After extracting it to a folder and attempting to run it just gives me a black screen and does nothing.

My OS is Windows 10 64 bit. If more information is needed I will provide it.

Black screen, so possibly :
Problem reading the file (Are you using Japanese local setting, if not set them and retry)
Corrupted date / name file. Make sure you got Japanese local setting on your computer, redownload and extract the work
Trouble accessing the file : rename folder so that there no foreign charater (like Japanese Kanji) in the path to the exe. Try moving the work folder to the start of the HDD
AV weirding out. If the AV think it malicious (false positive happen on Japanese software due to the diference in coding originating from the language in rare case) : add an exception or turn of the AV the time to try launching the soft.
OS incompatibility. Even if the work is tagged win 10 compatible, try starting it in compatibility mode, trying different version. Even if you're using an admin session, also try forced admin mode.
Last, the dlsite page say (window media player 7 or above required). So make sure you have an up to date WMP, CG driver, window and check your codec in last resort.
