Tarum III - Space Station The Dividing Line

Re: Tarum III - Space Station The Dividing Line

Draven nods, then blinks as Thall mentions the translations. He moves quickly, catching up in less than two minutes time with the program, writing in everything. A series of pitched chirps emit from the device, and then it stops.

"Bingo."

He tilts the device over so Thall can see, and displayed on the screen are no fewer than forty different languages for the word 'kill', all in their alien tongue.

"I've added the word to my own database, and translated it into every known language we have recorded here. Obviously it isn't displaying them all right now, but we now have a start. I'm crossing it over to see if it relates to any other race we have encountered before, though I suspect it won't."

Re: Tarum III - Space Station The Dividing Line

Thall looks at the screen for a moment before nodding. "Interesting, very interesting. Well, I guess we don't have to stand around here and stare at the screen. I was about to check the quarters before Draven called me. Just let me throw on my suit and we can go there."

Re: Tarum III - Space Station The Dividing Line

Draven nods to Thall. "Go ahead, I'm going to stay here and keep inputting into the pad, makes it easier. Unless.... I suppose I could just hook up the pad to your systems and auto record it? Whichever works better for you I guess, it is your ship."

Re: Tarum III - Space Station The Dividing Line

"Sure, leave it here." Thall slips on the center piece of the Grav Suit by entering through the neck which stretches surprisingly far. He walks over to the back of the cockpit and opens another previously invisible hatch, revealing an assortment of helmets, gauntlets and boots. Browsing through them he picks one of each and closes the hatch again. With experienced motions he puts those on as well. A close watcher would find that these gauntlets are slightly bulkier than the ones he wore before.

Re: Tarum III - Space Station The Dividing Line

Draven sets up his pad to record while they are away, then steps out of the ship before speaking. "I'm going to go wander about for a bit, check in with Umbral I think. I recall that he was heading off somewhere, need to see if he got what he needed from my ship yet. Call me if you need me."

He heads off, pacing himself as he keys his comm again. "Umbral this is Draven, calling you back, did you get what you needed, and did you just ask a question?"

Re: Tarum III - Space Station The Dividing Line

"Huh? Oh...Wait...If you're asking about the FTL stuff, then yes, I got it. Should work. I'm a little busy at the moment, trying to work on something Nadia asked me to do."

Re: Tarum III - Space Station The Dividing Line

"Copy that. Anything I can be of assistance with?"

Re: Tarum III - Space Station The Dividing Line

"Depends. I really need someone who can find and cut the power to a particular conduit. Haven't found any kind of identification for it yet, though."

Re: Tarum III - Space Station The Dividing Line

"Want me to come down there and see if I can help you out?"

Re: Tarum III - Space Station The Dividing Line

"Eh, I suppose so...Elevator, bottom level. Look for the computer room."

Re: Tarum III - Space Station The Dividing Line

"Copy that, be there in a few."

Re: Tarum III - Space Station The Dividing Line

Kars had just finished unloading his ship when the Firebird on the hanger floor below deployed a small swarm of those spider bots. Curious as to what the scavenger was up to he decided to follow them. He fired his grapple onto the Hell Strafer and leapt off, slowing his decent as he neared the floor and releasing the grapple. He runs off at the back of the convoy trying to keep pace with the drones.

Re: Tarum III - Space Station The Dividing Line

Vance, who had been listening in, memorizes the word as best he can "That'll come in handy later on" he thinks, stretching his arms and sighing "I'm going to get some sleep" he says, walking past Thall and smiling "If anyone needs me, I'll be in my own quarters" he says, yawning as he exits the ship and heads towards the Quarters

Re: Tarum III - Space Station The Dividing Line

After a (very) brief bit of exploration, Zachery makes his way down to the hangar area. The Ashotur Mako immediately catches his eye. "Hello...This could be interesting..."

Re: Tarum III - Space Station The Dividing Line

Draven had decided to come back to the hangar to reclaim his rifle. While it was unlikely he would need it now, it was better to be safe than sorry. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw a new person there, and for a moment he considered sounding an alarm, then shook it off. There was no need to do so, whoever it was... wait, could that be the android? He decided to test that out.

"Well, I'm assuming your our new guest?"

((Draven is in his natural mist form at the moment if you need clarification))

Re: Tarum III - Space Station The Dividing Line

The young man Draven addressed calmly turns around to face him. At first, he says nothing, then... "That is one way of putting it, I suppose."

Re: Tarum III - Space Station The Dividing Line

The reaction told Draven all he wanted to know of the man. Despite his appearance, he wasn't human, of this he was certain. Which meant...

"Then I will assume you are Zachery then? I am Draven. Draven Naros of the Ingrali."

Meanwhile Thall has arrived in the quadrant that comprise the personnel quarters. It presents itself as a three-storied gallery with a multitude of doors on each side. Judging from the space between the doors Thall estimates that the rooms behind are more likely apartments. A blinking monitor catches his eye. As he takes a look at it he recognizes it as a register.
-Level 1: Standard Accommodations
-Level 2: Special Requirement Accommodations (Telarin)
-Level 3: Special Requirement Accommodations (Garik)

The Telarin hmms and clicks on a random room in the Telarin column. The monitor beeps and changes the room from "vacant" to "occupied". Once more Thall hmms and walks over to an elevator platform. Let's see how comfortable those accommodations are.

Re: Tarum III - Space Station The Dividing Line

Zachery pauses for a moment before responding. Ingrali...no match... "You are correct, Draven. I am Zachery Roland." It would seem to Draven that Zachery was making an effort to choose his words carefully, like due to the fact that it was rather obvious that Draven was the first of his kind Zachery had encountered.

Meanwhile, Umbral had reached the same terminal Thall was at not too long ago. After looking over the display, he selects one from the Standard Accommodations column, tagging one of those rooms as "occupied".

"You need not be so careful around me with your words, you can't really offend me in any way. Though I'll admit, for anyone, first contact can be a bit... unnerving, especially when your not even certain the people or person your making contact, if they are actually even there or if your just imagining it."

He moves slightly to look toward the Mako. "I take it you have an interest in the Ashotur ship?"
