Re: Toonpimp's Palace

Siphon wistfully smiled to the group as his head cocked to one side. It had been a joyful ride, he'd made many friends, lost many, and turned all into enemies. It was time to bestow one final gift to them all and give them the best chance to survive. He himself would cease to exist in this timeline, which was his plan. He would take his rightful place alongside Cassandra, in a place where no one, not even the gods could exist.

There was only one final duty to perform, and it would be his toughest.

He withdrew a small device from his pocket, taking a deep breath as he suddenly transformed. The raw vampiric energy around him would be enough to draw every Thembrihkal in the base to him, which was the plan. His eyes returned to demonic black, his teeth extended outward, and the claws extended to over a foot long. Then he spoke in his demonic tainted voice.

"Do me a favor. Avenge our fallen brethren for me, and tell Tsuki I'm sorry. Copper, you will always be a true friend, a place for you reserved in the mists when the time is right. To the rest of you ... CRY HAVOK, AND LET SLIP THE DOGS OF WAR!"

Then, before they could stop him, he ported, vanishing.

He reappeared in a long, underground corridor beneath the Palace. This was where the shifter gate had been kept, and where it would meet it's end.

He met the main guard force head on, cutting through them like they were nothing in a matter of seconds, his own power levels reaching critical mass as the device within him counted down. Soon enough, thousands of Thembrihkal boxed him in, preventing any escape with their anti magic fields.

But Siphon had no intention of escaping. He simply leaned against the hard gate and smiled.

"Come get me you fuckers!"

As the beasts charged in, the final fuse lit, and suddenly the world was gone.

Topside, all would feel a massive underground explosion as the gateway and the entire tunnel system were obliterated, along with Siphon. It would take a moment to set in that he'd opened a massive hole in the anti-magic fields and struck a crippling blow to the enemy base. With ALL the Thembrihkal now dead, one of the largest obstructions in their way was gone. It was now up to the remaining squad to finish the job they had started. They would need to recoup from the loss of their second in command, who had quite literally sacrificed his own non-existent life to stop gods knew what. What was certain was the explosion had been far too powerful to have been a nuke, whatever it was, they had felt it even a mile above ground. And that was where the chapter of his existence would turn the page. As the 'quaking' subsided, all that was left was a whisper in the wind.

"Good Luck."

((PM's for this can be disregarded on the OOC remark parts. There was quite a bit of mis-interpretations on things. For now, consider Siphon dead.))

Re: Toonpimp's Palace

The sound of Siphon's voice cut through the screams and gurgles of the troops. "What are you--" And he was gone. "Talking about...?"

Damn fool, going off on his own again. She didn't have a lot of time to think about it. There were still enemies here that needed to be stopped. Of course, backing off and letting the pissed off darkling have his fun was always an option, given that there wasn't much to clear out after he passed through an area.

"We're wasting time with these losers," she growls, grabbing one soldier by the face and slamming him into the wall. He crumpled. "We need to fry the big fish, not worry about the minnows."

That's about when they felt it, the tremors rumbling up from the ground beneath them. Given the surprise from the grunts, this wasn't something on their end and from the way Siphon had been talking...

"What did you do?" She actually stops, completely ignoring the throat currently clutched in her hand until she throws the man aside, into another two that were charging into the fray. For some reason, there seems a finality to the sound. Sure, he's gone off and done suicidal stuff before, but this...this feels different. Her attention turns toward the center of the palace. "One more reason for me to end you, fucker. This is going to be fun." The words come out quietly, hovering in that tone that comes just before someone loses their final hinge, that eerie calm that heralds the coming storm.

Grave quickly turned his head when he felt a change is Siphon's aura. He suspected that the sub-commander had something up his sleeve, but this was a big suprise anyway. The darkling didn't stop fighting, but he half-suspected something horrible to happen. Then, the quake came - and with it, the sudden burst of energy released somewhere below the ground. Grave quickly realized what happened. He growled like a wild beast, then jumped high, turning around in mid-air and "crouching" on the ceiling. He used his legs to propel himself towards the biggest cluster of foes - and right before impact, released a number of long spikes from various parts of his body. As he got up, transforming into regular shape, and finished off those who survived, he heard Copper speak. "A fool to the very end... But, are we any different?" His claws cut through another victim. "I've had enough of this too."
