Arinas rushes forward, her nodachi swinging in a wide arc that would have decapitated the wold had it hit squarely. The creature pulls aside just in time to avoid her attack, however, and Arinas only gravely wounds the beast.

Arinas is rocked by numerous hits as each of the mutated creatures strikes out at her. Her armor takes each blow, leaving her completely unharmed, though several scratches and dents appear on its surface.

Every attack from all four attackers rocked her back and fourth. The bear seemed to have knocked her about more then the wolfs had as a group. The thing she was fearing right now was weather or not her armor would be able to handle the damage from all the attackers. She had to cut the numbers game down now.

Arinas lifts her Nodachi over head and tried to bring it down over the already wounded wolf.

To-hit: 14 + 42 + 3 = 59 vs 32 == Hit.
Damage: 7 + 10 + 4 = 21 damage.

Arinas blade arcs down and cuts the wounded wolfs head practically in half, the massive sword cleaving through meat and bone with ease. She then diverts the path of the blade so that it is doesn't hit the ground, instead arcing up in a spin that makes it ready for another swing.

To-hit: 2 + 30 + 4 = 36 vs 28 == Hit.
Damage: 6 + 18 - 20 = 4 damage. Armor at 40/60 TP.
Damage: 8 + 12 - 20 = 0 damage. Armor at 36/60 TP.
Damage: 1 + 12 - 20 = 0 damage. Armor at 33/60 TP.

As Arinas kills one of the wolves, the bear rises up on its hind legs, and takes the opportunity of her vulnerable position to swat her head with one of its paws. The blow sends her stumbling to the side, almost falling over completely thanks to the shock, and the surviving wolves take the opportunity to grab her legs with their teeth, tearing at her armor. Only the blow from the bear does any real damage, but her armor is starting to show signs of damage from the numerous hits.

The clear death of one of the wolf had taken Arinas entire attention. This was bad she didn't see the bear rise and swat at her. She almost hit the ground but she used her sword and prop her upright. She didn't want these beast to has that kind of advantage. When the remaining wolves attack at her jambs she knew the number game would drop her if she didn't get rid of the wolves.

She lifts her weapon out of the and stabs it down into the wolf on her right side. If she was lucky she may hit the spine and end it in one shift blow. She had yet to notice the pain from the bear's attack. But the sudden drop of blood as she stared down at the wolves made it known. She hoped she could down these wolf fast. The was the real threat of them but the numbers would have downed her before she could end the bear or so she thought.

The wolf takes the hit, but doesn't go down from it, despite the fact that one of its ears, along with a good bit of the flesh from its skull, is torn off.

To-hit: 19 + 40 = 59 vs 28 == Hit.
To-hit: 11 + 30 + 4 = 45 vs 28 == Hit.
To-hit: 16 + 30 + 4 = 50 vs 28 == Hit.
Damage: 9 + 18 - 20 = 7 damage. Armor at 28/60 TP.
Damage: 7 + 12 - 20 = 0 damage. Armor at 24/60 TP.
Damage: 2 + 12 - 20 = 0 damage. Armor at 21/60 TP.

The bears hammers its paw into her once more, causing Arinas to be sent flying and land on a heap on her back a few yards away. She is only stunned for a second, but that's long enough for the two wolves to start tearing at her legs with their teeth. Only the hit from the bear does any real harm, but her family armor is starting to look the worse for wear thanks to all of the abuse its taken.

She landed hard and knew she would mostly likely she would be bruised from the landing on her lower back or rump. However her mind was quickly brought back by the feel of the wolfs again attacking her armor. She slashes at the wounded wolf trying end it so she could at least stand again.

Her blade takes the head off of one of the wolves mauling her feet, and the other creature swiftly pulls back. She regains her feet in short order, preparing to fend off the creatures next attack. The bear, however, goes back down on all fours and rushes toward her.

To-hit: 19 + 30 + 4 = 53 vs 28 == Hit.
Damage: 4 + 18 - 20 = 2 damage. Armor at 17/60 TP.
Damage: 5 + 12 - 20 = 0 damage. Armor at 14/60 TP.

Before she can even try to get out of the way, the beast hammers into her. It is only a glancing blow, but it still sends her reeling, just in time for the last surviving wolf to slam into one of her legs, its teeth gnashing against her armor. It still holds, but the plates are starting to get very loose, and Arinas knows that the plates would soon start falling off, the repeated hits taking a toll on the integrity of the parts of the armor that held it together.

The sudden charge caught Arinas off guard. As the bear rammed her she did her best to stay standing and was ready for the wolf to once again start attacking her armored leg. Before the wolf could even get it's teeth into her armor she was raising her Nodachi over head with the point aimed down. Once she felt the tugging of the wolf she takes aim at the wolf's neck hoping to sever the beast's spine. With her target in range she slams the razor sharp point down in to the wolf.

Damage: 4 + 10 + 4 = 18 damage.

The wolf pulls back as Arinas chops at it, narrowly avoiding getting its head cut off in favor of having the front of its snout separated cleanly from the rest of its head. It issues a sharp bark of pain, strangely distorted by the loss of part of its face, and backs off.

To-hit: 6 + 30 + 4 = 40 vs 28 == Hit.
Damage: 8 + 18 - 20 = 6 damage. Armor at 9/60 TP.
Damage: 4 + 12 - 20 = 0 damage. Armor at 6/60 TP.

The bear, however, is unperturbed, and immediately crashes against her once more. This time she is only knocked back slightly, but a plate from her armor comes loose in the process, and ends up hanging from a single piece of chain from her torso. The wounded wolf rushes forward and snaps at her leg, and this time manages to pull the front plate of one of her greaves off as well. Much more of this, and Arinas would be naked, unprotected from the beasts claws and teeth.

Damn it.... I need to need this wolf now She thinks to her self as places her hand behind the blade of her Nodachi and rushes the wolf with the whole blade ready to cut it in half with the added weight of the warrior behind it. She knew she would mostly down the wolf with the next attack which would leave her with the bear. She needed to decided to fight it or run. As she come down on the wolf her head looks about looking anywhere she could run hoping to lose the bear somehow. She looked for any small door ways or tight streets that she could use. If there was any in sight she might get away from the bear but the wolf have to be removed first.

Arinas kills the last of the wolves, cutting through the beasts back before yanking the blade free when it gets caught in the creatures guts.

To-hit: 12 + 40 = 52 vs 28 == Hit.
Damage: 5 + 18 - 20 = 3 damage. Armor at 1/60 TP.

Arinas is thrown to the ground as the bear slams into her. At this point, her armor is barely holding onto her, and she can find no convenient avenue of retreat that the creature could not easily follow her into, even if she could outrun the bear.

With the pain from the bear's attack starting to take their toll on her despite her armor she knew this fight would end soon. Arinas didn't brother with trying to get off the ground at first instead she draws her weapon upright in front of her.

"I AM THE WHITE VOID, I AM THE JUST SWORD, I AM THE COLD STEEL." She yelled as as wave of power washed over her and spread out fulling the air with a feeling... of dread with be the best way to put it. The area about her was suddenly full of a white mist. Still on the ground she the bring hers weapon to point at the attacking beast. While she was out of range to attack if the best was stupid it might run it's self in to the blade.

The bear roars in challenge as Arinas body begins to glow with her spiritual might, a fine mist spreading from her body that seems to impede the bear as much as it strengthens her. It bats her raised sword aside with one massive paw, and then immediately hammers into her chest with the other. The power of the bears attack sends a shockwave out from her body, and knocks the wind out of her completely. More devastating, however, is the effect on her armor. Her ancestral plate armor, which she had worn for so long that it had become like a second skin to her, practically disintegrated. The connections between the various plates all fell apart at once, so, while the plates and mail were themselves intact, Arinas was left practically naked before the raging beast.

The sudden massive paw would normal cause Arinas but the battle aura kept her from feeling the full force that had hit her. However, she still lost most of the air in her lunges from the beast. As the armor it's self falls from her body she breathed in quick pants of air before she was nude. As the final piece falls, the only thing to remain on her was the helm.

Arinas quickly rolled to her right side where her sword had landed and quickly took hold of the blade once. Her stance ,however, was unlike her normal standing stance. She was crouched low and was standing only of the balls of her free, her eyes locked on to the bear. She ran her left hand up the blade to her full reach and then held the blade, sharp side upward, between her index and middle fingers. Arinas had already had her target in mind.

She lifted the blade aiming the point for gap between the bear's eyes. She let out a gasp of air as forces herself forward readying to slam the sharp point into the bear's head. Her mind only focused on that gap not even the thought she was nude stopped her.

Arinas strike lands perfectly where she'd wanted it, and with her magically enhanced strength, her blade cleaved directly through the creatures skull. The bears dead body collapsed in a heap in front of her, and a glowing crimson stone rolled out of its corpse onto her feat, along with more than a little bit of blood and brain matter. Now, however, she was standing naked in the street, glowing with her inner power after having had a loud and difficult fight. It might be wise to collect herself and flee, before she brought any more attention to herself.

Arinas released her grasp on her nodachi as the bear fell forward. She waited and watched the down beast for a few seconds before dropping to a knee and pulling her weapon free along with more blood seeping from the bear's wound. As the blade came free of the beast she flicked it sending blood and brain matter in to the air leaving the blade clean. She quickly followed up without wasting a move as she spins and sheaths the nodachi.

With her weapon away she starts to grab at the armor pieces of her's along with the stone. The white mist started to dissipate as she grabbed at the armor. After a short while she stood once more with armor in hand and the stone places away. Matthias could know what it may be and it might have some use later. She drops once more to pick up her nodachi and started move quickly trying to get away from the area but to also find some where she could make repairs on her armor.

Perception: Success.

Shaking somewhat and feeling exhausted as the adrenaline of combat rushes out of her system, Arinas picks up the her armor and the strange red stone as her aura fades. The collection of bruises she'd acquired from the bear throwing her around and the amount of energy she'd spent in the battle had left her feeling very tired and weak. Despite this, however, she kept herself alert enough to notice the woman in red casually strolling out of the house before she noticed Arinas. Ducking for cover, Arinas watched as the woman paused glanced around a bit, as if searching for something, and giving the hidden warrior time to observe her.

The women had pale skin and dark brown hair that fell in light curls just past her chin, and partially covered her eyes if she turned her head too fast. She seemed to have bright red eyes that glowed even in the late afternoon sun. The red dress she wore was extremely revealing, showing off her impressive bust as well as her creamy thighs. She started moving off away from Arinas after a moment, apparently not spotting her. Arinas could try to make contact with the woman, if she wanted, but she had no idea if she were friend or foe, or how she would react to Arinas practically naked body.

Arinas watched the woman carefully. Matthias' words of the humanoid demon echoed in the back of her mind. She couldn't trust anyone out right unless she saw demons attacking them or the other way around. Her body ached from her fight but she did her best not to let out a sound.

She decided it would be best to let the woman pass before moving. She didn't want to move and end up giving her self away. The red eyes only sever to reinforce the idea the woman may have been a demon. A demon searching for something but still a demon.

A faint thought wondered what she was looking for but without her armor and the pain she was feeling the thought quickly passed. Trying to flow would be just to dangerous. Once the woman moved on Arinas would began to for a blacksmith shop to make the needed repairs for her armor.

Stealth: Success.

Arinas lies in hiding until the woman passes out of sight before continuing along in search of someplace to piece back her armor. The demon infestation ensured that no forges would be working, but she only need to repair the connections, rather than the plates themselves, so she would hopefully only need the basic tools. She steps onto a paved road a few moments later to find her search successful, with a wooden enclosure in front of her with an anvil and a long cold forge in plain view. She couldn't see all of the enclosure, or into the building behind it, however, so Arinas couldn't be sure if it was uninhabited. By now she feels well enough to fight again, her energies having regenerated, but she would think twice about it since she was currently without most of her armor.

The sight of the anvil was an welcoming sight to her but she couldn't get over joyed yet. She may still be found before she could make the repairs needed for her armor. She scans the entire area about enclosure and saw nothing out right to make her think something was laying in wait. She slowly makes her way for the anvil still looking about for anything before focusing on the building now.

Should nothing make thinking anything maybe near by she starts to look for tools to start repairs.
