Walking towards the salvaged coin, Granth mentions one of the few facts he managed to pull out of his racial memories: The one thing I can tell you right now about vampires is that they need to be pretty close to their coffins when they're out hunting. It probably has something to due with the magic that animates them, but it means that this guy should have his coffin somewhere within a few miles of here.

Carella splits the gold then heads back to the campsite, finding an opening area and simply laying down, starting to snore immediately.

Malacet takes her share as well, before returning to the campsite and wrapping herself in her blanket again. She falls asleep as quickly as before.

The group returns to camp, minus Bolm who remains to sanctify the area and Aramil who offers to guard him. Trex and Holi take up the nights watch. Bolm and Aramil return later that night, and lie down to rest. The rest of the night is uneventful. Trex awakens the group shortly after dawn to continue the march. The camp is quietly packed up after Bolm and Trex pray briefly to Lathander, and the group returns to the dirt path and continues on. The morning is cool, but not uncomfortable. The day is sunny, but dark clouds are visible to the North.

(Spells were regained, despite the brief interruption. Putting this up in case anyone wants to do anything. I'm pretty sure your acid flasks are done. Will put in next part of journey if not one posts by tomorrow.)

Carella nods and sets aside her first acid potion and immediately begins work on the second...

Getting up, Granth packs away his gear and retrieves the morning share of rations. So, what's the plan for today? Go to the town, check the orc map, or look around for the vampire's coffin?

Aramil examines the map, and points to a place just short of where another line intersects the line that seems to be the road. "If we want to find the creatures stash, this seems to be the best place to part from the path. It seems to be near the creatures lair, and it's possible that the orcs and ogres were working in concert, so perhaps that's where the monster left its coffin."

Holi gets up and does his morning prayers to Haela Brightaxe and the Morndinsamman. After finishing he jopins the others and prepares for the journey onward. "If the coffin be on the way, we may as well check it out. Though I must admit to not wantin' to find it occupied." Then with a grin, "Too much that is."

"Unless it's occupied with a shiny new axe, eh?" Tod asks Holi with a laugh, continuing his brew. "I'm up for any direction really, as long as we get our main task accomplished."

You begin that days journey, and it's only about two hours before you reach the flimsy wooden bridge crossing a shallow river. Aramil points out a set of boot tracks that lead off into the brush, indicating that this is where they should turn if they wish to find the spot on the map. The tracks are large and deep, but old, indicating that whatever passed was heavy, or carrying something heavy, and passed through several days ago.

"Well you're a better tracker than any of us more'n likely. So lead the way Aramil." Holi says pointing at the tracks, "But I suggest everyone keeping an eye out for anything dangerous or otherwise he says while picking his tetthe with a spike from his gauntlet.

Picking a way along the tracks leading to the North East, Aramil leads with Bolm a short distance behind. Trex walks at the rear of the group. After a short, dirty trek through the woods you come across a cliff face. Aramil leads you along it to the South until you reach the mouth of a large cave system. He points to the West; "The place where the orcs buried their stash should be somewhere in that direction."

I wonder why they didn't just hide it in there. Maybe we should check here and clean it out later after we inspect the stash. Granth suggests, after all, more targets means more excuse to have super happy lightning time.
