Nation of Secrets

It is the year 2045. The nation, which used to be a democrat versus republican setup, has changed into a soft yet firm dictatorship by King Gregory Montgomery. He has shown no signs of corruption. Everything seems fair. Even outside of this nation. Nothing has changed the lifestyle of the citizens. Heck, gas prices have lowered considerably, even with a compromise with neighboring regions about a rising debt to them.

Everything is fine. But Mellamy did not see it that way. She has been on an online forum, which 'illegally' discussed the secrets behind the nice King Greg. What he does is invite the most intelligent of people from the nation, and culls them, effectively 'dumbing down' the nation for power.

King Greg isn't very mean though. In fact he has this 'calm grandpa' sort of demeanor to him. A kind of guy you want to ask for 50 dollars from for a visit.

Melllamy is seen on the internet. On her email, it says "Change of gears. IMPORTANT" by Nintendo. She was part of their rewards club previously, as she is an avid Nintendo fan. There is a shotgun in a case for show, despite it being loaded, in her bedroom. She loves Nintendo so she wants to click on it. But there is a knock on the door!

A.) Get the door. Read the email later.

B.) Read the email real quick.

B) Who knows, it could be important, besides, you never know when the door you open will be the last.

Mellamy yells out. "Just a minute!" She then clicks on Nintendo. A strange header of the email seems to be bolded in read. "NINTENDO IS NOW A COVERT MILITARY FACTION." It explains that the rumors that people have been joking about and scaring others with are true. There have been innocent people taken from their homes for a Comic-Con recently. But they were never seen again. Until recently, as a secret Nintendo operative discovered a secret torture chamber. It was said to be over 30 years old. But the blood was fresh before the operative was kicked out of the room and had it locked from the public. Nintendo asked its rewards program 18 and up to join in the resistance team to fight against this form of cruelty to people.

Mellamy looks to it in surprise. Then hears another knock. Much more like a cop knock. She inches toward the door to look through the peep hole. She sees a man clad in combat armor and an imposing helmet mask. Mellamy backs up. "Just a minute!" She then takes her shotgun carefully, then opens the door. The combat geared monster then tries to lunge at her. "You know too much. You are to be terminated." Mellamy jumped back in a scare. She grits her teeth, then shoots the mysteriously clad man point blank with it.

He seems dead.

Mellamy does not know what to think. She just killed a man out of self defense just now. She looks to her computer in confusion. She then looks back. She locks her door, then seats herself back at her computer. She went to the Nintendo website. In small print on one side it says "Military helpers click here." She clicks on it and reads up about the details. It seems that many others are helping the cause, and it seems that these 'armor cops' are found more often lately. Often dead, but sometimes taking children and unwary nintendo fans from their homes. There is a safety place made by Nintendo across the city. This is where she can get missions and how she can further help the team overthrow King Greg's armies.

Though it seems very dangerous to go out...

A.) Stay in and weed out the enemies, should they come in for their comrades.

B.) Try to drive to the safety place.

B) If you stay at home, they'll just come in bigger numbers...and you only have so many shots.

B. Because if video games have taught me anything, it's that you always have to keep moving or an imp will hit you with a fireball. Or something.
