Nah... as Half Life 3 will never come out (seriously who still thinks there ever will be a third?), we can assume it will come out "when its done" So Duke Nukem Forever-like, when it out it will be disappointing

They apologized for delaying then delaying again then delaying again and not to worry because they are working on it very hard. They can't promise to release in April but they HOPE to....I know what you're up to Delay-Chan.

But the issue is they're not even close to finishing. In June 2014 they posted new animations to the blog, even though they were supposed to have been finished.
I don't know why they make an early release date just to push it back a few months again. Just wait, in April you will still see the dev drawing CG and animations and then apologizing.

Eh. As disappointing as it would be to see this never come out with the good artwork, I can't say I care that much. Never even got a try a demo of it, so who knows if it's even any fun to play.

We shall wait and see if it's delayed to 2017 this time

Iirc, both the artist and general public didn't like the fact that the original CG didn't match the sprite, so the dev just redid it at some point.
I'm pretty sure there was a blog post about it, but this was also probably a year ago, so memories are understandably are fuzzy.

Well that's kinda weird. The old art style did differ quite a bit but it was nice, in my eyes. Well the new is good too so no complaints here.

That's like the worst tease ever. A god damn eight second video of a jerky walking animation with mismatched resolutions between the sprite and the background? That's it? After so many delays?

Two years of work

The idle and walk sprite need more frames and she walk fucking slow.
I don't want to guess but from my experience. Most of bad act game have slow walk MC.
But at least after see the game's view/camera and background.
It's should be straight forward game and maybe no platform

But I'm like the background. Maybe he's spend one and a half year for background

I'm guessing it's just a trick to not let players blast through levels in a few seconds, but this meme of molasses-slow walking character is awful and painful to see.

I'm having a really hard time understanding why any creator can stand to playtest their own game, go through that slow walk, and think "this is fine".

Urgh.

correct me if i'm wrong, but his previous games were all like this, no?
