Almost as soon as Helena enters the mine, she can hear distant echoes of picks and shovels at work. Curiously, there's no sign of light even as the pair makes their way further into the mine. The red light casts odd shadows and doesn't light very far, and as Helena gets closer to the sounds they slowly die away, leaving only dying echoes as Helena arrives to a large cave where the light isn't enough to show the walls. Then a skeleton steps into the light, holding a stone tablet and a piece of chalk. On the stone tablet there's a simple letters reflecting the unevenness of the stone. WHO ARE YOU AND WHY ARE YOU HERE?

Helena nearly jumps out of her skin as the skeleton walks into view. Looking at the tablet though she figures out that the skeletons are the workers... Which is a tad confusing, but not the strangest thing. Reading the words she clears her throat and calms down a bit. "I'm Helena, The blacksmith sent me to pick up some silver..." *Well that's new*

The skeleton stops for a moment before picking a cloth from its toolbelt and wiping the slate clean before writing more. I SEE. YOU WILL TAKE 20 POUNDS OF SILVER, AS USUAL. YOU WILL ALSO TAKE ALL THE BROKEN TOOLS FROM THE SHED TO BE FIXED AND BROUGHT BACK HERE. AS USUAL. YOU MAY SPEND THE NIGHT IN THE SHED OR IN THE MINE; IT IS UNLIKELY THAT YOU WILL BE DISTURBED HERE. Towards the end the script becomes quite small, as the skeleton almost runs out of space.

"Thanks" Helena says nodding. "I can take care of that, I'll just take the silver and be on my way to the shed then" She says smiling. Skeletons working a mine, what an odd but strangely efficient way of doing something. She wondered absently how they were paid or if they just liked the mine. Regardless, this place was as strange as where she had been in the EGG. If she ever got out of this she was swearing off video games FOREVER!

The skeleton nods and hands Helena a heavy bag filled with small nuggets before replacing the slate and the chalk in the toolbelt and picking up a shovel. All around them, the sounds of mining start coming again.

Helena hefts the bag and shrugs. *I expected that to be harder... O well!* Heading back to the shack, Helena strikes up a conversation about back when they first met on the station, laughing about how freaked out she was.

*We haven't gotten back yet. And if the innkeeper is any indication, the smith would probably rather not get out of the village and risk having to spend the night out.* Jasmine smiles at the fond memories of their first meeting, her arm wrapping around Helena as she steps to her side.

"Been some crazy places, done some insane things, took a short siesta in hell! How many people have That! Seriously though, Glad I met you Jasmine" Helena wraps an arm around Jasmine as well, leaning into her. Of all the people she had met on this crazy escapade, it was always Jasmine who had her back or showed her the way.

As Helena steps out of the mine, she is glomped by a rather annoyed giant spider.

"Hahaha ya OOOF!" Helena is bowled over by an overly enthusiastic arachnid that seems painfully familiar. Seriously, landing on her ass Hurt! Giggling and hugging back Helena couldn't help but bust out laughing. "O MY GOD STRIKE!" Rolling around with the spider, Helena managed to forget everything she was so happy to see her fuzzy 8 legged friend.

After some huggling, Jasmine hugs Strike as well. The spider's mood improves quickly, and soon she's her usual silly self again.

Helena smiles and plays with the giant spider before suddenly stopping... "Um... Jasmine... You're here, and Strikes here, and O dear.... You don't think Red and Ginny are here as well?"

Jasmine keeps petting the spider. "I don't know. I mean, I was right next to you, not to mention that I was the one who made you into a succubus and Strike was - is? - your familiar. Ginny and Red aren't as closely connected."

"I dont think she's my familiar anymore, I couldn't sense her at all, and i used to be keyed in on her all the time... But I suppose that makes sense." Helena grew quiet. "If we manage to get out of here, I'm going with you, There's nothing waiting for me back in my world..."

Strike seems to be confused by what Helena said. As the last rays of the sun start fading away, the howling of wolves begins in the distance, and the beautiful landscape quickly turns misty and threatening.

Helena relaxes and almost manages to doze off until the howling of wolves sets her hair on end... It wasn't normal... There was something frightfully bonechilling about it... Leaning closer into Jasmine and pulling Strike into her, all she can do is try and relax and sleep a little...

As the trio gets inside the shack, Jasmine is careful to bolt the door. As they go to sleep on a mattress that's been placed in one corner, both Jasmine and Strike curl up close to Helena. Somehow they all manage to fall asleep, not hearing the scratching that comes from the door as some beast tries to find a way in, nor the all too human yelp as the skeletons appear from the mine to drive the beast away.

As Helena wakes up, she finds that she's the first one awake as usual, with Jasmine hugging her in her sleep and Strike curled up on their legs.

Waking up, Helena smiles, giving Strike a Jasmine a quick kiss before extracting herself from the tangle and stretching. Looking outside at the rising sun she smiles before hefting the bag. "Come on sleepyheads, Sooner started sooner finished"

Strike uncurls herself, happily looking at Helena. As Jasmine yawns, Helena can feel something slippery sliding down the back of her leg as Jasmine extends a tentacle, unseen by Helena. "What's the hurry?"

Shuddering at the touch Helena giggles and shrugs, "Nothing I guess~ I dont mind being breakfast" Pulling the succubus into a kiss, she can't help but smile.
