(Nutaku) PeroPero Seduction

Re: (Nutaku) PeroPero Seduction

Did a small bit of inactive cleaning, I'm fairly sure I have everyone here but nonetheless my ID is below. I assume the slots will be clogged with randoms so tease me or something.

It says that you reached your friend limits for me. My ID is 764872

Re: (Nutaku) PeroPero Seduction

Well, hitting 3 pseudo streaks in a row killed my motivation for attempting to summon bosses. I'll just hit everyone else's instead.

I used all my stamina on GHQ, just hitting whatever seg pops up now. Much more efficient!

Re: (Nutaku) PeroPero Seduction

Teach me your secrets, wise one.

Have absolutely nothing you can spend pero on for the past 12 events.

For new players, however, the main thing they need to do is raise their level. Higher level = more friends = more stamina. EG is probably the -worst- event for a new player to start with since it's a stamina consumer (it's not THE main stamina consumer, [that would be Gambit] but it is THE worst one in terms of stamina-to-exp efficiency), and the low exp efficiency means they're spending all their stam on the event and not on raising their level.

Coli usually comes after EG, and that's far more new player friendly. It's entirely focus-based (doesn't use stamina at all) and doesn't rely on your total SED (instead it relies on the SED of specific cards of your choosing).

You are truly wise. I would never have thought of that =P

There is not a lot to use Pero on other than NGatcha tickets and wild cards, eh?

Re: (Nutaku) PeroPero Seduction

nGacha is the main thing you buy with pero. During Gambit, when you buy nGacha you also receive pink keys, which is the main method of getting items during that event.

Once you've got yourself "established" in PPS, nGacha pretty much becomes your primary method of raising SED. In addition to acquiring cards available in the nGacha that you may not already have, it's also used for leveling all of your other cards. When you reach maximum level of a card in nGacha, another card's level is randomly raised instead. This can be done until hitting EX levels. Once you've unlocked EX, if you hit a card's max level, you get a wild card instead.

What is a gambit? Also, pink keys?

Re: (Nutaku) PeroPero Seduction

There are three main event types in rotation in our version of PPS. Elite Guard (current event), Coliseum and Gambit.

In Coliseum you build a deck of 5 cards and have head-to-head matches against other players' decks. Each match costs 2 focus. If you win, you get coliseum tickets (the number of which depends on the difficulty tier of your opponent). Every 5 tickets allow you to spin the coliseum gacha, which rewards items.

Gambit is an exploration type event. You spend stamina to progress through stages. At the end of each stage you're presented with the chance time-like 6 choices. If you pick a "right choice", you advance to the next stage. If you pick a "wrong" one, you have to start that stage over from the beginning. The number of right and wrong choices depends on the stage number, however, if you fail a stage multiple times, the number of right choices increases. There are 100 stages in the first phase and another 100 in the second.
Randomly, you'll encounter bosses through the exploration. These bosses will require either 1, 2 or 3 focus to fight, and are automatically defeated as long as you have enough focus (SED doesn't matter). 1-focus bosses will drop either a pink box or a pink key, 2-focus a silver box or silver key, 3-focus a gold box or gold key. You also get pink keys from buying nGachas during the event, silver keys from buying rGacha (with nutaku gold) and gold keys from eGachas (again, with nutaku gold).
You cannot open any boxes you find yourself, instead, any boxes you find are automatically broadcast to everyone on your friend list. If they have the appropriate color key, they can unlock it and you both get an item from it. Since pink keys can effectively be bought with pero, it's usually a mad scramble to open pink boxes and they rarely last more than a few seconds.

How dare you forget to mention the wonderful shard event that is totally not a worse Coliseum.

Well, we've only had it once and it's really just a bastard version of Coliseum.
The things it does right (slayers not affecting combat, no stupid princesses) are outweighed by the stuff it does wrong (tiers not mattering, no regular item drops).

Re: (Nutaku) PeroPero Seduction

This Gambit one looks a lot more newbie friendly.

In this one, I just feel like a leech. I just find the bosses and call you guys to beat it for me =p

ehhh, not really because it's -extremely- stamina intensive.. in fact, lemmie look back through the thread to find how many people even finished the last event..

with 3 hours left in the event (I went to bed before the event actually closed), only 775 players (PPS's "active" playerbase is about 4000 I'd estimate.. with over 11k that at least have minimal event participation) had cleared all 200 stages. Granted, the last Gambit was unusual in that it's duration was far shorter than normal.

The person first in the standings already has over 300 SEG victories... that's a lot of pudding.

Personally think Coli is the most newbie friendly. Once you have 5 level 100 SR's of the same type you can just go to tier 3 and beat on people there.

Usually when the SEG phase hits, I blow through my pudding stash while doing my best Deathwing from Hearthstone impression ("I.. am power.. INCARNATE!"), but this time, just because I'm somewhat concerned they'll do Shard again after, I'm sitting on them.

Still, even being conservative with my puddings, I'm in 12th and have 70 SEGs.

Re: (Nutaku) PeroPero Seduction

Coli is probably the most noob friendly once you get 5 level 100 same type cards, without that setup it's fairly painful.

Gambit is a bitch plain and simply, it's so demanding. Getting 50,000 points when drops give roughly 5-30 on average with no slayer multipliers is fucking terrible. Now take that and remember the chance times are pretty uncommon outside of the extra floors that you only get AFTER clearing all 100 of the current phases floors.

That aside almost to 100 SEG kills, sitting at 95 right now. Can take the rest of the event easy now and just poke SEGs I happen to see.

Jesus, someone with 5 level 100 SR's is still considered a newbie?
