Script error message when starting game (DL inside)

When I try to start this game:

You must be registered to see the links

I get an error saying: "Script 'Σ Fullscreen' line 93; NoMethodError occured.
Undefined method 'size' for nil:NilClass"

Anyone got an idea what this is and how to fix it? I've tried all compatability modes and locale changes, but it looks like a RPGmaker problem. Now the game works if I run it in 640 x 480 resolution restricted mode, but it is visually buggy and does not fit the screen. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Probably not a problem with the game itself - it would have been patched since the release date.

A rare cause of this kind of error is when you skip event too much the software try to load multiple sprite / sound... at the same time. Try again in auto / slow mode if you where in skip mode.

Else it may be cause by problem of language 1) if you unrar and play the game on a non japanese setting computer
2) Long path folder name and / or Kanji (or non local character) in the game folder name.

for 1) try setting your unicode to Japanese, re download the game and extract it (or try changing the Language code in winrar to japanese before extracting the archive)
for 2) try moving the game folder to the start of the HDD (like c:\gamefoldername\) and try renaming the game folder to something simple to check (like, if you got for name "RJ1310334 爆乳おねえちゃん達と島で男は僕一人 ver 1.00" try something with only english and number ("RJ1310334" or "newgame"... whaterver).

You might also when to make sure the folder is not in "read only" mode

It's odd, I've played a ton of games over the years but never encountered this particular issue. Unicode and everything is in Japanese, folder path isn't particularly long. Tried extracting with both winrar and 7zip for good measure. Tried all the windows compatability modes.

Thanks a lot for the input, I double checked read only, but it's all good there as well.
