As I've only seen the movie, I'll have to just comment on what I think is the best from that.

Dude, Silth, in the graphic novel he determined Scott was looking for Ramona after scott, and I quote:
Scott: Hey, do you know a girl who looks like this? *Puts his fingers next to his head to look like Ramona's hair*
Anyway, I gotta go with Scott as favorite male. He's kind of that lovable idiot you want to punch, but still hang out with anyway.
Kim is definitely my favorite female, and not just because she's a bangin' ginger.

Her unapproachable attitude (Which makes you WANT to approach) drew me in.

I agree, though Kim is my favorite, Ramona is where it's at. She just plain hot. Hands down.

From the comics I'd have to say I liked Kim's character the most, I liked the way her character arc/sub-plot fit into the series as a whole. Also freckles.
I also found Knives' friend to be a pretty effective contrast to Knives' antics.
Having I just saw the movie over the weekend I have to say that Stacy Pilgrim was pretty awesome in it, if only for those scenes where she was alongside Wallace (who is my favourite character from the film). Come to think of it, I didn't really like any of the other female roles very much overall.

You mean... uh... Tamara! Knives' friend.
I found the movie to be amazing. My main complaint is that Michael Cera was NOT a good Scott. He was too whiny and he looked nothing like Scott. Oh, and he acted gay. Almost as gay as Wallace.
