The stars aren't right!(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The nearest human turns out to be a middle-aged woman with large eyes and surprised look on her face, turning to deep blush as Helena all but slams her against the wall out of sight. From the first kiss she tastes like fire, and once properly focused, Helena finds that it doesn't take much effort at all to drain a soul when she really wants to. The woman collapses after several deep kisses and Helena feels a torrent of energy rush into her, making planets manifest around her head again as her feet struggle to touch the ground.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena did the deed and let her fall, now having planets again and having enough juice in her to make her float again. Casting her invisibility spell, Helena muttered a curse and let herself float up, before taking her shirt off and flying up, looking for someone else on their own hopefully behind a building or in a stable to suck dry quickly as well. 1 was good, 2 would be better so she didn't have to do this again so soon at the next stop to get more chances to study these damned things.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Fortunately it doesn't take Helena long to spot another catch: a stablehand seemingly having copious amounts of wine for lunch alone behind the stables. She simultaneously spots another oddity: a group of three dwarves, heading into a nearby inn.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena dives after her meal, making certain she was alone before the spell wore off and not giving the drunk fucker a chance to do anything about it as she went in for a second meal, grabbing him and kissing him, pulling on his essence like a fucking tornado of concentrated suckage. Once that was dealt with, she'd curse the loss of her incognito because of the planets and go invisdable again, rushing back out into the small woods she'd meditated in and bunking in a tree for the rest of the day, pulling her shirt back on and poking and her new captures. She couldn't even call them meals right now. They were still alive and squirmy in there somehow and she needed to know how they worked. Double Homicide not weighing on her mind in the slightest anymore.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The drunken man offers no resistance, and Helena quickly devours his soul before fleeing the scene.

The sun is starting to set as she shakes herself free from a haze and finds herself wandering through a forest on foot, with no memories from the past several hours.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Coming back around from a blackout, Helena shook her head a few times, looked around and went Shit., before bursting into wing and rocketing into the air, looking for the village she would remember and circling, waiting for Charlie high enough up to be mistaken for a bird.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

As Helena starts her ascent, she briefly senses something watching her. Nevertheless, soon she's up in the air and able to make out a small town nearby. Unless she's missing more time than just a few hours, it should be the one she left.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Winging down towards the town, Helena hoped it wasn't on fire or you know, on fire, but she was looking for the fucking vampire more then anything and fuck the time she lost. She'd probably gone off fucking giant squirrels again or something.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The town does not seem to have sustained significant damage, but as high up as Helena is, she probably couldn't make out the vampire even if he was already outside which he most likely isn't, given that the sun set just moments ago.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Rather then terrorize the town, Helena stayed at about the height they'd been flying, waiting for him to take to the air and trying to mentally poke at him *I'm already in the air. So... Waiting.*

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena fails to find any hint of Charlie mentally, like usual. Something about the vampire made him hard to find. The cloud cover seems to be growing thicker, and wind picks up. It was going to be a dark and stormy night.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena got annoyed. It was for the best though, Charlie was supposed to keep an eye on her and she was already swooping lower in the air before lighting a flame in her hand, nice and bright, and flying in a big fucking figure eight. If Charlie didn't make an appearance at that, she'd move on all on her own at full speed, flying in the same direction they had been and only stopping when the sun started to rise again, looking for a nearby village when sunrise started. He'd catch up, he was Kargat right?

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

It was a dark and stormy night. After a few minutes of circling, a giant bat appears over the town, flapping its wings to gain altitude until reaching Helena, then heads towards southwest.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Good, her crazy fucking plan wasn't necessary and she followed the bat with no fear of any storms whatsoever. If anything it would be more exciting. The only possible downside being Charlie forced to the ground and having to continue on foot for a time.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

It may be just Helena's imagination, but she's fairly sure that they're not in Darkon anymore as the storm's full force finally hits her and Charlie, with the rain hammering on her wings and the wind making it hard to stay on the course.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

It seemed to her at least that they'd crossed the border and she now basically had free reign to do what she pleased without risking Jasmine and the others. Fucking Wonderful. Stupid fucking hostage situations... also possibly other things to play with.

Who knew.

As the rain and the wind started to become bothersome, Helena glided down to Charlie and wrapped her arms around the gigantic bat, stearing them towards the ground as the stronger flyer and landing in the forest lightly, Helena taking great pains not to make anything uncomfortable as the stronger flyer and once on the ground, looking around carefully as her hand lit up with flames like an unquenchable torch.

Well tonight's going swimmingly. she muttered, looking around.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Giving up about the same time as Helena, Charlie allows Helena to grab him, and the pair manages to land intact if not exactly gracefully. Eerily, there seems to be a large building not too far away, though even Helena's supernatural sight can't tell much more of it through the darkness and rain.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena expands her wings to cover them both like a large rediculous umbrella, curled forward and together as she waits for Charlie to get himself together. Out of curiosity... you ever been accused of being too curious? she asked Charlie, starting to approach the building with that exact train of thought in mind. "Ooo Shiny." Though in this case Shiny was Spoopy.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Charlie matter of factly resumes his normal shape and starts following Helena. "Beats storm, I suppose."

As they approach the building, it becomes apparent that it hasn't been well-cared for. The stone building has been built to last, though, and it probably isn't much worse for the wear. What catches Helena's eye is that there are no windows on the ground floor, and the ones in the upper two floors are sunk into the stone, indicating thick walls and likely exorbitant construction costs. There's no door in this side, but once they circle the building, Helena and Charlie arrive at a heavily reinforced gate that's topped with sign: "St. Iluva's Bed-" with the end broken off, likely deliberately.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Yes it does. Helena says smoothly. Circling the building, they eventually came to a gate and Helena couldn't shake the feeling that this place had been built to take a fucking bomb hit or three. No windows on the ground floor, obviously thick walls... Gate.

Saint Iluva. Ok, on principle to my new nature, I'm going in because a Saint is involved and I decided a I hated saints about 8 months ago. Helena said, trying the gate, or forcing it open with the usual combination of magic, force, and chemistry. Trying to enter the building. All else fails it's a building and while I'm not inconvenienced by the rain really.... it's still annoying. she continued, keeping her hand blazing as a torch.
