"Hey, she's coming to..." Astra stir the echo of a familiar voice as she'd slowly open her eyes. The girl appeared to be in some sort of make-shift camp, with a single campfire lighting up the otherwise dark area.... yet her company was certainly unusual!

Bill, Carl and Ted all sat around and smiled to her "Told ya she's fine." Ted spoke with a smirk holding his rifle "Sure glad we didn't have to fight ya." Bill added "Would've been... bad." "For us." Ted added, spurring Carl to finally speak up "You okay? Havent seen many who've shaken off bullets and injuries this damn quickly."

Astra seemed to be covered in some very basic linen rag... it wasn't much but it did cover her up! And just as Carl said, Astra would look over the shot injuries she had to see her silken skin had not even a mark or hint of the previous injury there.

"Man~ Wish I was a demon. Durable, powerful, capable magic and amazing swordplay. Like you." Bill spoke up "Woah woah.. she's nothing like those assholes. Are ya?" the trio turned to Astra.

As Astra was waking up, she could hear some oduly familiar voices. When she finally opened her groggy eyes, Astra looked around. She was in some sort of makeshift camp with the trio from before!

What they said seemed to be true as she had no mark at all from where she was injured earlier! Then she notices the wrap that's barely covering her. They say me naked! Astra lightly panicked. She didn't mind being seen naked by a women, expecially when that women was constantly teasing her, but she wasn't used to haveing men see her naked!

After calming down she relied to the trio with a red face. Thanks, you three, and ya, I'm not like those other demons. At least I hope I don't seem like I'm like them. Where are the demons?

"Well hey, those bastards were giving us trouble as well." Carl smiled bashfully at the thanks "Besides actually saving people was... a nice change." Bill added with a similar smile, as Ted remained silent on the matter though joined in on the mood.

"AND! We got our stuff back--- Oh that reminds me!" Carl quickly rushed away briefly, before remaining duo addresed Astras question about the demons... "Dunno." they'd shrug "We sorta hit and ran. There were three of them, so didn't want to run into the big guy."

It would only be moments later, when Carl returned with a subtle blush "We've... only these to offer, but should beat you know... going full... yeah." he'd give the girl what seemed to be a set of a black leather bra and panties, as well as a simple white shirt.

Astra was glad that the trio seemed to be leaving their misguided path. Astra watched Carl went off to find something, and while waiting, she asked. What do you mean big guy? It would be troublesome if there was a third demon.

When Carl came back with the underwear and shirt, Astra blushed once again and said A-ah, thanks! Do you three mind if you give me some privacy real quick? If they did, Astra would quickly put on the new clothing, and rip the blanket to make a skirt out of it. It was a very showy outfit, but it was better than nothing!

When she finished, she would call out to the trio, telling them she was done. When they came back she asked them another question. Where's my sword by the way? As she asked she looked up to see what time of day it was. She might be able to take another go at the demons the same day if it was bright out.

"Yeah, I mean... ofcourse!" the trio quickly turned around and waited out the girls outfitting and improv outfit designing, albeit she did hear some murmurs and whispers of 'quit it' from the guys. Still as Astra gave the all clear, soon enough they'd turn right back to her... each one briefly stunned at the girls quite eye-drawing appearance. Up to until the question of Astras sword came up.

"Sword?" Bill blinked and looked to Carl, as Ted silently facepalmed "SWORD!" "AH SHIT!" somehow Astra could guess her swords un-picked-up fate already... "Completely forgot about that." "Yeah in such a rush to bolt out of there we sorta missed it."

The sky already had a clear orange hue of sundown, no doubt daylight would not last much longer...

Astra’s outfit turned out rather nicely, she thought. She felt something happiness at seeing the the guys reactions and some discomfort still. Then the trio revealed they had left her sword! Wha-what! You left my sword!? That's my most important item! I have to go get it back! Astra full on panicked at this moment.

She was about to rush off, but then realized she had no idea where this camp was compared to the demon's. Where is their camp! Astra asked with haste. That sword was the last item she had that Evan gave to her, plus it was how she defended herself!

The guys looked between one another "It's that way. Come on!" "Damnit Bill!" "YOU said you had it!" the group quickly rushed off across the woods! Astra seemingly running onwards ahead only for one of the guys voices to correct her course!

With a leap from the bushes and the trio tumbling forward in pursuit of the girl, utterly exhausted Astra would slide along the grass and look around the opening... this was the place!

Her eyes quickly scanning the area, the girl quickly saw the numerous crates, several burned patches of grass and her blade! Safe and sound exactly as she had seen it before! Yet oddly enough noone else was here, not even the demons.

Infact, Astra could spot a pile of a pile of leather armor, exactly like the one the demon ranger wore... in the very same spot she left the unconscious demon! Upon further inspection the girl also noted ebony armor lieing in a small pile as well. The demons were not here.

Astra couldent really blame the trio for the loss of the sword, but she couldent let the demons run away with the sword! As she ran, she let the trio tell her which direction to head to! After awhile of running they burst into the clearing where the bandit's camp was!

Looking around she saw her sword, and two sets of armors! They were what the demons were wearing the last she saw them! Not thinking about it for the moment, Astra dives for her sword, grabbing it and keeping it close. With her sword finally back in her hands, Astra calms down somewhat.

Looking around this time, she inspects the two empty armors. What happened here? Astra would mumble, loud enough for the trio to hear. She looked around for any signs of the demons.

Her blade once again safe and sound, Astra could finally look around and note the odd sightings around. Indeed upon approaching the armors there was no mistaking this was what the demons wore, yet where were the demons themselves?

"Well... after we saw... We came to help you out, just a little too late." Carl spoke up, pointing to the area "The armored freak was standing there, so Ted took a shot, before me and Bill rushed in to finish him off." he'd look to where the armor was "He collapsed right over there."

"Um... Do demons melt when they die?" Bill asked unsurely "Or vanish?" Astra would ofcourse know that demons were similar to any other being, they would not just pop out of existence upon defeat.

Still with the trio here as well, the group would have to deduct that the demons just sort of disappeared! In turn, leaving all their loot behind as well... "Hey guys! Check this out this one has silks and junk!"

You guys managed to knock out the armoured guy? Nice shot, and no demons are like everyone else. We don't just up and disappear, so either they moved, or someone else moved them. Astra explained to them while continuing to look around. People don't just vanish like that. While she was doing that, one of the trio calls out about all the loot. Whoa, if all those crates have stuff in them, then these bandits were doing work. Astra comments while looking into the nearest box.

She didn't have all that much interest in them as she would most likely return them to the guild so that they could find the rightful owners. Prehaps she might get a bonus for that or not, it didn't matter to Astra. Unless she found something amazing she went right back to looking for new tracks in the camp area. This problem baffled her to much to just ignore.

The more Astra looked for traces of someone moving them... or well undressing the demons for some reason, the stranger it seemed. There were no significant footsteps or drag marks to hint at the demons being moved. Infact, the camp seemed completely abbandoned ever since Astras visit.

"So~ If they're not gonna use it, we might as well claim it!" Bill cheered out "How the heck are we going to haul this?" "What the heck would we even do with all this." Ted quickly interrupted the mussings "I dunno... I mean we sell it, right?" "To whom?" "Details, Ted. Details..." Carl waved off the worries, though listening to them Astra quickly realised the guys weren't exactly planning on returning this stuff. Infact, even if they kept it... seemed they had little to no real plan what to actually do with around 8 crates of various items! Astra own check-up on what lied inside would lead the girl to find most of the boxes sealed tight, hiding what was inside.

The more Astra looked, the more all the marks on the ground looked the same. She couldent find anything from them, it was if the were not dragged or even just walked away. Astra decided she would have to try and find some clues about this later.

Hmmm, we really should just take all this stuff back to the guild, I mean it's the right thing to do. But I'm not the perfect person, some of the crates might just disappear on my way back with them. Astra winks at the trio, she needed someway to pay them back and they needed money. Here I can let you guys take half of em, I can't do anymore. This is the only proof that I completed my mission. Astra explains.

If they agreed then she would look to see if the bandits left any carts from previous raids, if not then if she would ask the trio for help bringing her share back to the city.

The guys exchanged glances among each other "Well... I guess thats fair. I mean, you did kick these bastards asses more or less." they'd nod amongst themselves in agreement "Consider it a deal." Carl gave Astra an approving nod.

It wouldn't be long after that soon enough each one had to haul one of the crates, Astra taking the heaviest one without really noticing it while the trio lugged the lighter ones in turn... much to a few groans.

Still with some effort and encouragement the group would reach the town safely! Astra asking where she could leave the supplies only to find out that any such returns were handled by the Mayor herself!

Much to a united sigh from the guys, they'd still stick to see the delivery through as the four would place the boxes outside the Mayors offic--- *SLAM* The Mayor still seemed to have not learned how to properly open doors... the door swung open as the overly energetic girl appeared! "Hello~! Astra!" she'd beam Astra a bright smile, who couldn't help, but smile back in turn if only from the positive energy the mayor seemed to carry with herself... as well as the girls substantial bust accentuating her movements all the more!

"What do you have there?" she'd run up the girl and lean forward with a beaming smile, though as Astra presented the loot she recovered she'd also motion over to the trio... who seemed to be rooted and petrified in place, their mouths open to say something but their whole body stiff and gazes very clearly stuck to the Mayors eyedrawing assests...

"Oh~ Who are these?! More adventurers to help the town out?!" the Mayor beamed a smile, though judging by the guys condition... Astra would have to cover for them. However whether she told the truth about the band or not, was up to her.

Astra nodded happily at the three accepting to help her out. Thanks guys, let's get going! She said with enthusiasm! Astra ended up unknowingly holding the heaviest of the crates, while the other three just helped carry the lighter of the crates.

They arrived at the gates, ready to deliver the crates to the gaurds, only to find that they needed to bring the crates to the mayor's! Although Astra had no problem with that, she could see the trio were a little tired. Don't worry guys, I'm sure you won't regret it. Astra had a feeling that the trio would enjoy the company of the Mayor.

They finally reached the Mayor's office and right as they put down the crates, the door was slammed open and out came the Mayor who still had too much energy! Hello!~ Astra tried to reply with the same strange energy that the Mayor had, though she couldent do it to the same degree. The women was an anomaly in that regard

As the mayor approached, all four of the group couldent help but stare at the Mayor's figure as she moved. Registering the Mayor's questions, Astra replies after a second, Ahhh, oh these three are possible adventures, I think they have the ability to be adventures, so it's only their say. Astra explained, while watching to see if the trio responded. If they did she would begin to explain where she got these crates once they were done talking. If they didn't she would just skip to the explanation.

"Adventurers?!" The Mayors brilliant eyes seemed to light up as she looked to the trio, who'd blink and look amongst themselves unsurely... moments before the beaming girl began to rush them, clear smile on her face and clear intent of a deep, upclose and utterly smothering intent all too clear! The guys eyes widened as if in slow-motion seeming the bouncings cups draw near up to--- "HEEL!"

A commanding female voice echoed out loudly, as suddenly absolutely everyone lined up in a neat line their back straight and their bodies tense! The guys, the mayor and even Astra found herself instinctively stuck in the line too?!

With a clang of heels, Clare, the Mayors assistant appeared from the same doorway as the Mayor herself. It was unmistakeably her that gave the command and somehow Astra didn't feel entirely safe to move out of the line she found herself in!

"These are the supplies from the bandit raids, correct?" she'd approach the line and address Astra "We'll look over the items and return them to their rightful owners. The finders fee will be sent to you as soon as we finish this." the girl fixed her glasses as she'd look to the trio and approach them "You three, report to Command Brecken in South District." "But we..." Bill attempted to speak up as he'd take a step out of the line only for a sudden whip lash to echo out and slam right infront of his feet, instantly scaring the man back in line!

Indeed in Claras hand a whip that seemed to be made from the shadows themselves appeared, before just as it was summoned the weapon was gone "Now." she'd command in a dominant voice as all three guys quickly headed off as quickly as they could!

Still with that the air seemed to relax, as Clara only sighed casually and cross her hands. Astra feeling the girls presence let her go "Clara~" the Mayor spoke up cutely leaning closer to the girl "You scared us half to death." she'd speak a playful tone, spurring the assistant to reply "Commander Brecken will do a background check on them, as well as test their potential. We have to keep an eye on who roams our city." the girl stated flatly.

Astra was slightly startled at the Mayors rush for the trio. She was about to say something, but Clare appeared. She quickly took control of the situation, putting all of them into attention with just her aura alone! Astra felt like Clare was in total control of her for some reason. Perhaps it was also just her aura alone, but it was a new feeling for Astra, one she may not be forgetting soon.

Uh... Y-ya this is the stuff I found at the bandit's camp. Astra bent the truth of the matter slightly, as to let the trio keep their reward for helping her. Astra tried to get used to Clare's authority, but not even the Mayor was able to truly ignore it, it seemed. Astra just sort of subconsciously looked to Clare for approval of her actions as long as she kept up her authority aura.

Sooo, can I go and report my mission to the guild now? Astra asked while awkwardly standing there. If she was good to go, she would walk into the guild and approach Charles, who was probably in the same spot as usual.

"Ofcourse." Clara shrugged casually with a subtle sly smile, seemingly amused she had the same effect on Astra as the others. Still with that Astra was free to return to the guild and claim her reward-- "Hey~ Astra!" suddenly the Mayor seemed to catch up the girl with a bright smile, seemed she had a quick message to share with the girl before she left "Hey, we'll be having one of the waves come through so... people might be acting wierder than usual for a bit. Try not to injure someone too badly, if it comes to it. 'kay?"

The shared message was certainly vague, yet if Astra attempted to inquire further details the Mayor would only giggle cheefully "I'm not the best at explaining these things, just you'll know what I mean when it comes through." she'd wink to her, moments later heading back away and to her office.

Slightly befuddled at the Mayors words Astra would still return back to the guild and just as she expected, even if the hour was relatively late - Charles was in his usual spot, casually reading a book "Welcome back! Seems the bandit threat has been stimmed and we've recovered two of the threats back." he'd bow politely to the girl, before sliding a small bag of coins along the counter to her "Fifty denarii, the bonuses for the recovery will come as soon as they are available."

Astra gained 50 denarii! (70 total)

Astra could feel Clare's influence over her start to retract, she involuntarily shuddered, a very small, and weird feeling sprouted as Astra gained control once again. That feeling was like a sense of loss.

OK, I'll see you two later then I guess! Astra said as she regained her energy. She turned and walked towards the Guild. She was startled slightly by the appearance of the energetic Mayor next to her. She had a slight confused expression on her face as the Mayor talked. Before Astra could ask any of her questions, the Mayor once again disappeared. Hmmm sounds like somethings going to affect the way people act. Astra thought as she continued on.

Walking into the Guild, she easily found Charles in his spot. She turned in quest, earning herself a reward of 50 denarii! Ya, it was a close battle, but I hope it's helped out! I think it's about time I found myself a nice inn to sleep in soon. Do you have any recommendations? Astra asked. If she got a reply, she would thanks Charles before heading out to grab a room at the inn.

Charles smiled kindly to her "Well all members are free to use the guild lodgings." he'd open his plam to reveal a room with a #8 tag "Your room is number eight, you're free to use to use it or stash any items you like whenever you wish." Charles would wait for the girl take the room key "Do not worry, all guild lodgings are well guarded against intruders, thus your items will always be safe."

With the key in-hand Astra was free to either head to the local inn or just stay in the far more humble free lodgings in the guild.

I forgot about that already, hehe. Thanks Charles, I'll take the room. Picking up the key from Charles's hand, Astra thanks Charles and waves good bye, as she goes off to enter her room. As she was walking she could feel some people looking at her new clothing. Astra was embarrassed when she thought of how easily she kept losing her clothing in fights. She decided with the time she had left for the day, she would go shopping!
