So. I managed to get a slayer bonus of 10.85 now. If I had more wild cards, I could raise it a little bit. I only have 16k tickets though and only a day left to make rankings. I just started around the 14th or 15th of this month, so I missed almost all of the first half of the rankings. Should I just give up on high ranks in this event and maybe try during the entire event time next time around? Catching up to hundred of thousands sounds like it might be a bit rough. :x

With 10.85 it IS possible to clear it in a day, but the problem is you probably don't have what's necessary to do so.
You'd need probably around 75-100 full peronamin, so it's not really worth it.(You'd need less if you were higher leveled)
You'd need significantly less peronamin if you had radars and glasses, but you probably don't have those either since you just started.
IF you somehow do have glasses though, you would need to use them properly. If you wait until you get a 4-5 step up on certificate chance, you will usually get a card up to 100x or 300x certificates, which would be 1-3k+ with your multiplier.
Assuming you had the worst luck, you'd need at least 35 glasses. So if you had average luck you'd still need at least 18, plus you'd need at least enough stamina to get enough chances to find 4-5 step ups.

Yeah. I've been getting 4-5 step chances and it's been lame. I had a 50 step that had all 6 cards as 50s. And some of my 4 steps have been as low as 10-50 only.
Oddly enough right after those two, I had a 1 step chance that I didn't use glasses on and it had a 300 that I missed. :/

Step ups determine the chances of a 100-300 card in the chance, each step is 20% so a 5 step is 100% chance of having a 100-300 card in the chance. A 5 step having all 6 cards being 50s is impossible.

Seems like shards is the new filler, oh well, more card reveals for me.

Ok... thought I was tripping when I saw shards instead of EG.
We're now starting to feel the effects of people quitting. Nutaku missing that phat paycheck. They can only order 10 drinks instead of 11 when they go out and drink every weekend.
I was actually looking forward to EG this time around. My SR wild card stock is running low because I was lazy last EG.

They must be getting more sales during shards so they're increasing their frequency. Short term profits > long term and they can say the game isn't popular enough anymore if it fails and remove it like they did for LoV.

I only play PPS and Dragon Providence (yes, ashamed to admit the crossover was effective on me.. but they actually did a good job on that one.. the rewards from PPS were good enough to give a new player a decent enough jump start in DP.. that's the right way to do crossovers.. unlike the OI one).
I'm kinda skeptical the (apparent) increase in Shard frequency is financially motivated. I could be wrong, but I don't see how spending would be increased during Shard vs other events. Only thing I can think of is people buying puddings when they otherwise wouldn't.

I don't strive to get top 10, I don't pay for slayers so there is no point.
Last gambit I hardly even tried the whole event and spent like an hour the last day hitting 51k
Shard events last 1/2 the time of a normal event, you buy slayers for the shard event and after 5 days they are useless and you need to buy more for the new event.
