Sarah tries to whip the demon again, getting countered even as Al lands another telling blow. The demon still focuses his attacks on Sarah, focusing on who it really wants as it's prey.

Sarah gasps as the demon turns her momentum against her. Her exhaustion was really catching up with her all of the sudden, as two consecutive blows land on her. Much more and she knows she'll be out of the fight. And still in the demon's clutches. What then? Al might save her. Maybe. Or maybe it will hand her off to another demon while this one stalls him. Or maybe he'll decide to wait it out, since it doesn't want him. Or maybe it's not as hurt as it looks, and it will beat him.

She swings at the beast again, knowing that if she misses the fight will probably be out of her hands.

Sarah manages to hit he demon again, as does Al, dealing hefty damage as the demon looks almost finished, sending a lash at Sarah, entangling her even as she falls from fatigue.

Sarah felt the last of her strength drain as yet another attack connected. She felt her axe slip from her grip as she collapsed to the floor, still held by the ropes. The thing looked almost ready to fall apart, but it wouldn't need much strength to rape her now. This was it, now all she could do was wait. Well, almost.

"H... help."

Sarah doesn't have to wait too long for Al to free her, his next kick landing square on the demon, bursting it apart as the rope shards fell to the ground. He took a moment to catch his breath before untangling Sarah from the ropes, the demon not having much time to properly tie her up.

Sarah took a moment to catch her breath after he untied her, grateful that he was able to finish the thing off before it could even properly tie her up. Finally, she felt able to walk again, her strength returning.

"Thanks. Again. Now... which way were we going?"

"Yeah, no problem." Al says, looking around, taking a look at the dungeon and trying to find his way, before point in a seemingly random direction.

"That way I think, quickest way out...but..." he points in another direction. "I'm pretty sure it'll be easier if we go that way, it'll take longer, but I think there's less encounter that way."

"Well... easier is good, but longer also means more chance that the path changes before we reach the end, yes? And we haven't lost to anything yet, so I think my vote is for the quick way at this point."

"Yeah, good point. Let's go then. I think we may have attracted some unwanted attention, winning that battle."

Al doesn't bother to explain, just heading off down the path, knowing Sarah will probably follow.

Sarah looks at the man curiously, but when he doesn't expand further she doesn't push the point. She follows him down the hallway, axe over one shoulder as she walks.

The pair of adventurers move down the hallway, suddenly stopped when the dungeon starts to rumble and shake. Al looks surprised and worried, quickly turning around and running towards her, just as a wall raises up under Sarah, sending her stumbling backwards as she's cut off from Al.

It gets ever worse as she finds herself stumbling over the edge of a tentacle pit, she just manages to get her balance and stop herself from falling in, but she can see the tentacles raising themselves up towards her.

Sarah scrambles back against the wall that blocks her off from Al, and tries not to make any noise. She remembers peering into a pit like this when two other girls had fallen in, and isn't looking forward to it. She raises her axe, and waits for the tentacles to get close enough to hit.

Sarah waits for the tentacles to advance, and they do. She manages to miss her attack against the things as they weave around, but finds herself in a good position for a back stroke, hacking on the tentacles as she follows through with her missed attack, stopping the tentacles just before they got to her.

Sarah hacks into one tentacle, but there are just so many of them that it seems impossible she'll hit them all. Of course, they might retreat if she just hurts a few, so she keeps the same plan of attack. Wait for the tentacles to come to her, then hit them before they grab her.

Sarah manages to hack another couple of tentacles, fending off another assualt as she tried to maneuver around the field. Of course, she suddenly found the wall behind her moving steadily forward, pushing her closer to the pit, which looked far to wide to jump and spanned the entire hallway...

Sarah, having so far avoided being hit, and having now destroyed two consecutive tentacles, was starting to actually feel good about the fight. Then the wall started moving.

"Hey! No fair!"

She moved to the side wall, and took up her defensive stance again, hoping that... what? That the wall would stop moving before it pushed her in? It didn't matter, she wasn't going to give up.

Sarah manages to hold the tentacles off again this time, but she didn't manage to make any progress on hurting them either, as they evaded her strikes just enough to miss, still unable to get a hold on her. The wall moved a little bit closer.

Sarah managed to fend off the tentacles yet again, but now her eye was drawn to the wall again. Somehow she didn't think it would stop and leave her enough room to stand. And even if it did, she still couldn't stay forever. But that was in the future, and if she kept letting herself get distracted the tentacles would take her before she had to worry about the wall. She readied herself for the next attack.

Sarah manages to strike the tentacles again, doing damage to them, but finders her limited movement rage working against her as the tentacles manage to hit her, entangling around her legs and starting to pull her closer to the pit.

Sarah lets her guard down for just a moment, and the tentacles grab her. And rather then trying to hurt her, strip her, or arouse her, they start pulling her towards the pit. Suddenly the wall is the least of her concerns, and she hacks frantically towards the tentacle that's holding her.
