The stars aren't right!(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

*Told you that would happen. Let me know if you figure out a way to avoid it.* Jasmine replies coolly.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

I will, promise. As for Cindy? At this point she has to be close to changing. We should encourage her now more then anything. So if she wants to soldier on up? Let's back her the whole way. I'm sure Willow is just losing her mind there with all the books and potions to brew as distractions. Tell her I miss her, same for Strike. Miss my cuddle buddy. And Indigo... I'd like my slime baby to NOT be killed for being a nuisance. But that's all on this end, getting my head patched up and we're continuing on. You keep learning spells here, I'll keep trying to find more demony ones we can put to use. Lord knows every time I try I figure something out. Helena replies, sending Jasmine TELEPATHIC HUGS!

Thinking of the burn marks on her arms that had faded, but that she had memorized, Helena shifted them back onto her arms, and pondered them for awhile, before doing some more soul diving. Time to see exactly what the hell she had done. She wanted to try and find the path that fire had taken, where it had come from, as well as Violently BEAT three goatherds for making her crazy.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

For the next two days, Helena focuses on soul-delving. Fortunately the owner has the sense to leave her alone, so her only interruptions are offers of food and the priest's visit. On the third morning, Father Holbek again casts two spells and declares Helena well enough before collecting his payment from Charlie and hurrying out.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena stayed intensely focused on her trying to find out more about herself, for two solid days, only eating when required and coming out of her dive when the priest came back, Helena letting him work before going back to work herself.

After two more days had passed and the priest beat a hasty retreat, Helena promising to torture a better healing out of him to herself if what he did didn't work, Helena left her room, coming back down to find Charlie while poking about in her own mind, seeing if she was still crazy.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena's common sense her that her continued suspiciousness is just common sense, not paranoia. At any rate, she at least finds it easy to trust Charlie again, whom she finds in the cellar of the tavern, having a drink near his bed.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena finds charlie having a drink, waving one hand and smiling. If what he did worked, should be back to myself. Feel better at least. How was your last couple days? she asked, sitting down and stretching out.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

"That's nice to hear. I've been sniffing for rumours, but no luck. Not many traders here from Dementlieu right now." Charlie replies, sipping what MIGHT be wine from his cup.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Well.... Shit. Apparently I make the priest nervous. He practically ran out of there when he was done. In other news everything seems to be fine at the castle. I can stay in touch with Jasmine anywhere in Darkon. Soon as we cross the line though I can't. She said, ignoring the glass.

Well. We can get back to moving on whenever you're ready. You waited for me, i'd be an unforgivable bitch if I demanded otherwise. she continued, not even sure what time it was.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

"Good to know. We'll leave after the sunset, then. I've made arrangements for my coffin in case there's need for me to stay out in daylight again.," the vampire says, finishing his drink.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

That's great news. Ummm, excuse me for asking, but I've seen you out in the daylight before... What happens during the day to you? she asked. Not looking for an edge, but more just making sure he wouldn't turn into a little pile of ash if something went wrong.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The vampire hesitates before answering, and for a moment he looks nothing as much as a walking corpse. "Nothing much, I just need to stay in my coffin for some time afterwards."

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Ok, as long as you're not just gonna, you know.... Poof she said, making a little explosion shape with her hands and letting the matter drop.

Since they had to wait around for sunset, Helena excused herself and left Charlie in peace only long enough to get the odd metal heart, bringing it to him. Any idea what this thing is?

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Charlie takes one look at the heart and shrugs. "Ne'er seen one before. Probably worth a pretty penny, though, especially if it's magical."

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Found it in that loony bin. And paid for finding it, in a way.... A fairly unpleasant way if I'm completely honest. Got turned into a balloon... she muttered, before nodding and waving. Guess I'll go look for a buyer then. Never hurts to have a bit more coin on hand. she said, leaving Charlie in peace and heading out to sell the heart o metal.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Outside the tavern it looks like a busy morning, with farmers bringing fresh produce to the market. This being the market day, the small town is quite crowded, though people seem to instinctively give Helena more space than to each other.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Helena appreciated the space today, and had no FUCKING idea what to do with a metal fucking heart. But she had some ideas, first and foremost making sure it wasn't carrying something nasty from the asylum, and to see if it was in fact meant for medicing.

Pondering that, she thought what a doctors office would be here and immediately frowned. Temple. Sighing, she started to look for one, looking around and trying not to eat anyone in Darkon, still not quite over her earlier indigestion.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The temple is not too hard to find, being near the centre of the town and standing out architecturally. It is quite a small temple, and Helena finds the main hall empty, save for an acolyte in the process of sweeping it.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

Approaching the acolyte, Helena tapped him on the shoulder. Umm.. excuse me. Do you know anyone who could help me with this? she asked, showing the heart to him and smiling.

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

The acolyte turns to appraise Helena. "Help in what way, mistress? Is it cursed?"

Re: Are the stars right?(Helena/Courage Wolf)

that's the problem, I don't really know.... she said, tilting her head and appraising the acolyte right back. Shameless as always. He was food. Why was he staring at her.
