Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

I feel as if Esvele is adding some interesting contrast and it'd suck to see another player leave but from an observers perspective it is kind of meh to see Diagas/The DM wait for 5 sentences for.. a week or so? I mean not saying all stories need two or more posts a day, thats just my obession with fancy pirate and sexy black vampire lewdities and .. actually story too but..

Are you that busy irl?

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

For what it's worth, my posting rate is going to drop way down soon due to IRL changes. I've already mentioned this to Pervy in PM. So you don't need to give into despair, Blarg. It's not going to be as fast as it is now, and one on one threads are always faster than multiplayer threads.

That being said, if you are honestly feeling stymied by all this, I don't want to force you to play something you don't want to play anymore. I think Esvele is cool, and could be a pretty sweet hunter type character with her holy candle staff thingy.

I can NPC her for a bit, and if you feel the desire to hop back in, you're totally welcome to.

Or just chuck in a post every now and then when you can. Let me know what you'd like to do.

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

I mean, I'm down with continuing if Diaga's k with it, since he doesn't have Pervy to bounce off of for funtimes anymore. It's just, you know, self-consciousness about how it went from multiple posts on the daily to >4 days ago kinda things.

I probably would have tried to into an actual, non-shortpost if I wasn't like AUAUH GOTTA WAIT FOR PERMISSION or something. And uh if my brain weren't just like partially totally frazzled right now.

Ye.

Nuuuuh

*chuckles* Yeah, rl cometh and goeth, as long as everyone here has a goal to definitly tell this story to the end I'm happy.

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

regardless, posted in response to the Vita and Esvele thread. Sister Esvele conducts the ceremony (roll to see how well she does) and then we'll shortly be moving on.

Vita, just wanted to remind you that the tiefling promised to visit Ratka the Vistani gypsy guy at the Tser Pool encampment tonight (in the game world).

Do you guys have the map? I know Vita has seen it, but I'll post it again if you need it.

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

So Diaga. Can you tell me what it is you're gonna do? The priests son, Doru, is in the undercroft of the church. The entrance is a padlocked wooden trapdoor in one of the storage rooms. You can speak to Doru through it but not touch it. If you ask the priest for a key, he says he lost it. You'd have to break the lock to open the door.

Vita is going to attempt to channel the light. Dunno if that is going to work. Vita is going to pull on her inner light, somehow concentrate that into something physical (liquid, blood etc.) and then give it to Doru. Pretty sure that isn't going to work, at all, but it is something to attempt.

Wondering if the Fiend inside of her will say anything. Anyway, I doubt that is going to work.

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

Hrmm, I don't think Vita really knows how to do that. The bond she created with Ireena was through intimacy and coupling and might have had something to do with her unique receptivity to it.

You're not sure how to concentrate your inner light into blood or other elements/objects. Vita thinks it might be possible but she'd need to get some advice as to where to start.

So it's not a flat out no, it's a "yes, but you'll need to research that" sort of deal.

I figured that. Vita is just trying it. She isn't sure it is going to work, even with mentally pysching herself up for it.

Any rolls needed for it? I hope not, I rather not get a 20 on this by blind chance -.-. (Will use Orokos for this roll if there is one.)

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

Nah, don't need to roll.

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

Grabbing a familiar for flavour rather than a direct mechanical benefit is a choice I never regretted less than now. ^^

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

Need a deception roll, Pervy.

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

Oh geez. *flexes, pulls out dice* Deception luckily is one of Rovanas Strengths with a +7..

.. pfew! That one should do it.
Roll(1d20)+7:
14,+7
Total:21

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

Yay! Finally I posted. Hope description and imagery is good ^^.

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

Yey! Feed all the poor, starving vampires! *nurses Ludi and Tammy*

That is how you win this campaign, yes?

Yep. Feed them with light tainted blood. See if it changes them or something reckless.

Gonna make me some Carpanthian Vamps. Ones that walk in the sun with all the negative traits of vamparism removed + added sith lightning from their fingertips.

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

Last time Rovana tried that she.. not to spoiler if you plan to read along later, but she pulled all the tricks on her and it wasn't enough. Which is good, I like that we actually have to work for our goals, but they are still possible, like if I were to come up for something in this scenario best case is you get a moment of lucidity, followed by a realization that your blood is poisonous to the vampire.

And I bet Strahd would be really on board with your plan there. Nooot sure it'd be to the best for everyone, though now you got me thinking.. Wait weren't you more team werewolf? :p

Maybe the light inside Vita's blood is all that's needed to cure vampirism?

I mean. It could work?

Probably.

Maybe.

Possibly.

We'll see.

:D

Re: Through the Mists: Out of Character Discussion

Hay Bloo, can you just roll my checks for me from now on? I am admittedly a shit and hate posting 'yeah I got a trash check fuck me up' over here, which is probably going to happen forever, because the dicebot I use is tsundere as shit.

This is the Int+Religion check that I managed, for instance.
