I didn't play the first one, but if this game is an improvement, the first must have been terrible. I assume the only improvement would've been the art, as the gameplay is boring, repetitive and very simple.
It may say it's in english, but if you don't use the character's skills, it wouldn't matter if it was english or not. There's no explanation on how to play, there's no main menu, and the shop is useless, essentially rendering the game's money system as useless. The only real praise I can give it is that you can very easily revert spent stat points, no matter when you last spent them, making respecs easy, but even then, the only stats you really need are the sword (attack damage) and the boot (hit chance, and maybe dodge chance). Yeah, no explanation on what the stat symbols mean, either, it took me a while to figure out what the boot symbol is, and if you have 100 boot stat, that essentially translates to 100% hit chance, making the archer's most appealing skill useless.
The worst things about this though? Three things:
1). There's a purple crystal that seemingly does nothing.
2). The music when you're not in a dungeon is so god damn annoying. It's essentially a 10 second piece that doesn't loop well at all.
3). There are some animated sex scenes, but the animation is... not quite bad, but definately not good either. Lazy? Either way, it's lazy enough to be bad.
