Eight feet. Damn. There's more cock to these things than goblin.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

... fuck, did I say feet?

I did, fixed.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

But how will they win the polevault competition now?

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

I have to admit, I laughed myself into a near hernia at Sioban pointing that out.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Those of us who used Mythweavers for char sheets will have to rebuild them. Mythweavers suffered a catastrophic data failure and lost all sheets made after May 2016.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Took care of it already. I still had moy original sheet on a tab so I just copy and pasted everything to a fresh sheet. Took like 5 minutes

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Fffffuuuuuuuuuck. Now I'll have to recall everything I had and redo the math again... You've got to be fucking kidding.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

16 cha, 14 and 12 in str/con in some order, nothing below 10. Fire bolt, friends, shocking grasp (so probably 14 str), a damaging ranged spell at L1 (not witch bolt or burning hands), not prestidigitation, not charm person. Proficiencies in Arcana, one of Deception/Persuasion, not Intimidation or Investigation.

That's all I remember from trying to avoid overlap on the arcane casters.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Why would shocking grasp roll off of STR? I'm pretty sure all spell attacks go with your casting stat in 5e.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

The touch attack roll too? I thought that was still same as unarmed. Maybe it was 14 con, then.

Whoops. You're right. Cha+Prof to target a touch spell. 5e is wild.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

I don't know about that, it looks overpowered at first glance, but then you realize that touch AC isn't a thing anymore.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Wooow.

Uh... Good luck everyone.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

I think I'm rebuilt. Pain in the ass trying to recreate the text blocks, but it's close enough.

Pretty much this. In Pathfinder and whatnot, you roll spell attacks using STR or DEX because they're touch attacks which bypass several AC bonuses, like armor bonus, so you've got a good chance of hitting even with a low stat. In 5e, touch attacks don't really exist so you're pretty much always rolling against full enemy AC. And given that it's much harder to push your stats to absurd heights in 5e as well, spell attacks are rolled off of casting stats to prevent them from being gimped due to low accuracy.

Edit: Sheet mostly rebuilt, at least all the info necessary to run the char is there. Couldn't remember how her personality was written so I may have had to come up with new stuff to fit. Mechanically she's the same, I think. I may have had missed a couple things last time that I ended up addressing now, like extra language from background. Not sure if I factored in proficiency bonus for my weapons either. Will be adding missing details.

What is the preferred roller, btw?

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

I would personally say these guys. I use em all the time.
