So no word from the programmer side whatsoever? Nothing on her socials or anything? Just disappeared from the face of the earth?
Hey, I was only speculating. I think the only reason we know Noisy Crown is a duo is because of the one post made by the programmer. Other than that I think they've always communicated as one party. So no word from the programmer side whatsoever? Nothing on her socials or anything? Just disappeared from the face of the earth?
Where??I can't find the 2013/2014 demos anywhere, not even on archives. Can anyone PM me one of them? I did find one blog link, but it is password protected (ryona didn't work) and says he moved blogs. The new blog doesn't have either of these demos.
Edit: I found the 2014 demo I believe. Definitely more content than the reupload that the creator provided us.
I have a chronos fear demo where the application itself is from september 30, 2013. The total file size is 25.5mb. Is the version you found different? I wasn't aware there was a reupload of the demo, or that it had less content.I can't find the 2013/2014 demos anywhere, not even on archives. Can anyone PM me one of them? They have an RPG Maker version that's in the works, and "re-uploaded" the flash version. It's really just a version with sound, more updated controls, and way less content.I have the 9/30/13 one as well its has no sound, I didn't know this every got any forum of update over that. I know they posted on ci-en.dlsite.com recently but not seeing anything that says its back in the works, or that they are working on anything.
It's probably the same one I have. The "re-upload" is actually a different demo with sound and a lot of content is lost. There is a tiny tiny tiiiiinnyyyy bit of new stuff, but it's mostly the same game.

Rly? How's the progress so far? They are active and remaking it in Unity. They post updates two times a week on their blog site
Damn, a long way to go then. I just hope it doesn't take too long that I completely forget about it.The illustrator is only working on commissions to post to Ci-En, and the programmer (who also does the music) is learning how to use Unity.
The programmer is using assets that have already been made by the artist (some of them likely from 10+ years ago) to implement enemies & animate them.
They recently showed a prototype (that will not be released), demonstrating... Basic movement & some particle effects.
In other words, they haven't even started yet.
Sorry to dissapoint, but you should read through the whole thread and check out the dates on those posts, man! Beware, the catacombs go back to the beginning of recorded history.Damn, a long way to go then. I just hope it doesn't take too long that I completely forget about it.
Thnx bro, you're the GOATSorry to dissapoint, but you should read through the whole thread and check out the dates on those posts, man! Beware, the catacombs go back to the beginning of recorded history.
Over the last 13 years, the devs have created and scrapped at least two different versions in Adobe Flash, one in RPG maker, one or more in Unity, restarted development from scratch at least twice, changed the scope, gameplay, & type of game two or three times, and the programmer even had time to spin off on his own and create a whole other game in that time (taking 1 or 2 years).
The team has spent the last ~9ish years just pissing around. They spent 4-5 years drip-feed re-releasing artwork the artist made years ago (some of them a decade old), as well as the artist taking commissions probably because there hasn't been any actual work getting done on the game. Even in the recent prototype showoff, the programmer says he's just experimenting (not even making a new version of the game) and is using asssets that the artist already made. By the looks of some of the recent teasers, it looks like they're re-using some assets from the 2013 alpha of the Flash version.
I've said it before and people have PM'ed me for it (I haven't forgotten), I have some stuff that I don't think most of the fans have seen before, and I plan on bundling it up and sharing it somehow, when I get the time. It's all stuff that's been released for free throughout the years, but I think fans might find it interesting. Some of it is now lost media.
The only stuff I don't have is anything the devs have only ever released paywalled. (I can't figure out how to go about this in my country with the payment providers available)
Don't wait around for me though, it's going to be a while. I still have to sort through it all and remove duplicates, fix some edits, figure out how to extract some things, and organize the whole thing.
In the meantime, go check out some other developers & games. Tozicode has been blogging their development on note.com, the developer of Demonophobia (you read that correctly) should be releasing their newest game soon, misinkoujou appears to be working on a new game, stドッペル still seems to be working on their game, the developer of VH Katteban released their own spinoff least year and there are now people making mods for it, morinoyakata/Elf Tea Garden finished their 2013 game and have gone on to make more games...
