Dropped twenty dollars on this game. It got me an KV-2, SU-100, and SU-152. I think I hit the diminishing returns where it takes more cores to get something new from the store. On the plus side, only 60 more points until i get a 5* tank from the store.

Well oh well. If I'm going to be just spending 20 dollars and recycling like 90% of them immediately.. it feels like I'm not getting good value. >_>

It looked like one of the world of warcraft raids I used to participate in regularly. You cannot see anything at all and there was so much lag to the point where the frontline didn't move forward until almost all of my tanks was deployed.

And was there some kind of massive nerf across the board? My tanks is just little bit weaker than before..

And what's up with level 28 portal of chaos? I was winning and tore the enemy tanks to shreds then they bring out their infinite stuns with no cooldowns and so I died instead.

Was looking at the gatcha list and noticed that the t34/85 that one starts with as Russian is not marked as owned in the list.

Whereas all other tanks gotten through normal means are.
The same for starting tanks of US and UK teams?

Minor bug.

Ran into the situation that I am out of tanks with stories etc. Since the only one gained so far with one is the T34/85. Random bad luck I suppose, but that sort of gap is generally unwanted, the model applied is such games is generally the opposite, too many to get them raised, maybe getting a tank or two with scenes somewhere around Khorat would be adviceable to avoid gaps for early players

This has been boggling me for some time: the (amateur?) artist responsible for designing most of your characters seems to have something approaching a fetish for breast plates.
And those armor pieces and associated clothing seem to be designed with specific purpose of suppressing, not enhancing, sex appeal.
Is this intended? Trying to get lower rating for wider audience?

Each nation's team has different starting tanks. But you can get all of them through gameplay. Whatever ones you start with will not be marked in the owned list because you do not get them through normal means. They will be marked once you do.

is it just me or is it kind of...well winners write history sort of thing: there are tanks of asia and the third reich, but still, there are only british usa and sovjet lieutenant...and btw, whats the idea behind the lieutenant at all? bit increase of the skill effect, attack and hp? overall this feature of the game looks extreme underdeveloped.

but nonetheless i like the game so far, PoC could be bit better polished and factory could need a filter to set what kind of tanks you aim for when building (role and nation?)

Game just came out. There is plenty of time for adding in tanks. It would be dumb if they were all in at launch. IMO.

For those going to try the portal:
Fun? Not really. Not to mention you're basically forced to get 4* or better tanks to compete at enemy lv30+. Which isn't -difficult- if you have 4 construction slots thanks to the prereg goodies, but it DOES mean a rich get richer cycle where new players that aren't planning on shelling out big will gradually keep falling behind in the rankings.

For me the portal feels like a wasted opportunity. Enemy design isnt inspiring or clever, it LITERALLY chuck 5* units at you until it runs out/you lose, whichever comes first. The rewards for anyone that isn't willing to grind to the max/throw money at it are painfully average.

I understand that the portal is pretty much copied from the mobile version, but come on. It could have made for a great launch event setting. Throw some corruption lore bits in, rescue some tanks trapped investigating/go investigating and find non-hostile corrupted tanks, allowing you to introduce a tank or three to the roster and then introduce ladder rankings once people have had a real chance of getting their rosters together.


On the bright side, it gives me something to dump my oil glut in I suppose...

Just a bit of a different take on what you said here. And I may be the minority with this opinion.

For your first comment, you need to realize that while spenders may seem to have an advantage, its not one that actually helps them in the long run, thus it is unlikely to stay that way. I can't make oil any faster then anyone else, and higher end maps cost a fortune in oil. Spending on it? For what, getting back what you spent at best? It's lack luster in rewards regardless of your %. PoC has one purpose, building your BP's. The extra stuff is really a nice add on but its only going to get more competitive the closer teams get to max level. With in a year most people will have multiple 5* and numerous 4*'s due to login rewards and just in game non-cash shop means. Inevitably everyone will be similar, it's just gonna be awhile before many players see it, 6 months a year maybe?

This will probably be the only portal event you see me anywhere near the top. Why? Cause its 3 days long. I'm not gonna go out of my way and keep the stoppage on unit building ect. to conserve oil. And honestly its not really worth all that, considering the only real reward is a stack of candy for anyone who has spent a decent amount on the game. (I did not whale out on this game as I have others, cause I can't honestly).

Other then this, rewards are kinda meh regardless of placement, no arguments here. Given what has to be done to get there, and the loss of other game areas to accomplish it. :)

As to all the other comments, I concur completely. A lot more could be done, and from what we hear, the Devs are looking to make a lot more happen then we currently see. Considering this Dev team is active and has no DMM to answer too, or even deal with, they have a lot more freedom then other games on Nutaku, they also listen to suggestions that might improve the game, which is way better then most any other game you can find, Nutaku or other wise.

Parts of the long thesis has some quirks to be overcome apply fully, imo,

Long and mostly just thinking out loud rather than commenting on anyone, post above just triggered some thoughts. So spoiler tags,

- All become alike if playing long time
Maybe, If they continue to play for such long time. An unlikely assumption for a majority of players in these types of games as only a minor portion survives to make the long trek.

Also assumes that the game does not power creep or evolve extending the "ladder" further into time, often indefinite.

- Games need to live for a long time to run a long time (obviously)
Generally requires one or more powerful hooks of some sort to achieve that,

*I want that Babe (ProjectR &, FKG) - Heavily art dependent
*Flashy (ProjectR, FKG) - Art and Engine dependent somewhat gameplay too.
*Very solid GamePlay (Aigis) - Engine & Gameplay
*I want to be #1 to get xxx (Kessen Battle Arena) enormously heavily dependent on its franchise and particular art

Though I enjoy the game, imo, barring some significant effort (art) and less so elsewhere (engine, events), some problems could already now be more than suspected to crop up when eyeing the competition more so in the post-being-new phase.

Important note. Not bashing, in starter phase here, but, is actually 1 year old elsewhere. Chassis was there, just needed art etc. on top. And is thin there but choose to launch thin. So being new does not entirely count for the normal "armor value" given new games imo.

- Spending & long run
The purpose of spending is not to help in the long run, it is to remove the long run that is required normally and/or provide gratification or rewards in the here and now.

- Whalers and Whales
An recurrent topic in all games. Whales are needed, the life blood of the game, but have an ability to trigger whalers who for better (annoying at flashing) or worse (resents spending's power and ignores its necessity) reasons go harpooning

(Think Røse grumbled rather than Harpooned though).

Anyways, I'll take an team ULMF Whale (just kidding :)) over another, more whales swim here, more interest in listening here regardless of game.
Am actually rather pleased to see one of "ours" near the top.

- An observation (not related to another post)
The Template has long since matured for this market type.

The tricks are alone to balance it or if exceptional to break its borders and corner the competition in doing so (most that try that will come to grief however unless brilliant or lucky).

All the while providing a superior experience in some way that makes people come to you, and being an adult game, art obviously gain an equal footing to gameplay that would not normally be the case for regular games, in fact in extreme cases art almost alone can drive it (ex. Kessen Arena).

- wrapping up
Ok. Long just felt like adding it, sometimes it is nice to try and type ones thoughts out and get them ordered a bit. Personally, I don't disagree with either way really. sort of in the middle there. So a non-response-post-note of sort ;)

As for the portal, hmm, maybe look a bit at Kessen Area for inspiration there, not claiming it is a good setup, but seems to work /shrug, though at some demand to art work though, some nominal story writing and somewhat uavoidable when artificially constraining rewards, at a high Whale to Whaler collision rate, but thats indirect PvP for you. PvE would be ProjectR, FKG and Aigis modus events as inspiration.

We don't exactly have a lot of DMM games anymore.

Only 6 are still even DMM games.

If you wanna count the DMM games that were discontinued, then there's 8. This still leaves less than half so there's really not much lack of freedom.

So it's more up to the devs than anything else.

Can the animation for upgrading emblems be sped up? Or even better, be skipped by clicking again?

It's starting to get a bit annoying when upgrading after lvl 10, I don't mind a low chance and many failures, but I mind having to watch that slow animation a hundred times. :p

if you spam click like crazy it skips the animation most of the time

Sometimes works for me. Pretty obvious its a bug not a feature though. Its not so bad now, but I can see it being a problem later on when you have tons of gold to burn.

Looks like Portal is a permanent fixture.
Still up, simply reset and with a weekly timer now
Same setup in terms of rest, rewards, maps, mechanics.

If we are at that, I'd love to skip the animation for farming resources by clicking on the collect all button. Opening the dropdown menu and then waiting for the animation that I got X Oil takes more time than actually clicking on all the oil wells.

A double speed button for battles would also be nice when I'm farming some low tier maps.
