Re: [Nutaku] Osawari Island
I've not played the Japanese version yet, but looked into it and it seems fairly intuitive. I used to play Tessen Arena before the site changed, and that was all in Japanese but with a little help from a blog was easy to understand the underlying mechanics. This game seems easier, especially as there is an accessible English version to compare.
The whole thing with bananas is... exactly that; fucking bananas. Not changing the price bracket is understandable, but the labelling is totally misleading, and to shrug it off with 'buyer discretion is advised' is just an insult. I'm someone who is willing and happy to pay and support; my rationale is that if you enjoy and gain from something, you should give back, even if only a token amount. The fact there is a known problem with the wording of something, that it's misleading to common understanding and expensive, and that such a callous attitude is being taken with it? That is not okay on any level. It's a real turn off, diminishes trust, respect and enjoyment of the product, which is the reason to pay in the first pace? I have already spent money on this game, and things like that make me wonder if that was the wrong choice, if I can expect any kind of help when/if anything goes awry, and puts me off spending any more until I can see a clear resolution. None of these things are complicated or outlandish, just basic things to expect when buying a product.
