RPG Unknown/Hiatus [SeldomPie] The Lusty Lands - Open Beta

Re: The Lusty Lands - Open Beta

i agree, being able to see how your body looks and see how they change across the is a huge plus if u ask me.

Re: The Lusty Lands - Open Beta

just to check, we only have 100 days to mess around?

Or will we be able to carry on after 100 days have run out? Since travelling back and fro does used up quite a number of days esp when you have no idea where you are and where you are supposed to go

Re: The Lusty Lands - Open Beta

Yeah, keeping a character viewer working right would be a huge hassle - there's probably thousands of variations already - but it'd be doable, it'd just be layering lots of sprites, paper doll style. I guess it'd honestly be easier to start adding that now as I work on the game, adding each new tf as it's added to the game, rather than try to work out allll the ones that're needed in the aftermath. I'll have a think.

i2ci2c - You had a time limit in the early builds, but it wasn't enforced. In current builds, you have as long as you like - there shouldn't be any references to the time limit in the game, and if there are, let me know please so I can take them out!

Re: The Lusty Lands - Open Beta

I got one right at the start. I think I hit skip intro, because I don't remember seeing it when I didn't skip it.

Re: The Lusty Lands - Open Beta

oh yeah, forgot about the time part, basically try putting some changes after some time passed just like in Mutant Minx Meltdown, where monsters begin to change. Well in the case of this game, it doesn't have to be the monster mutation, it could be the player that is mutating into something(after fighting some infecting monsters)

Re: The Lusty Lands - Open Beta

Hayate - You know, I've been thinking about this now that the game has no time limit - I want to avoid what I think of as "Fable Syndrome". Dunno if anyone's played Fable, but in that your character can age over the course of the game from a teenager to an old man - but everyone else, his mother and sister included, stay exactly the same age. It's really, really weird. So I kind of want to avoid that, and maybe have characters, towns etc change over time. Not sure what I'll do yet though, it might be too much work.

ALSO - New build!

Better combat - not the new superbuild, but you can run now and it should bug out less - and new potions and clothing.

Re: The Lusty Lands - Open Beta

I like it so far.The pixel art and all is great.

This may be because the game is so new, but I'll still ask, are you planning to make sex scenes more descriptive? I mean, right now they are kind of plane.

it doesn't have to be an age system, it could be an event system that will take place only after a certain amount of days have passed

Re: The Lusty Lands - Open Beta

this game is so retro, it might get banned by the church.

Re: The Lusty Lands - Open Beta

I see, thanks, at least i will now play the hell out of it without having to worry about missed content thanks to time limit.

Re: The Lusty Lands - Open Beta

New Build!

Sorry about the delay, the last month has been kind of awful. Anyway, new stuff, the tundra quest is now completeable, if in a rough form, and the first stage of the magic school is in!

Re: The Lusty Lands - Open Beta

Thanks for the update! Personally I'm hoping for a more fleshed out sex-combat system. The whole *Flirt then leave to win* formula isn't really my thing, and I believe the game would be more popular if victory scenes took place. I mean, in terms of visuals TLL is already quite fantastic in comparison to other adult themed games, it's just lacking erotic content imo.

Re: The Lusty Lands - Open Beta

This has much potential, I like it so far. My criticism is I would like to see more personality in the player charcter. It doesn't feel like *my* character.

Re: The Lusty Lands - Open Beta

I'm sorry to bump this, but does anyone know whatever happened to Seldompie? He kind of just fell off the face off the Earth after saying there was going to be an update for MMM a year ago.

No idea, sorry, but I really miss the guy. Mutant Minx Meltdown, despite the silly name, was REALLY fun with good writing and designs, I had been looking forwards to updates for it quite a bit.

Re: The Lusty Lands - Open Beta

Fuck me man, I just started reading this thread and got excited. Any chance I have to play an H-Game that can trap me for hours I'm down for. And then... and THEN I saw the post date.

Hoo boy. Bummer.

Re: The Lusty Lands - Open Beta

Well, he's alive at least... my reasoning being that the blog is still up even though it's been more than 2 years since his last post. Someone's paying the bill, can't see it being anyone other than the dev.

Re: The Lusty Lands - Open Beta

Isn't the blog free though? He isn't using a fancy domain name so I don't think the blog costs anything. Could we tag this thread that the game is most likely dead as a warning to future readers. I even managed to download the 0.75 version before noticing.

Re: The Lusty Lands - Open Beta

Yeah I'm pretty sure blogspot is free, there are plenty of dead blogs floating around on the internet.

Re: The Lusty Lands - Open Beta

Dead, Vanned, burnt out on developing or H-Games, maybe even struck down with amnesia and no longer aware of his old life.

It is a mystery.

But not really one worth solving, he's clearly not coming back whatever the case. Good luck to him wherever his travels have taken him, the games were fascinating while development lasted.
