What's new

RPG Patreon Active [Threshold] Monster Girl Dreams

To prevent the many post edits that some (myself included) will miss, I make this post. I'm really excited for Amber finally being able to have her way with us.

v26.5 is now out with content and smol tune ups for Trisha, a new service scene for Ancilla, a new bar work scene with two bubble slimes, a night time world map, a background for the Willpower Temple, an aggressive cowgirl CG for Ceris, and more!

god I love Ceris. Her, Sofia, and Kotone are my top 3 so far.

v26.6 is now out with a not-so-spooky adventure with Perpetua to recruit ghosts to Sleim Vllge, a new victory scene when defeating Trisha, pampering services from Ancilla, a sex CG for Bed-Chan, along with balancing, QoL, and fixes!

v26.7 is now out with the Livewire Alleyway encounter, scenes with Ampere+Lovol, visiting content for the ghost trio, CGs for Ancilla and Nara, as well as an assortment of balancing, QoL changes, and fixes.

Last time I hopped on was when they added the capitol entry bossfight. Has there been much added since?

Probably not as much as you'd hope. There's a few shops in the capitol, one fight in the alleys, and the first chunk of a questline where you help your eternal rival/totally-not-girlfriend invite more Slimes to Sliem Vllge to make it more prosperous. There are also some more CGs and scenes for older characters spread around. Oh, and a fishing minigame, so MGD is viable for GOTY now.

How does that mini-game work here?
Click fish that pop up on screen quick enough times and you get a random fish. Pretty basic, but everyone knows a game is only good once it gets a fishing minigame, so it can't be helped. You unlock it as part of the Sliem Vllge quest.

Honest take, but I think the dev team should hire on another writer to keep the train going-- Too many Patreon devs tend to grind the gears too much for too little production.
Kinda wish I wouldn't have shelved my writing side-- I might have started my own at this point.

v26.8 is now out with a new segment of helping Ancilla around the forest dungeon, a new vili scene related to that event, a new loss scene for Venefica, a new ghostly gloryhole scene, preliminary capital district movement set up with a few events, and a sex+facesit combo CG for the harpies. Along many other assorted changes and fixes.
Edit: v26.8a is now out to add the missing Venefica scene, and fix a few typos.

It's a bit complicated to actually do unfortunately. I do however have a consistent editor+writer.

v26.9 is finally now out, featuring a new Capital event called 'A Fashionable Encounter', lots of new Amy content, an updated 'Ambush her' scene for Sofia featuring new art, a close-up CG for Selena, a visual overhaul to damage display, and a bunch of Balancing, QoLs, and Fixes!

Downloaded the new version and for some reason upon starting a new game it seems to mess up when I finish the character creation... Not exactly sure what is up there.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that would be the crash that would occur when you skipped the intro thanks to the damage ui change. Which is now fixed.

v27 is now out, featuring honestly way too much new stuff to properly list in a short snippet! So be sure to read that changelog before diving in! Otherwise, there's new content in the Capital's Starlight District, new art (like the elf sex CG), and a bunch of new scenes across the board!
Edit: v27a is also now out to hot fix a smol but important issue.

Just my 2 cents, including a screenshot with these announcements might help you get more players.

v27b is now out, featuring bugfixing, a lil' balance tweak, and tuning of the puzzles so they're less confusing!

Do recent posts pop up somewhere to catch eyes like that? Am I dum? 😳

They probably meant in general, such as in the Patreon post or in the Discord channel. Currently, your Announcements are text-only, and might not communicate as well just how much new content would there be for players to return for the new updates.

You can try to compare this to another example, such as Necropanzer with his project "Domination Desire: Banished". In his Discord posts, he puts out a few screenshots (usually, of the new renders of characters in his game) in between paragraphs of information:

You could try to add some Screenshots in the future to your updates, not giving away too much of the updates itself (to let the player also experience the content for themselves), but giving at least 1-2 of the new CGs, maybe a screenshot or two of the new story content etc. It would be a better hook for players to keep coming back for the newer updates, give them something to look forwards to, and maybe even let them know of some content they might otherwise miss (since not everybody reads the entire changelogs).
