This time Mel manages to slash at some of the tentacles, causing them to bleed green goo as Liz once again shoots true, another arrow sticking from the monster as Mel manages to avoid another tentacle coming at her.

Emboldened by her small success, Mel keeps hacking away at it, trying to cut enough of the tendrils to work her way free and get some room...

A sense of relief washes over Liz as she sees Mel finally managing to score a few hits on the tentacles, accompanied by another of her own well aimed shots. Hoping to press what now seemed like their advantage, Liz readies another arrow and takes aim at the slimy thing.

Liz's arrow whizzes past the creature, but Mel manages to cut herself free. The monster moves closer, but Mel manages to easily dodge its attacks.

Liz grumbled under her breath as her arrow flew harmlessly passed her target, sticking into the ground somewhere behind it. She was glad to see Mel manage to cut herself free of the thing’s tentacles, though, and quickly lined up another shot with her bow.

The last tendril severed, Mel danced back a bit, falling into a defensive stance to try and keep it's attention on herself. That was a bit of a close one, but now that she was more prepared, she stood a much better chance...

Eliza misses again with her arrow and Melbara is surprised by the monsters speed as it grabs her again, not giving her time to defend herself.

Mel growls again as the limber appendages start to wrap around her once more. "Dammit, faster than I thought.." She grumbled, back to trying to hack herself free once more...

Liz’s frustration grew at her second consecutive miss, seeing the things slimy tentacles reach for Mel yet again and catch her in its grip. Determined to help her comrade, however, Liz quickly drew another arrow and took aim at the creature’s center mass, hoping to possibly get lucky and strike a vital point that might help put an end to this encounter.

Liz quickly readies another arrow as the last one glances off the creature’s hide, just missing her mark. They were making progress, at least, between Mel’s hacking away at it and Liz’s arrows, but Mel looked to be getting a bit winded as well from the melee. Hopefully they could each score a decent hit here and put an end to this creature.

Mel was indeed starting to wear out, just starting to gasp for breath as she continued cutting away at her assailant, the strikes coming a bit slower now. She spared a thought for how real the fatigue felt, this game really was impressive indeed...

Mel's sword cuts some tentacles while Eliza's arrow goes awry again and another tentacle wraps itself around Melbara's leg, its slime sending a tingling feeling through her body.

Liz began to grow more frustrated after her fourth consecutive miss, quickly drawing another arrow as the creature got another tentacle around Mel’s leg as she exchanged another blow with it. Willing herself to calm down and concentrate on her target, Liz took a deep breath before taking aim once more and letting her arrow fly.

Nearly at the end of her rope, Mel's slashes get progressively slower and weaker. A new tendril winds around her foot again, and she noticed for the first time a tingling feeling, starting at her leg and lightly running through her. She aims for that new tendril, trying to sever it and back away again, fully gasping for breath now...

As more tentacles bludgeon her, Mel suddenly finds herself wrapped ever tighter and only able to watch helplessly as yet another of Eliza's arrows misses the monster.

“Goddamn it!” Liz shouts as her arrow flies harmlessly passed the creature yet again, left in disbelief at how she could have missed so many times as the tentacles finally wore Mel out and began entangling her. The law of averages alone says that she should have scored a hit that time, even if she had set her difficulty a little above normal. Liz was beginning to regret that decision again as she readied another arrow, letting it fly.

You can roll more than one round at a time to speed things up here, if you want. Unless something significant happens, Liz will just keep shooting arrows at it until it’s dead or she’s forced to fight with her sword, at which case she’ll just do that until it’s dead or she loses as well.

Liz manages to hit the monster with two more arrows before it grabs her, pulling her off her horse. Though she manages to slash it with her sword, the weight feels woefully unfamiliar in her hands as another slash pulls her off-balance, allowing the monster to attack again. Liz manages to make another wild swing before it grabs her arms, pulling the sword off of her and wrapping her to a helpless state as well...

Even bound an drestricted, Mel thrashed against the creature, trying to disrupt it to let Liz finish it off. It did little good though, the thing seemed content to just hold her while it brought low her companion as well. Once she saw Liz get wrapped up as well, she calmed down some. Seemed story was about to take a backseat, for a while...

Liz finally manages to score two more satisfying hits with her bow after the series of misses, but that small triumph it short lived as the tentacled creature closes the distance on her pulls her from atop her horse as it had done to Mel before. Unable to use her bow at this range, she quickly scrambles to her feet and draws her sword, taking a viscous swing at the monster in an attempt to finish it off. It’s relatively fluid movements come a bit unexpectedly to Liz as it slips just out of her swords path, causing her to miss it entirely and leaving her open the creatures tentacles.

Liz makes one more desperate swing with her sword as the tentacles converge on her, but before she can put any real force behind it, one of the tentacles catches her arm and pulls tightly, wrenching her sword out of her hand. “No...!” she whines as more of them slither around her body, leaving her just as restrained and helpless as Mel. Liz continues to struggle against the tentacles for a brief while longer, but it isn’t long before her efforts prove futile, only serving to wear her out as well. “I...I’m sorry, Mel,” she mutters breathlessly, resigning herself to what was surely about to be her first sexual experience in the EGG – or at all, for that matter.
