two girls had been waiting for them, but were now sleeping away against each other. A decent amount of time had been spent there, for sure. At the mistress' suggestion, Mei remained with the two for a bit, taking a spot next to Hannah. She didn't want to wake her up right away, so they would likely sit for a bit before the two got back into wakefulness.

Predictably, the conversation quickly steered itself into the parents that she had been helping to escape without too much harm, at least on the physical side of things. "Sure. I told them to do as you asked, and they got away to the port with the help of the mistress and her marked necklaces. Those things told the monsters to leave the oldies alone. Tess finally spoke up after a while, saying "it's good to see you back. Where are the others, though? We kind of started dinner for you, and then came out here to wait. We should get inside, find the others, and have a nice meal."

"I did promise to take care of them, and here we are now." Mei offered her words at the teary mage. It wasn't any surprise that she felt like this, but at least both parties were most likely safe and carrying on with their lives. Finally Tess too decided to speak up, informing the redhead about a meal that was waiting inside. "They already went inside. So yeah, maybe we should too. No real reason for us to sit here in the dark." the demoness agreed, letting the other two gather themselves before they would head inside.

Hannah slowly got up along with Mei-Lien, and the three of them went inside, heading towards the kitchen, only to find Rosa already there, poking around with a salad. "Go, shoo, to the dining room, I have things under control here" she said, brushing them away, though once they were leaving she did call out "oh, and thanks for leaving this stuff for us, makes my job easier." They went back to the dining room then, to find Erica sitting there by now. "Good job today. All of you, you two seem to have been productive while we were away" she said, holding her chin in her hand. The elder demon seemed pretty tired now. They all sat down, and soon enough Rosa brought out the salads, topped with just a little bit of meat that she had quickly prepared. "Get it while it's hot, and then let's get to bed. It's been a long day" she said, setting it down in front of everyone and then sitting down to eat rapidly.

They had to make it into the kitchen first, where somewhat surprisingly Rosa was already doing things. She didn't have to tell Mei twice to go into the dining room, the demoness was tired enough to not want to deal with preparation of the food. At the main eating area, Erica was waiting for them like expected. Listening at the mistress talk a bit, the redhead nonetheless maintained her attention at the food that was about to come.
