(OOC) DND Unchained Chat

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Yes. I suppose I can fix it then.

33 more copper for everyone, 15 more silver and 8 more gold.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

I'm pretty sure Siob is also not coming back. The one who had the drow? He did the one reply passing out from the smut and then vanished from the forum forever. I literally think the gold should go to those who participated, who are Zil, Ranger, Aust, Kaguya, and Cross. With any of the above maybe sharing some with the new arrival just to make them feel welcome.

I don't think inactive PC's should get rewards, and see those rewards wasted when they never return or even acknowledge that they got it, cuz then it'll become a matter of finding the post where they got these rewards and going back to find it, or forgetting it ever happened to begin with.

In short, they're already getting levels, let's not throw away gold. If anything, share your stash if/when they come back, if you do want to share. But don't let the rewards fall into the ether and vanish forever.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Fair enough, though as mentioned 5e has the shiny yellow rock problem where there's not much to do with gold. I'm just keeping it for arrows and inevitable bribes/pickpockets.

I guess I'll split to 5 then.

460 copper, 220 silver, 116 gold.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

That's from the most recent reward, or both times?

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

I say we start using it to build houses and towns and an army or something :p

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Yes, you can use it to build things, and in addition I found a way for you to spend it on Magical Goods. I can make shops that can have various magical items in them, and randomize the prices. So that will give you some pricey things to waste your dosh on.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Hm, think only anything any of us individually can afford is the scroll. Can pool resources I guess for other stuff.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

I wasn't sure what to do with prices. The book for the DM shows me a price range for rarities and says make shit up. So I'm honestly just rolling random gold prices and saying it's the seller's opinion.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Thats fine. You;re not normally supposed to be able to buy magic items. It actually says in one part that to get a potion you should have to go on a quest, and for the rest good luck.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Yeah, but I dislike having no use for gold beyond buying land and shit, and pots. You're obviously supposed to go into the bushes and talk to Wart to see if he's got something sexy for you.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Me too honestly. I call it Shiny Yellow Rock syndrome because without something to have it be worth, it is, well, worthless. Either way, Laya;s giving her gold to Kat so Kat can get the boots. Heroes need to have ffine stuff after all, so she doesn;t mind.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Are we still in the town. or did we leave through the portal thing?

Also, did I see the Sage?

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

RJ, word of advice? Sometimes it may be difficult for people to find the time to make IC posts. Right now I barely have the time to type this, for example. So please take it easy with rushing us?

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

It's not rushing so much as providing more for players that might be around but find nothing to reply to. I kind of realized that just the shopkeeper scene had Kat and Lyra involved, and no one else. So, I brought in the mayor to provide more input. Plus, time passing right now doesn't mean much. You guys still have a lot of time.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

I honestly don't think we're going fast enough. No one has really acknowledged Ellana, and she's not going to really do anything until, well, something happens.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Yeah, about that. With RJ, he kind of expects the players to push things along. So if you want your char to be acknowledged, have her seek that acknowledgement.

In other words, if you want something to happen then do something.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

I was referring to everyone in general. No one has went "Oh, who's the new guy? Or, so Ellana what brings you here?"

I mean, i'm not complaining. Ellana just doesn't have anything to say, is all.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Except we did ask? Hell, her name was one of the first things Talia asked about.

Re: (OOC) DnD: Unchained Out of Character Chat

Most of these players have a tendency to accept a lot of things that happen around them. The new person in the group is just something they immediately accepted. Plus it doesn't help that many personalities here are very passive, often only reacting when approached by things.

So, pretty much what Grave said.
