Re: The Trial of the Champion
The queen would further help Lindsay by engraving a few runes into her sword. The process seemed simple enough though it did take about an hour to finish. Her blade now had runes inscribed within the hilt and blade, hopefully giving her the method to equal the playing field against incorporeal beings.
As they would head out from the Lich's study on their way to the temple, there was a caravan that had welcomed them with open arms. The queen was right that the trek to the temple was likely to be uneventful, as the caravan was moving at a leisurely pace.
(Use explore to conduct a little investigation of the caravan?)
As the pair would approach the caravan, a male would not hide his opinion of the view the queen and Lindsay presented him. "We are headed to the temple to see Kalarima. Would you allow us to travel with you while our paths are similar?"
Lindsay was expecting the caravan to welcome them with open arms, though just how open those arms would be to what they seemed to think might have been two possibly helpless girls was something to be determined later. Lindsay would want to avoid conflict if she could, and travelling with a caravan would allow her to conserve her energy until she reached the temple in a perfect world.
