It's asking for a Direct3d dll, which is part of Direct X.
Windows doesn't install the whole thing at first, so you need to get the webinstaller to download anything that's missing.

Seriously? No one else having the same problem? Or is there simply no one else who cares? You know, about the bug that creates a million copies of the same sprite and eventually crashing the game when you're caught by the last enemy of a wave?

Either way it's gamebreaking, and yet no one seems to talk about it, including the creator. Seems kind of weird to me, and I find it really sad, considering how much I like this game otherwise.

The problem still isn't solved. If Skyrim stopped working every time you spoke to someone, you wouldn't tell them to go watch the ending on youtube, "problem solved". Part of the charm/fetish with these kind of games is to get caught and potentially escape. RoR you know. I don't know why I'm entertaining you though, your reputation should be enough to show that you're kind of a dick.

Well honestly there doesn't seem to be a blog to this guy or a way to contact (that i'm aware of). This might have just been one of those people who just make 1 game and then disappear afterwards. Not much can be done about it so complaining won't really solve anything. It also feels more like a struggle tho because Im making sure I don't accidentaly crash my game tho.
Skyrim is possibly one of the worst examples you could chose as there is a lot of bugs that can happen at random and the devs don't work on it no more. Such as quests getting broken half way thru. If your on a computer there's ways around it but you can really get screwed if you are on a console. I cant count how many times I stopped playing skyrim because I was aggravated at random fc. Yet I always come back because its an awesome game.

The bug described sounds game breaking.... but I can't seem to reproduce it on my computer. Does it only happen on some stages/enemies? Do you have latest version of the game (which according to eng dlsite was released on 14/01/14 and has a file modification date of 13/01/14)? Maybe it is fixed but you guys have an older version, or maybe the game triggers something odd with your hardware/software setup....
Edit: And upon checking the patch notes on my copy, run through a machine translation, the issue mentioned looks like it was specifically identified and fixed.

I'm not comparing them per say, I'm just saying that you wouldn't let a bug that's ruining a fundamental part of the game slide just because you can see the end result of the game elsewhere, and Skyrim is a well known game, making it a decent example to use.
I've downloaded quite a lot of copies of this game, making sure they have the same update number and date as the last update made on dlsite, and they all have the same bug. It wasn't there before the Hard Mode update, and as far as I've seen and managed to come across, there hasn't been any further updates since.
Also, the update quote you added seem to be from before Hard Mode was added to the game, meaning that it was there previously as well, and is now most likely just back. That or I'm having shitty luck finding the fixed version.

Yes, you are having bad luck I'm afraid. The update quote is valid, it's just the game maker (and myself) forgot to adjust the year number on the patch note. Attached is the patch notes file you should see if you do manage to find the last version the maker put on english dlsite. I've confirmed that version has hard mode and doesn't suffer from the bug you describe. I've also downloaded the last version of the game (uploaded 31/01/14) I could find on AS and confirmed that one does suffer from the bug, for comparison. Dunno why the uploader didn't upload the fixed version, given the date......

I finally got a hold of a working version. How? I searched for the english number (RE) instead of the japanese number (RJ). I feel kind of stupid now.
Anyway, I tested it out, both on a new save and on a full save against the infamous cyclops, and it works.
If anyone else have been looking forward to an actually functional version of the game, here it is:
