Alright, I hate to finally say it but I think I'm quitting this or either taking an extended break until this event phase is over to make my mind up...I've been on the fence about it since the last medal bullshit but now that they brought the system back after the huge outcry it had originally...No Just fuck you Nutaku, I hope you go bankrupt. This is sad because I still enjoy Pero but I can't take this shit anymore.
The sad thing is Pero did a great job remaining unedited but an whoever is running the marketing for Pero needs to be fired, even I could run it better and I have no prior marketing experience to speak of. I'll probably still poke around here maybe just to laugh at how completely inept Nutaku is at this.

Kancolle is pretty much RNG the game too, it's honestly not a lot different then Kanpani. Outside of events you are running expeditions nonstop to stockpile resources to do said events, beyond that you are grinding one map over and over for hours on end to level ships to cap.
events will make you want to kill youself when the 4 months stockpiling you spent getting prepared for it turned out to not be enough and you use all your resources and are unable to finish the harder events.

All she said was that the JP devs told her/them that the format couldn't be changed during the last medal thing, when the devs were made aware of all the negative feedback. And yeah, all of our hopes (including hers) were dashed.

I will prolly still play it. I just won't care about getting cards since more and more is hidden behind retarded walls. Also not caring= not spending money. I do hope whales will start voting with their wallets soon... but since they seem to hate logic so much, instead of: "people are pissed and stopped spending money, maybe we did something wrong let's fix it" it will be case of "people are not interested anymore let's kill it".

That is what I expect, as soon as people get fed up with paying out the ass monthly for cards and stop paying, the devs are going to pull the plug on our Pero. I've seen this happen countless times on mobile games running this exact same scam...I mean set of microtransactions.

I don't know about the rest of you but I wouldn't be able to play this game in Japanese. I actually require being able to read a games text in order to play it.

I'm still on the fence honestly, my will to even play is deteriorating with every action Nutaku makes. I should have known better then to expect them to realize people didn't like the medals but I guess when you have retards willing to shell out 50 to 100 dollars a month for digital cards...why would they stop?

I don't really care who's decision it was honestly, does not change the fact it's terrible.
Nutaku seems very tight lipped when it comes to simply saying "this was the devs choice not ours", all we have to go on is Nordland who is not completely reliable as we see.

Nordland didn't say whether or not there would be more medal stuff in the future. She said that she hoped the devs wouldn't continue the medal stuff. The two are very different.
Given that many of the unpopular changes or additions to their games (including this one, including the medals on this one) have been confirmed as the work of the devs it's probably just easiest to assume that it's usually them.

I'm merely going to note how unbelievably hilarious it is to me that Nutaku's New Year Airu is a medal card, whereas DMM's was dirt-common in the R-gacha.

Logged in today after a couple days' break to see phase 2 and any cool new updates that might have come with it. Got my first SEG spot, with 33m HP, and found out all the new stuff is behind payment (except another exploration area I'll never get to because there isn't enough time to make progress between events).
PeroPero, it wasn't really a good run, I can't say I ever had fun playing you, and I'm not really sad to stop playing, but hey, you reminded me of Taimanin Asagi Battle Arena for a while and that was alright.
Thank god for e-hentai so I can check out all the cards I'll miss out on.

Gotta milk every penny they can from the idiots who think it's a good idea to give them roughly $100 for two rare cards...RARE cards, they ain't even SR. However I'm sure they will add more cards to the medal shop before it goes away.
After having thought about it for the better part of a day, I don't think I'll be quitting partly because I've yet to spend a penny on the game anyways, all I'm losing out on is two shitty rare cards I don't even have the wild cards to level. I might have knee jerked a bit too hard at the medals but I still hold my belief the medal system is fucking garbage and anyone who buys into it is a retard.
This did greatly destroy my desire to ever try hard at any events again though. I'll just put forth the minimal amount of effort I need to from now on to stay top 1000.
