The green jelly wobbles more and begins to grow warm and sticky. The smell of it grows stronger, and Kagura is reminded that she hasn't had lunch yet. The spinning chair behind her is now wobbling lazily, and suddenly turns upside down, slowing to a halt.

After seeing a further reaction that was fairly limited from the goop, Kagura came to a realization that she might want to eat something sooner or later. Giving some thought to the obvious idea one would get in her situation, she decided to try out a small portion from the green thing, having reservations about the action but deciding to go through with it to stave off a bit of her hunger.

The green jelly has sweet and spicy taste, definitely something to savour. Then it attacks her face, quickly covering her eyes and mouth while her chair violently tilts backwards, sending her on the floor. Luckily she lands without hurting herself and manages to keep her polearm at hand. The green goo seems to be rapidly growing.

Even with all her carefulness, there was little that Kagura could do with the distraction of actually eating the thing in front of her to avoid it getting the jump on her. The slime went splat on her face, and the went down as a follow-up to that particular action. Thankfully the landing was nailed safely, so there was not real harm from it. Getting her blade into a position that she would be able to poke the slime and not herself was fairly hard, so the miko just kept to trying to remove the thing by pulling on it while trying to get to her feet or at least a more favorable position than being on her back was.

Kagura manages to tear the goo off her face, only for it to rapidly attach again. Her second attempt manages to remove most of the stuff from her face, only for it to bind her arms together and make a convincing attempt at cutting off her breath as tendrils of the goo still cling to her face, trying to get over her nose and into her mouth. The smell of it is now almost intoxicating.

Despite putting up some good resistance, Kagura found herself to be on the losing end of this struggle, which was bad as she had was not certain what this thing wanted to do with her, and dying in an abandoned house at her young age was not of particular interest to the miko. But with her situation being what it was, she had no real way to escape besides try to brute force herself out from the slime's grip, and that was what she put her strength into.

Kagura struggles to get free, but the intoxicating scent of spices fills her nostrils as they are covered entirely with the slime and she starts running out of breath. With a panicked burst of strength, she manages to tear it off of her face, but it still manages to cling to her hands and quickly sets to binding her arms again.

Engaging the slime in a rather one-sided wrestling match, Kagura meets little success at first but manages to get herself out from the worst of it after a panic surge. But she couldn't manage to get much farther than that as some of the goop stuck to her nonetheless and was back at it before she could get completely rid of it. The struggle would go on, for as long as she had her arms bound and the slime was on her, using her naginata was going to be basically impossible.

After some more struggling and long minutes of stalemate, Kagura manages to cast the green goo on the floor.

Thankfully, there was only a little effort needed to get herself released as Kagura chucked the slime off herself. With her freedom regained, she got to her feet, assuming a fighting stance before attacking the goo with her weapon for the first time in this battle.

Kagura manages to slice the goo almost in half, then dodges an attempt by it to grab her leg. That's when everything goes wrong. Her next swing hits the floor, getting the blade stuck just as the goo pounces, slamming to her face so hard that she stumbles back. Blinding her again, the goo hardens around the miko's head, making it almost impossible to breathe and as she tries to tear it off, she only manages to get her hands stuck in the jelly. After a brief struggle, Kagura passes out, not even feeling it when she hits the ground.

The smell is still as pleasant as ever, if not more so. The scent of spices is matched by a taste of something sweet in her mouth, but Kagura still cannot see. Touch is the last sense to return, and with it a bewildering variety of sensations. Something soft and heavy is laying on her face, extending a hard but so very tasty tendril into her mouth that leaks sweet nectar onto her tongue and into her throat. Her breasts, too, are covered in warm goo that gives them a good squeeze every now and then. Something intangible is holding down her arms and legs, and it seems that her garments have left her.

"Just a little more..." Kagura thought as she found some initial success with the slime chopping. But it was not going to be her day, apparently. What was probably going to be a finishing blow in a good scenario ended up being a critical fumble instead as the blade of the naginata bit into the ground, enabling the slime to attack her again as there was a wide opening presented to it. The impact was harsh, the miko getting sent reeling from the slam, and the attempts to free herself only made it worse as the slime hardened on her hands. "I guess... this is it then... never thought it would end like this..." were her thoughts as her conscious faded from the lack of air.

And then she was back again, still experiencing sensory input from most of her senses. "Ouch... that was nasty..." she complained mentally about the slight ache still on her face. But that matter was of minor concern as there were more imminent ones to deal with. The smell could not be anything else than the slime, which was not apparently wanting to eat Kagura as she was still in the world of the living. But it did want something from her, considering what it was doing at that moment. The lack of her robes was suspicious, and with no way of seeing what was happening, the miko only had her other senses to rely on to make out what was going on. The priestess was not too afraid though as she had been spared already, so the creature was not wanting to slay her, and was actually using some effort to make her feel good. Considering the sweet tooth she had, Kagura was finding the liquid in her mouth pleasant, if a bit hard to enjoy with the hard, long tendril filling it. Her breasts were sensitive, what with their size, so she was effectively teased by the squeezing as well. Kagura was not sure if this was a good situation to let develop though, so she made an attempt at struggling, not expecting much to come out of it as she was fairly weak and dizzy from the sensory input and the earlier bonk to the face.

As Kagura starts struggling, the goo starts slowly expanding onto her belly while the squeezing on her breasts grows gentler but no less stimulating. Her struggles do no good and in a few minutes the goo reaches her flower and thighs.

With only a minor amount of effort that she could put into resistance, Kagura could not really make an impact with her escape attempt, and the sticky slime only grew in size to cover her more as a result, which increased the weight on her. Soon enough, the miko was covered pretty bad, and did not make any further effort to escape as she basically submitted to what the thing had planned for her as she saw the chance of escaping being non-existent.

The creature, having secured it's victim and spread out to it's liking, soon went into action. It started to tease Kagura's intimates, which made her incredibly awkward and bothered. She had never been touched in such a manner, not even by herself, and she had been against the idea of this kind of touching all her life, probably due to her profession and lack of experience. But as the tease progressed, the priestess started to feel incredibly weird and nice, which certainly made her mind towards this kind of activity a little more accepting. The only real thing that she had issues with was that this was a slime of some kind, and she should probably not be having this kind of interaction with it. As Kagura turns to leave after moving the plate, a slimy arm too large for the silver dish slowly raises from it and waves at her before disappearing again.

The pantry is as Kagura remembers it from her brief look, covered with dust and with stairs leading down to cellars. Going down without some kind of light would probably be unwise, but so would carrying an open flame in such a dusty environment.

Noticing the slime hand as she went, Kagura stopped only briefly to nod her head at it. She had already said what she wanted to. Back at the kitchen, she could only really find a hazardous set of stairs leading to darkness. She would need to find a special light source or something similar to go there without too much risk.

Having noticed another doorway in the dining room, she went back to that particular room again to see what was waiting behind that door.

The other door out of the dining room leads to a large, lavishly furnished entrance hall with oil lamps adorning the walls between hangings, hunting trophies and paintings depicting generations of people who owned this manor. This room seems almost untouched by time, with barely any dust and no tarnishing of the metal surfaces or other decay. The main entrance of the manor is at one end and a large staircase leading upstairs at the other. There are also four other doors to the hall, three of which have artfully carved decorations on them - a bottle of wine, a scroll and a quill - while the last stands out by being plain.

Going past the new doors, Kagura finds a big, fancy hall that was far too luxurious and big to her modest upbringing, and suspiciously clean too. But the state of cleanliness was not what she was there for, so she let the minor details be for now. Looking at the various doors, the miko quickly decides to investigate the room behind the plain entry first, as that one was not hinting about what it might be hiding behind the doors.

The plain door leads Kagura into an armoury, with spears and shields hanging from the walls and several sets of armour stood upright in front of the back wall. There are no windows, but a small forge in the left corner sheds light from flames and loud clanging of metal against metal can be heard from the anvil, despite there being no smith in evidence and no heat comes from it, either. An open door at the right wall leads into darkness.

The opening of the door reveals that there is a smithy beyond it, one that looks to be in decently good condition too, with some produce in storage. Thankfully Kagura had her long-time companion in her hands, she might have been tempted to try one of the spears out had she not. The operation of the smithy was pretty suspicious too, there were certainly lingering presences of people still held back from going to the afterlife here, or these were some other kind of spirit. Despite the curiosity that the room provided, the priestess was sure she needed to find a light for the dark area, and there was none there. So, she retreated from the smithy for now, closing the door after her.

At the hall, she picked the wine room next, fully expecting to come across a different type of spirits there.
