Re: The Reputation Hilarity/Insanity thread New version

Also it better not be me, plmnko will be pissed at me if I rep someone and that person took his spot.......

Well, no worries about someone else taking his spot. You already took it. :D

Also, there's a member called Guan Yu? Screw the rest of you. We need to get the God of War to the top. Put him in his rightful place.

Re: The Reputation Hilarity/Insanity thread New version

More like the god of tits!

But on topic, if you don't want someone to just 'jump in' on a conversation on this forum there are options given to keep your conversation private.

I constantly jump into threads, say something, then never return. That's rude behavior, unlike trying to join a conversation mid-way.

(Joke came from toxic. XD)

Re: The Reputation Hilarity/Insanity thread New version

It's a forum though

It's always going to be halfway through the conversation, and posts can be weeks in between

Well yes, but because it is a forum you can read the convo from the beginning if you lack context, which should be easy enough to tell if you haven't just woken up and aren't drunk/high/tired. But like I mentioned, not exactly a big deal, unless it's a serious convo in which case jumping in halfway while clearly not knowing what you're talking about can be annoying I'm sure some would agree.

Re: The Reputation Hilarity/Insanity thread New version

It's like having a debate but you only know 10% of the subject.

Protip: You can contract certain sentences by substituting words that equal what you'd normally have to describe, for example:

It's like having a debate when you're a creationist.

Better than believing sentient aliens seeded the planet....

Actually, no it isn't. This quote from Richard Dawkins came from him being repeatedly badgered to present an theory in which creationism could possibly occur at all, and yeah.. Alien life seeding is more likely than that, moreso considering we ourselfs set out a probe that, one day, could unwittingly present the biological starting point for life. We're talking a near negligable chance, but beats a nonexistant chance for me.

Plus, you dun have to even be 'Sentien't to seed a planet, just a spore slamming on the earth, but I personally see nothing wrong with the self replicating amino acid theory.

Just to share some insight over the reps of last week:

Also, I'd like to quote Pervy's statement when I said "I thought you're on about the same lane as Zeph with futagirls.":

"Zephs lane goes straight through yuritown capital and crashes into a building.
and then theres fire.
and orgies on the streets.
that are also on fire."

:D :D

The Reputation... 11th June 2017 22:50 Lol, that sounded almost like defending creationism.

Lol, get fucked. I had no idea of any quote, and spat out the least plausible theory I could imagine.

As for what I actually believe? Last time I checked science wasn't quite sure how life started on our planet, some amoeba pool or some shit, but they hadn't ruled out the religious people's version of things either. In any event, I believe it doesn't fuckin matter. We're here and that's that.

On a side note even though I lost my faith a long time ago, I find it quite irritating that scientific minds are so quick to jump to derision over the mere possibility of someone with faith not accepting their completely unproven (because you have no actual irrefutable evidence) theories.

No, the least plausible would be an allmighty yet intangible supernatural force. I explained why in my prior post. We know we exist, we know we sent out life into the universe, we needn't be the first with that idea. I don't subscribe to that theory, but its still more likely than a religious approach, with a 100% proof ratio.. one evidence of life reaching out vs zero of a deity reaching out.

Ah, the old 'Hah, you can't completely disprove it!' arguing tactic.. yeah, true, but with every scientific discovery the gaps in which god could hide get smaller and smaller, until its no more 'This lightning is caused by Zeus!' but 'Well god could hide.. over there! Aha! Origin of life, who has really been alive to see that! Check-mate!'

All scientific theories are proven, else they don't even become theories but stay hypotheses, do understand how something even works before babbling about it. The common language term 'theory' doesn't mean what 'scientific theory' means.

Re: The Reputation Hilarity/Insanity thread New version

Wow, really stepping up to the plate now that I've taken a couple of pot-shots at your faith huh?

Fuckin whackjob religious fanatics anyway. Say one thing that doesn't agree with their 'big book of how things happened' and they're out for blood.

Well I for one will not succumb, or stand down no matter how much you try to proselytize or 'religion shame' me.

Avoiding every point I make and ascribing faith to me? I don't have faith in anything, if I had to label myself, it'd be as absurdist.

Also, 'you will not stand down'? Hah, yeah, onwards to the trenches fight the good fight for whatever nonsense you want.
