Re: (Open) Dungeons and Depravity: Revenge of the Unchained

The goblins listened to Yuki. (Insight). And then they threw a fit. "What!? That's awful!" the goblin said, while Gribbles still hung in the bushes. "Then there's only one thing to do... Da boss is scary, so when we raid the town, and we about to split the spoils... We attack, and kill the kobolds after dey weak from fightin!" the goblin cheered, and the others followed suit. "Yeah! L-lets not say anything now though... D-direct confrontations that aren't obviously in our favor are scary."

"Y-yeah, if I had to fight a fight that wasn't in my favor, w-why I'd probably just stay in these woods and never do anything!" another goblin followed up.

"That'll only work if the goblins won't be weak from fighting too." Talia pointed out, shaking her head. "Or if the boss doesn't decide to side with the kobolds against goblins. Aren't you afraid you might end up being seen as having outlived your usefulness?" She shrugged. "You know, if you fucked over the kobolds now, you'd have an easier time to prove your superiority to them later. The boss is scary, but kobolds aren't that scary, right? All you'd need to do is weaken them now so you'll look better in comparison. Like, I don't know... By getting other goblins and stabbing the kobolds in the back when they're not looking? Or adding nasty stuff to their food? I'm sure this forest has some poisonous mushrooms or herbs in it."

"R-right! We can do that! Trickery! Bad stuff! W-we need to go tell the other gobbins to put stuff in the stupid lizards food so that they defecate all night!" the goblin began bouncing on his feet, stomping the ground as it's mind was filled with evil thoughts. "Search out! Find da poison! Da poison!" the goblins all began to look about, trying to find 'da poison'. Though given their track record and immediate methods of searching, like looking under rocks, it'd probably take them a while.

Re: (Open) Dungeons and Depravity: Revenge of the Unchained

Okay, well the goblins were thoroughly distracted she guessed, though Kat really really really just wanted to kill them all. Make them all pop like that first one and purge the evil from this land!

The only thing that kept her from doing so at the moment was that the rest of the party seemed to be trying to be friendly to the goblins. Indeed Kat would pull Talia, Laya Weiss and Kiera into a bit of a huddle and whisper. "Why are we entertaining these creatures any further. We should just remove them as a threat and move on to the camp to destroy this leader and disrupt the attack to save the family."

Gribbles, somehow caught in the huddle, hung upside down between Kat's and Weiss' breasts. "Cuz it'd be easier if the lizards and gobbs were fightin?" he inquired, his loin cloth falling down to obey gravity, thusly revealing a flopping seven incher and a pair of eggs in the sack.

To say Kat wasn't happy at somehow Gribbles ending up in the huddle would be a massive understatement. As it was the girl didn't care about the member the goblin had, except that it looked like she was about to either crush the poor goblin's manhood with a grip of iron, or cut it off. In the end she just pulled back and flipped the goblin back upright so that he was covered up, though her eyes held something that promised murder to the goblin for flashing them. "Yet at the rate they go it looks like they will find something to use by this time tommorow. So how bout I give you an option, either you motivate your little companions to work harder, or my sword ends up in your neck."

The barbarian dogbold was glaring right at the goblin, her fangs barred. If she succeeded in intimidating the goblin she'd let him out of the vines for the moment and made sure to keep him in her vision, the girl making a quick check of the clearing herself to see if there was anything she could find herself that the goblins could use.

Laya had kept her mouth shut and instead took notes, eager to see how the heroes would hero in this story. Looked like everyone but Kat was on the same wavelength. Which didn't seem to be that surprising because Kat might be a cousin of the kobold races. Or not. Maybe she was thinking of something else.

Either way Gribble seemed to be stuck in with em now.

"If anyones a better forager, why don't they just grab a poison and give it to them? Hemlock perhaps? Or poison ivy maybe?," offered Laya quietly, "Or not. I'm just happy to see what sort of heroes will be in our new story."

Re: (Open) Dungeons and Depravity: Revenge of the Unchained

Talia sighed, shaking her head. Kat's sentiments, while understandable, were not helpful to their cause at all. "Because when fighting enemies with numerical advantage, the first thing you want to do is neutralize that advantage. If we can get the goblins and kobolds to go for each other's throats, we can potentially cripple their operation or at least delay it until they sort the clusterfuck out." The sorceress explained. "So unless you plan on killing every single monster out there with your own hands, a rather foolhardy notion all things considered, sometimes you've got to pull a trick or two. Plus, this is kinda fun." She chuckled.

"Though I admit, their lack of progress is not encouraging." She sighed, glancing back at the foraging goblins. "Alright, I say everybody start looking for something, and I do mean everybody. Don't give me the observer shit Laya, you are as much of a part of this as all of us, storyteller or no. And as I recall, some books have the main character narrating, so there's precedent. If at least one of us succeeds and finds something nasty or poisonous, we can give it to them and tell them to use that. Berries, herbs, mushrooms, I don't care. As long as it works." And with that, the tiefling joined the search. While she was more of an alchemist than herbalist, she didn't exactly have any ingredients to work with at the moment. She'd have to try and hope her limited knowledge allowed her to scrounge something up.

Re: (Open) Dungeons and Depravity: Revenge of the Unchained

Weiss curiously started to poke the floppy thing between Gribbles legs, wonder what such an appendage is for. ''T-The goblin g-gets it, we just want to make sure things work out for us i-in the end.'' Weiss explained, as she was a little upset when Kat took away Gribbles from her, as she wanted to poke the floppy thing more.

''C-Can’t you see that they are working as hard as they possibly can? I-If we just keep on scaring them, t-they will b-betray us as soon as something scarier comes along.'' Weiss said, smothering Gribbles between her breasts. ''H-He already helped a lot, a-and you will continue helping us, right Gribbles?'' Weiss inquired, as Weiss didn’t understand why everyone was so mean to them, even if they’re goblins she was sure they could be taught to do the right thing, and Gribbles did everything they asked.

[Insight to see how loyal Gribbles is to them: ]

Weiss couldn’t agree more with Talia they couldn’t leave everything to the goblins, they might not even gather the right stuff. Weiss gather all the goblins around her, and was planning to make the search for something poison a bit more organized. ''W-We are going to do this a little bit different okay?'' Weiss inquired. ''I-Instead of just frantically searching everywhere, each of you will take a different place, and search it carefully. I-If you think you found something, s-show it to one of us, a-and we will tell you if you got the right thing. C-Can you do that for me?'' Weiss asked the goblins, hoping this would speed things along. If they understood her, she went to comb her own section of the forest. Whenever the goblins gathered something useful, Weiss would give them a big hug, smothering them between her breasts before telling them to put what they found in a pile.

Re: (Open) Dungeons and Depravity: Revenge of the Unchained

Talia looks around for something poisonous. While searching through some dense vegetation, she finds something. Only, there was a goblin looking there too so what she acquired was a handful of his genitals. The goblin looked down at her with shock. "... H-horray! You found me!" the random goblin declared, getting hard in her face.

Weiss tries to see how loyal Gribbles is. Assessing him, he looks like a goblin that is rather self centered, as many are. The welfare of his fellows and even his leader seems to be of little concern to him. Though, the same should be said about the girls, and yet he seems to have a vested interest in helping them. While Weiss looked at him, she actually got a grin out of Gribbles. He seemed to like her. "Y-yes! Music lady said a nice thing for help, s-so I would like a nice thing..." Weiss felt Gribbles staring at her chest as he said that.

Weiss found that Gribbles would come with her to search, albeit he still looked in areas she wasn't. While she found nothing... Weiss would turn and find Gribbles coming towards her, a large sack in his hands. In no time at all he found a giant sack of unknown vegetation. "Gutrot! Lots of it! I found it and more! Look! Look!" he flashed it, and it looked horrible, smelled horrible too. "I did it!" Gribbles cheered.

(Gribbles nat 20 on survival, instantly finds all the poison needed)

All the goblins gather and celebrate Gribbles, each taking some of their own poison and heading to the camp, having everything they need to make the kobolds sick. Meanwhile, Gribbles stands before the girls, bouncing on his feet. "R-reward! Reward! I helped! Gribbles helped so much! Gribbles isn't a worthless servant, yes? G-Gribbles helped you a lot! So much!" he cheered and insisted, he looked full of mirth, as if expecting to be showered with praise.

Re: (Open) Dungeons and Depravity: Revenge of the Unchained

Talia grimaced as she searched the area, her labors futile so far. It wasn't until she inspected a particular spot of foliage that she saw something standing out, some kind of strange mushroom she supposed. Only to realize, much to her growing mortification and horror, that it was not a mushroom. Rather, it was a goblin that had been searching the same spot. She took a deep breath, trying not to explode and electrocute his junk in response, as tempting as that option was. They needed those morons to sabotage the kobolds. Yes.

Fortunately, the sorceress was saved by Gribbles, as unlikely as it was. His joyful cries as he rapidly found that... Whatever the Hell it was quickly drew her attention. It stank to high heaven and likely tasted like shit, which meant it was probably perfect for the job. As long as the kobolds didn't notice too soon... Or went after the goblins after noticing. Either result was good enough. "Oh look, your friend found something. Go grab some of that stuff and get ready to move. There's much to be done first." The tiefling said quickly, pulling her hand back and resolving to wash it as soon as feasible. "Good job Gribbles, you did well."

Re: (Open) Dungeons and Depravity: Revenge of the Unchained

Weiss still wasn’t sure if Gribbles was completely loyal to them, but at least it looked like he like her. ''D-Don’t worry Gribbles, i-if you keep working hard I will give you a reward.'' Weiss said, completely oblivious to him staring at her chest.

Weiss had trouble finding anything that could poison the kobolds, but luckily she didn’t have to search for long, because Gribbles came running to her with a sack filled of stuff. The stench was absolutely horrible, and it didn’t look any better. Hopefully this stuff would be good enough, she was a little worried that the smell might give it away, but kobolds weren’t much smarter than goblins. ''Good job Gribbles, t-that looks more than enough.'' Weiss praised him, patting his head. ''S-See, if you treat them kindly, t-they will work a lot harder.'' Weiss stated to Kat, while holding Gribbles proudly between her breasts.

''O-okay, okay. What does Gribbles want as a reward?'' Weiss inquired. While Gribbles was thinking about what kind of reward he wanted, Weiss thought about what to do next. ''W-We should send a g-goblin ahead with the gutrot, and make him poison the kobolds food.'' Weiss suggested, and if everyone agreed, she’d send a goblin off with the gutrot. ''W-While h-he’s off poisoning the kobold food, w-we should have Gribbles escort us close to the camp. I want to scout it out, and make a proper plan t-to attack it.'' If everyone agreed with Weiss once again, she puts Gribbles back onto the ground, and looks him straight into eye to make sure he’s paying attention to her. ''Y-You can do that, r-right Gribbles, e-escort us to the camp? O-Oh, and this time make sure to avoid any ambushes along the way, a-and not bring us straight into the camp.'' Weiss asked Gribbles.

Re: (Open) Dungeons and Depravity: Revenge of the Unchained

Laya opens her mouth to answer when she was suddenly, in her mind, accused of not pulling her weight , but says nothing as in a few moments Gribble comes back with a bag. She simply gestures with her hands, then scribbles down some notes with a huff.

"Hmph, see? I did my job and will keep doing my job. Unless you're making me the main character I think I'm happy with our relationship. I think I'm doing fine.," she grumbles.

She strummed a few notes as she tuck her note book away. Then she took it out and scribbled furiously at Weiss' comments, her pausing then looking bemused.

"Remind me again, who's symbol is around your neck? I need it for the story."

"Now is not the time for that, and we can give the goblin its 'reward' after we have ensured the town will be safe." Kat growled out as she seemed quite antsy. "Can we go take out that camp now? My sword is growing dull waiting."

Re: (Open) Dungeons and Depravity: Revenge of the Unchained

Gribbles nodded. "R-right, not straight there, sneaky route... Sneaky route... Er... O-oh!" he grabbed Weiss hand and started jumping on his feet, bouncing and pointing in a certain directions. "Kobolds! Found a river, sneaky! Built a tunnel underground to get water without human hunters finding them! Sneaky, no one there but stupid lizard chumps! E-even da pretty in big armor, no problem being sneaky!" he announced. "N-no on there, means, no one hear you! See? See!?" he cheered, looking incredibly overjoyed at how everyone seemed to be relying on him.

"This way! This way! We go there, then kill the lot of em! Gribbles help! I can smash em! Kobold scalies are weak, stupid! Arrogant!" Gribbles spat as he started to lead the way. "Gribbles will sneak up on em! Gut them! Then you come in! Yes, yes!" he cheered.

The searching for poison and conversation seemed to take some time.

Time: 4:30

Gribble's secret route wasn't that far away. If the girls followed, Gribbles would set himself up to try and break a kobold's skull with his slung from the shadows.

Kat would grin as Gribbles started to lead them to the camp itself, the dogbold once again taking the lead of the group as they followed, though she kept her eyes out as they went incase anything tried to ambush them.

Once they got in sight of the kobolds, Kat would wait for Gribbles to start it off with his sling, or if he seemed to be waiting on them, would move to ambus the first group of Kobolds they came across.

Kat saw some activity down the river, looked like kobolds bathing and gathering water and delivering it into a larger tub on wheels, a unique kind of wagon they no doubt built for delivering large samples of water at a time. The kobolds were too far to notice them, and Gribbles was soon to strike once the girls got near.

Gribbles stealth check success
Gribbles hits a Kobold for 14 damage, killing it.
"Filthy goblin traitor!" a kobold shouted as Gribbles killed one. The girls would soon assess that Gribbles was taking cover in a tree he climbed, while the remaining kobolds mobilized.

Roll stealth, there are 11 Kobolds, 1 of which died to Gribbles.

Re: (Open) Dungeons and Depravity: Revenge of the Unchained

Talia sighed, shaking her head as Laya immediately went back into storyteller mode, grimacing slightly. "And I'm wondering if you're obsessed or no." She muttered, following Gribbles. An underground tunnel to deliver water to the camp? Clever of the damn lizards. Of course, this meant the whole camp could be hidden in a cave or something. They'd need to be careful. Of course, first they had to get there, which required going through said tunnel in the first place. They were likely to encounter enemies on the way.

Sure enough, the goblin soon climbed up a tree to start pelting the kobolds - probably the kobolds, judging by the shout - using a sling. Quite effectively at that. Deciding to follow his example, the sorceress hid in the shadows among the trees, waiting for a good moment to strike. The enemies seemed quite numerous, but as long as the party maintained their advantages, they'd win this.
