Re: Suspicious Infiltration (Neil)

"Well," Sahara leaned forward, taking Neil's palm into her own, lifting it to show Neil her meaning, "If we tried to pass you off as a nekomata, they'd immediately get suspicious over your soft, human hands. You see, we can't try to say you're a mamono, they would ask way too many questions if we did. Rather, it looks like right now, that a male child of a mamono, made a child with a human girl, resulting in a girl with mamono traits, but isn't really a mamono. It isn't really a common thing, or else I'd use an example from the village." she explained.

The other lamia grinned, making a paw with one hand, "But even still, don't forget to practice your meowing!" she told him with a blush.

To which, Sahara clung to Neil, sending daggers at the other lamia, "Are you ogling my husband?" she accused her.

The other lamia simply scratched the back of her head, "Whatever do you mean?" she laughed at her innocently, before turning, and slithering away. "Anyway, we're heading out. Don't fall behind, you two! And make sure you brief him, Sahara!" she waved at them.

With a sigh, and jealous stare, Sahara blew steam at Neil, "You sure seem to be enjoying yourself lately. One woman not enough for you?" she stabbed at him, before turning on him, and slithering down the path leading out of the town to meet up with the other's.

Listens to the explanation, blushing slightly as his hand is taken by the lamia. "Yeah... That is a good point. Probably should have realized that earlier." He shrugs. Though that did more than explain a couple things to him. He now wondered about his parents, who he didn't remember in the slightest. Maybe he was actually born like they were claiming? Maybe it wasn't actually a lie? Well, other than him pretending to be a girl of course.

He snapped back into things as the lamia teased him, and as Sahara clung to him, nearly knocking the wind out of him he was so surprised by it. He blushed again, looking away from Sahara. At her accusations, he'd open his mouth to speak, but she had already turned and slithered off in a huff, leaving Neil in her dust as he hung his head and sighed, then started to make his way to the group alone.

Re: Suspicious Infiltration (Neil)

Catching up with the group, Sahara eventually rejoined Neil next to him. Though she didn't seem any happier. She simply seemed wary of all the other lamia around him. On the side of the cliff, everyone was organized into a large group, with a mature looking lamia at the head of the group, looking back at everyone.

Her hair a shiny white, she displayed evidence of age, but her skin still looked as perfect as the youthful Sahara's. She had one blue eye, where the other had a nasty looking scar going over it, along her face, clearly received from an injury. That eye looked a blind pale color, most likely she couldn't see through it.

"Alright, listen up!" the veteran shouted at everyone in a military tone. "None of you seem to understand the situation here. Alone, we stand absolutely no chance against the demons that hold our sister village captive. I wouldn't even have considered going on this suicide mission, if Sage Cynthia didn't convince elder that this operation would be successful if that boy Neil assisted us. It's an outrageous claim, to say that this one boy could make up the huge difference we need. So understand this, boy!"

She points her finger forward like a blade, pointing at Neil, "All of our hopes are riding on you! I'm asking you right now, in the face of uncertainty, when you have no hopes of knowing what to do, will you continue to strive towards your goal, even if you think that you will fail?"

At the veteran lamia's questioning of Neil, each of the lamia in the group turned their heads, and looked at the one they were beginning to realize had the power over whether they would be successful, or if they would meet a terrible fate. Their expressions, previously laid back, became serious. The seemed suddenly entirely dependent on Neil's confidence that he could save everyone.
