I recently downloaded a 3-d movie called "Love you now", found on this thread

http://www.ulmf.org/bbs/showthread.php?p=131368&highlight=umemaro#post131368

But, now that I have it, I can't seem to open it. I've extracted all the parts, and I don't know what I'm missing. If this has come up in the past, please forgive this topic. If there is an alternate download location, I would greatly appreaciate it. Thank you. :)

Re: Problem with a download

You might not have a compatible video player.

Re: Problem with a download

Thanks. I guess I'll look else where for it. Thanks again.

Re: Problem with a download

What's the file type?

Re: Problem with a download

All it's telling me is that it's an Application. Any ideas, or should I start looking for it else where?

"File type" means the letters in the name after dot. .avi or .wmv, for example.

Re: Problem with a download

Right click the file, click "properties," and it should be "type of file" under the "general" tab.

Re: Problem with a download

Alright, this is copy and pasted right from the property bar:

Application (.exe)

So, what do I need to do to get it to work?

Re: Problem with a download

That's not a movie, it's an executable file. If it's legit, it's probably some sort of program that opens up and lets you click through scenes. In that case you may need to change to Japanese language settings to get it to work. Can you give us the exact error message? That might help.

Here's the message:

???????????????????
??????(syntax error, unexpected T_SYMBOL, expecting ")")

Any idea what this means?

Re: Problem with a download

That means you need to set your computer to run non-unicode programs in Japanese language. Accessible by

Control Panel > Regional settings > Region and Language > Administrative tab > Change system locale > Japanese

Thank you all for your help. I guess I'll be closing this now. Thanks again.:)
