Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

Woohoo! Now there are quite a few people ^o^!

What shall the battle nun and pirate captain do when they meet for the first time!?

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

Hopefully triple team Vita with Tristam's help.

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

Rovana starts out with suspicion, but will be friendly if the nun can pew pew people while she hides behind and.. delegates (Stabs things at opportune momens) :p

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

Wait for Blarg and Spodah or start talking to Pervy?

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

Up to you, but I'm going to wait for blarg and spider to act before the NPCs speak. They're content to let the captain speak to her crew for a bit.

Blarg, Ismark apparently isn't recognising Esvele.

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

I go with 'It makes sense for my character to speak up even if not asked so I'm doing that' *nodnod*

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

Since they have been directly asked questions, I will get a response up later today for the NPCs.

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

So dead. So very dead. Errgh! Crit Failing an insight roll and then doing horribly on turning and getting to Rovana to keep her quiet!

Why is Rovana's praises so deadly? (And will anyone dare grope her ass hah!)

Also, anything need to be changed in post?

Pirate bonus

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

If PCs are comfortable rolling dice for social interactions with each other, then that's fine but unless the situation really begs for it, I'm not going to give DCS and ask players to have their characters forced to react one way or another. So Vita can choose how to react to what Rovana says at face value.

Rovana's deception rolls are for NPC reactions.

Mmmm, I'm using the dice rolls as a way to prevent me from meta gaming. Also allows me to actually do the dumb farm girl route easier.

Hopefully it doesn't screw me later down the road hah.

EDIT: Posted also and hugged Blarg's character good.

If it makes it easier on you, then okay. Just wanted to be clear that it's not an obligation, and other players don't have to do that unless I'm asking them to.

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

Hmmm, what is the insight check to help with? Figuring out Rovana's true motives (IE to not sleep in the manor) or...?

Insight Roll: 19 (+0)
Total Roll: 19?

Not sure if I'm gonna put it in post. Or maybe I shall and Vita misinterprets the fear and offers to sleep/snuggle with Rovana to keep her from getting scared. Hah.

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

While Vita is .. slow, Rovana is reckless. (great combo for trouble, which is good in an erotic campaign) The old mans burial is holding them back, so she deals with that issue. She kinda forgets that, perhaps staying in this fortified mansion that clearly has lasted a few attacks would be smarter than just moving on.

Well post is up. Vita can definitely burn the body to ash!

@Blueslime, what is the God(Gods) worshipped at Vita's home village? She is now thinking on that sort of stuff after seeing and meeting with Esvele.

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

The insight check is to tell Vita that the Darkness within her is very excited about the prospect of burning the body. You get the sense that doing this would be an upsetting act and possibly an evil one.

As for gods, it depends which world in the multiverse you come from. If you are from Tirol (Forgotten Realms) then Lathander is the typical Lawful Good god. That is the default setting for 5e. Rather than list them, I'd say just decide which setting Vita is from, then google the gods from that setting. Being a farm girl she probably doesn't know all of them unless she has Religion proficiency.

Ah. Okay, so Should introduce second thoughts to vita or looking very uncomfortable about actually doing the deed.

Hopefully Ireena and Ismark will protest good enough to stop it.

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

Ismark will have heard Vita shouting.

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

Also, Rovana can get an Inspiration for good role play and dynamic thinking.
