This is a japanese h-dev we're talking about here. As far as they're concerned insanely hard = fun.
Hey, I'll take it over HCG slideshows that play themselves with really long walking simulators between each picture because the difficulty is nonexistent.

Are we talking about "hard" figuratively or literally here?
Man, i can't decide if i should reply to the figurative or the literal, so i'm just gonna write both:

If Figurative:
Yeaaaah... i never and do-not-want-to understand why japanese gamers love to torture themself with games, playing the highest difficulty in Bullet Hell for example.

If Literal:
I'm pretty sure only becoming hard, and that's it, is not fun and a nuisance actually, just like how Morning Wood is.

Hey, I'll take it over HCG slideshows that play themselves with really long walking simulators between each picture because the difficulty is nonexistent.

I certainly don't mind a challenge (I've beaten all 3 dark souls games, then went back and did it without using magic to cheese everything), but there's a point where challenge becomes absurd and then it's just frustrating and no fun. I.E. When a dev creates a scenario where you're at such a disadvantage it's nearly impossible to beat during normal gameplay experience (say you'd need to grind +20 to +30 extra levels in this game, for instance).

The bandits surviving isn't so much challenging as it is just heavily reliant on rng. Disguising luck based events as a challenge isnt really that fun of gameplay, its mostly just frustrating. :(

They might be required to recruit the bikini amazon warrior, but nothing so far in the trial.

The bald one can learn some useful stuff, like a stun skill and the same one from the #10 skill book that prevents counter attacks. His default skill is actually pretty good, although it costs 6SP, it keeps the battle going until one of you dies. Makes me wonder what happens if both deal 0 damage to the other...

The useless suicidal idiot gets a variety of ranged attacks. One has 2-4 range but normal damage, another is 1-2 but boosted damage, and his default skill is just 1-2 range and normal damage. He can also learn a stronger melee attack.

And yeah, it's random what they learn, but you can replace an old move if they learn a 4th. Honestly I don't think it's worth the cost to hire them, but they could be good for something else.

I agree. RNG is a sign of poor balance. If the player is meant to save them, it should be feasible at the recommended level. If not, there should be an appropriately scripted scene removing the NPCs. The fight is not fair. I am not opposed to challenge, but the challenge should be fair.

Author posted update in blog. Basically says

"Terribly Sorry about the delay chaps, but the game will be released In November for 980 yen."

It's gonna have 28 base cgs, and 30 stages.


Is it time to reignite the hype train?

To go with the previous end of September and early October ones.

apparently the games going to be 980 Yen ($10 dollars or £7)

30 stages, 28( or 34?) CG?

Yeah, I'm not entirely sure what that means, but a previous blog post boasted 25 CGs with 300 differences, so it's probably a similar idea.

There's 29 individual variations to the girl's body parts in the demo, including her default state, and then there's that "2nd form" thing. I'd assume there'd also be other differences in the CGs besides that, like facial expressions, positions, and money shots, so maybe that all adds up to 34? Who knows.

Videos, though? Pretty sure what we've seen so far don't count as videos. Description for the demo says there's 2 CGs, even though they're animated, and that the full product will have a CG per monster capture. So... I guess there'll be something much bigger? Endings, perhaps?

I can't wait.

THANK YOU SO FUCKING MUCH FOR POSTING TO TELL ME THAT THE GAME STILL ISN'T OUT YET. What would I do if it weren't for you? Be able to wait for the day it's actually released in peace? Because who want's to do that?

As long as i know the game will deliver when i can finally play it, i don't mind waiting. :cool:
