in preparation for my H platformer and i found this pretty fun, just spent a couple of hours making this after doodling some animations instead of spriting
edit- added shooting, droid deployment (A key), limited jumping, couldnt figure out how to add a charging blaster so will probably go the castlevania route and have different sub weapons
(easy enough to create, use a menu, change a specific event and that's what gets called when you use that key)
also fixed the sprite so now awkward white bits
oooh this is fun...must not overspam the particle effects they're fun
well now i know i can draw animation fairly well i may aswell make a H game from this yays...
still working out how to make rooms put you in the right place,
also for now you can get extra jumps off the drones (final game will only let you have a specific number of them though)
basic plot *that wont be mentioned in game to keep text to a minimum* - customised military grade gynoid is sent to deal with a perverse crime syndicate that want to subjugate women, but it turns out they themselves are part of a government brainwashing scheme, they've been experimenting on and with demons to create alternate brainwashing techniques...
features enemies such as perverts, slimes, hopefully a faun/pan, mass produced sex droid versions of the main character (object 0) with futa addition
some animations will stack up depending on the number of enemies
When designing i was considering what made kurovadis a good game because I want to live off my game making, solid gameplay is a given but the lack of text and exposition in his game made it very approachable to persons of any language, in my game there will be at least 3 environments, the streets where the perverts hunt, the factory that produces the sex droids and the secret facility below the city.
for weapon customisation I am considering an upgrade tree, but might just let the player choose between two upgrades at each machine when they have the currency to purchase them, the current gun functions on a hold the button system but there can only be a limited number on the screen at a time, you can purchase range which would extend the lifespan of each bullet, but you can also increase the total number of bullets on screen at a time (i'll cap it at roughly 10 because depending on whether you hit your target, even total 4 can use a constant stream as bullets destruct on collision.
other basic upgrades are upgrades to HP, Atk power and resistance
the justification for object 0's corruption is due to her dual nature as a droid originally built for sex, when experiencing pleasure she might accidentally reboot to factory settings, this is also why she can only struggle during sex, because her weapon modules shut down either due to the risk of hurting herself or because shs's flickering back and forth between her military persona and her sex droid settings
