The world is full of hypocrites, foamy..

We'll bash toony for bashing us, saying we're above bashing and that he's an immature idiot for bashing us..

Of course I'm above all that, and think everyone should just grow up and get along.. *wink wink*

See what I mean? In the large scale of things, we're ALL guilty, regardless how pure we make ourselves out to be.. Even taking the time to say "You're stupid for doing that, I don't do that" is petty, at best.. But the sad fact is, we ALL do it, at some time or another.. There are no "Perfectly behaving" people, there are no absolutely flawless moral figures of justice, and
there is no overall balance in fairness of things..

But this of course is where standards step in... But sadly even standards will conflict with themselves if they're set higher than the people care to follow, and remain that way in a petty attempt to sort've mask over the dilapidated atmosphere of what should have been a nice simple safe area, with a thin transparent veil of sugary rainbow justice and balance... But that falls under the category of "Perfect" in these times, and well.. You get the idea..

Everyone goes through the exact same stages every time a new ToonPimp game is announced.

1. Denial - "What?! He's not making another one! He retired/hates his community"

2. Anger - "He's just an immature asshole/stoner/ect. Fuck him. I'm not even gonna touch this game!"

3. Bargaining - "Well... Cracklevainia was kinda good-ish... maybe if I give him some money..."

4. Depression - "Why am I so stupid?! What did I expect?!?! arghhhhhhh!!!!"

5. Acceptance - "I don't like furries anyway. Ill just go back to lurking the RPG Maker thread."

Meanwhile...

It's impossible to talk about a game that doesn't exist yet, but I think part of the fun is simply in having fun with subjects of inspiration so obscure. It's one of those cases where people go 'oh, yeah, Action 52, that crappy game for the NES with Cheetahmen at the end in some lame fake-3D adventure with two level threes and one-hit-kill pixel pits and music that pauses when a sound effect plays' or 'yeah, Cheetahmen II was never released but planned to ship in leftover Action 52 casing with a sticker on the back reading Cheetamen II, without the H, in a side-scroller action game with enemy clipping, two level threes, and music that pauses when a sound effect plays'. You know, because those issues were that hard to figure out and solve.

So, how many of you know about, or much less played, the Action 52 game for the Sega Genesis? You know, the one where they reuse the Action 52 stamp so it has an NES controller on the front of a Genesis game, Cheetahmen aren't being pimped as the main characters, most of the games are NES-level of creation (or worse, in the case of Pong. Yes, Pong), and the Cheetahmen game itself is even more unplayable than the first two.

Yeah, they turned it into a side-scrolling action/adventure game, much like the Pitfall reboot, with randomly spawning (some sprites reused from the NES) enemies that one-hit-kill you, forcing you to recollect all the cheetah emblems on each stage over and over until you manage a perfect run.

These games are so outrageous that it's no wonder they hold a special place in our hearts. I mean, if you look up Cheetahmen II on eBay right now you can see that a copy of the rare game is being sold for more than some houses are worth. Yep, $39,999.99.

So, what can you do but laugh and hope for the best? I'm glad to see some older material being used for inspiration. Anyone check out that remix by PrototypeRaptor on OCRemix called C.H.E.E.T.A.H. yet? Not usually one for Electro House, but I could totally see it used in a game, but maybe it's because he emulates Justice's style so well.

I just watched a little of Cheetahmen II on youtube....(5mins of life lost) and then checked Ebay.... I guess I know what I'll be looking for next time I'm at the flee-market.

I think if he put some honest effort into his games, they could actually be good.

I liked the Polly's Tale one... but it was too short. And Kunoichi Chaos never got... started.

It sucked because they were pretty alright.

I'm oddly curious about one quick question that seems to have everyone all tied up.

"Why do we feel the need to argue about how much each of us as an individual likes or dislikes this one guy?" I mean this is about four pages of people ripping on him and others defending him. And some people talking about Cheetamen which was terrible in all it's iterations.

Admittedly if we've moved from this guy who calls himself toon pimp sucks into his idea's for games are laughable. Then I'm all for it, but he's a pretentious self absorbed videogame maker. he's going to assume he makes great things until everyone who cares stops talking to him. And since he seems to have a community of people that enjoy something about him probably not in my life time.

What I'm trying to say is if you think he's great, there is a forum for that, it's call the toon champ forum and it's run by him. Go make him have a huge compliment boner, here just kinda stop those here that do like him go to his forum. Everyone else for the most part no longer cares. Either way just giving my opinion about this particular topic, and being frustrated that the Codename -Progressive- does not have a new demo out.

Did you expect anything else from a thread with "Toon Pimp" in the title?

That's just how things are. It's a thread for discussion and naturally everyone wants to share their opinion (Which is great. That's the the internet is for).

The tension between TP and ULMF is no secret. So when you see a Toon Pimp thread, you can almost expect a flame war at some point (usually after the game is released).

Grab a bag of popcorn. This is usually quite entertaining!

Don't take my word for it though. Just search the forum for "Toon pimp" and check out the other threads. History does repeat itself.

Toonpimp updated his forum. He released a beta version of cheetamen.

I don't like toonpimp, but I gotta say, this looks like it might be a step in the right direction for him.

He's talking about adding enemies for a price. I paid for Peach in Pepe Le Rapiste, and well, let's just say she wasn't worth 80 bucks.

If his prices are reasonable, I might help him out.

I'd love to see Valentine or Cerebella from Skullgirls.

Or Juliet Starling from Lollipop Chainsaw.

Or a female Blaziken.

I don't get it, he manages to get worse and worse. This is kind of like the Pepe game, only it's not fun and much uglier looking. More puzzling is that there are people out there still willing to trust him with money. His track record for finishing a project at this point isn't even laughable at this point, it's just outright pathetic. His recent games are so terrible they make Vanja's stuff look like Half-Life. At least she seems to actually show improvement.

Well. It's not too bad. The only issue I'm noticing is that there's no point to raping enemies yet since if you try you just get beaten the crap out of by the other enemies. XD

Just another toonpimp game, nothing really stands out, good or bad.. But I do like the beat-em-up style, it goes together with rape really well since they're both stress-relievers.

I can't really tell why people don't like him so much.. If people give him money that's their call... If he makes a good/bad game and tries to sell it, he's not forcing us to buy it, so really, bashing him is kinda pointless.. If you don't like his games, go play something else and stop making such a fuss.

IMO every discussion about TP as a person/game developer is unnecessary as soon as it comes up. There should be a Sticky about this guy...

The game itself however at least runs more fluently than the horror he published previously. Although we've all seen better (of course)regarding the animations, I'd still like to see the game finished...... is what I'd honestly like to say. Then on the other hand, I don't really care...

Well if you'd like those characters in, here's the pricing on characters to be added onto the game. Oh and he also describes the benefit of raping your enemies. Straight from the sauce.

$20 for a NPC(non playable character) who basically just stands there and gets beat up.
$35 for a NPC who can be raped and beat up by cheetahmen.
$75 for a full enemy character which includes, walk cycle, at least 2 attacks, taunt or masturbation animation, a rape animation and an animation of a cheetahman raping your character in poses of your choice.

In case anyone was wondering, if you do rape an enemy or NPC in the game you do get some life back. This is just a demo to show how the game works, so the enemies constantly respawn keeping you from raping them completely. In future versions of the game there will be more one on one match ups with enemies giving you more opportunities to rape them without getting hit. And of course there will be a gallery mode so you can see all of the animations in the game.

$75 bucks for a "full" character just sounds pricey. That's like... more than the cost of a brand new video game at launch day.
