Trapped in the Underdark ~ Out of Character discussion

Re: Trapped in the Underdark ~ Out of Character discussion

I'm cool with us going into a lewd scene. At the same time, it is a fundamental thing for us to consider from the game perspective. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask the psionics vs magic question.

My solution here would be: magic and psionics interact, however the building we are in with the anti magic field has some sort of filter for psionics - powerful unique dungeon thing specifically built to overwhelm powerful casters and enslave them.

So plot device achieved and rules still intact.

Re: Trapped in the Underdark ~ Out of Character discussion

I'm personally not very knowledgeable about Pathfinder rules, but what Blue said makes sense to me. I mean it's up to you guys in the end really, but I'm all for some sexy fun times.

So... Battlefuck go for the party, I'm assuming. XD

Re: Trapped in the Underdark ~ Out of Character discussion

*chuckles* frankly, the answer from me was simliar, its a sculpted anti -magic field that doesn't affect her standing where she stands. Or simply have it toggleable and cast the blast before. I remember a nasty trap my old DM used in a fortress in hell, toggleable antimagic field and a bunch of legion devils, those get really scary in high numbers.. That was one pact of return I was glad I cast..
Heres pact of return and legion devil for those reading along but curious. :p and

It would make sense that a high int enemy like the mindflayer has something like this set up in their room when meeting potentially dangerous outsiders.

Ugh, Legion Devils. Those things could be obnoxious at times. Depending on the level you are dealing with em, I mean.

Army of Merrugons can fuck up almost anything. If you wanna be a dick, give them adamantine weapons.

Used to run larger scale army kind of campaigns.. well not campaigns more fun little bouts were players would get X thousand gold and Y CR of monsters to build an army from, usually limitations was 'all of the same alignment' Devils and demons were unsuprisingly scary, though the modrons 'fuck you we get initative when we want' and The Eladrins spirit form and blast them with rays of deadly sunshine and happiness thingie could be pretty impressive too(counters the merrugons for example). Along the way I only ever had to bann the use of a single demon in the armies, can you guess which one?

Since this was 3.5 I'm gonna say... Glabresu. Cus wish spam.

If this was Pathfinder, you'd wanna ban the Nabasu/Vrolikai, possibly the Succubus. Succubi in Pathfinder are incredibly dangerous. If you don't have a wizard with you, you can't stop a Succubus from wrecking you remotely. At will Etheral Jaunt+shapeshifting+high dc charm monster+atwill Vampiric Touch= Bad Time.

Or maybe the Invidiak. They;re pretty obnoxious too. Demons in Pathfinder are pretty nasty. Except for the ones who should have been. The Marilith and the Balor. I had to rewrite them to make them threatening.

Pit Fiends though, oh god Pit Fiends... Pit Fiends are scary.

Angels are super scary in Pathfinder too. Solars are the single strongest monster in Core by a mile. You do not fight a Solar if you can help it. Just, oh god Solars...

I fought one, once. It was probably the hardest battle I;ve ever had. And I fought a Green Great Wyrm in a bayou. That was awful too. Green Dragons are horrifying in their natural environment in pathfinder.

Re: Trapped in the Underdark ~ Out of Character discussion

All wrong. I mean, not entirely, but for the CR of a glabrezu you can buy a lot of smaller things, moreso, yes, wish spam is dangerous, but I had multiple rounds, maybe should have clarified, so one off special abilities got you in a tussle. Nope, it was the Jovoc. Long story short, all damage you deal to a Jovoc you get right back, enjoy your critical. I swear without do or die spells those little bastards tpk the party with ease and even then they might if the wizard can't hold back the charging barbarian in time.

Re: Trapped in the Underdark ~ Out of Character discussion

I forgot all about them. Yeah thats pretty gross, assuming you;re not fighting other demons or ranged superiority enemies. Though Holyword is your best counter to that lot. Or the Law version who's name I forget.

Even range can be tricky for those fuckers, build a catapult and go to town. They're the ammunition, they don't care if they get hurt on impact. One sadistic encounter had those fuckers mortared into walls or pillars IIRC, that ones crazy.

Holy word is one of the few ways to deal with them, but even then you need a high enough level for it too, not only that but you need to get up close for it.

Also its Dictum.

Scrolls are a big help. Alternatively, call an outsider with it. There's a few ways to get it. But if you;re facing an actual army of these guys, you probably are quite strong.

And well, flying with a ranged weapon can negate em. There's a fair few ways to circumvent them. It's certainly nasty stuff, requiring a mage to solve it. But that tends to be how these things go.

What really can scare me are Witchfires. Oh dear god are they under cr'd. And if any of em have Vital Strike? Ahaha oh god is it dumb. Neat idea, poorly built for mid level monster.

Oh and Deimavigga devils. Those are horrible to fight. Their reach is their vision range. So if they can scry you, they can attack you.

Must be bitches to play 'I spy with my little eye' against.
Now I want to play one was pirate-character with a looking glass.

Seriously why isn't there moar fancy D&D going on.

Re: Trapped in the Underdark ~ Out of Character discussion

I've too many rps to run such a game myself at the moment. Plus one day I wanna use that darn taninim book. The hardcover versions out soon too :p. Dargons!

Also, suspect Deimavigga pirate would be a high level campaign, being a cr 17 devil.

Makes the Marilith look like a flailing child.

Re: Trapped in the Underdark ~ Out of Character discussion

eh you can downscale that. :p

Its just exhausting, only running and not partaking in campaigns, moreso with me still.. having.. to write.. all dat stuff for ma game.

Anyway, first lewd ventus post!

I thought you were in the 5e game?

Blueslimes gothic adventure is pretty great but sadly, even if Bloo keeps up, I post about ten times faster than the other players, which means my character is kinda stuck fantasizing about lewdtimes and waiting.

Meanwhile Mamonos thingie is.. frankly.. not that interesting to me and I feel like the group is... diverse enough to already struggle without a LE interception about. Not to rock another DM's boat, but to me a lewd campaign shouldn't focus to over 90% on lewdities.. See how I run this campaign, sure theres naughty stuff, right now moar is coming, but I feel as if when EVERYTHING just wants to fuck you and theres little actual adversity beyond, it takes away the fun and deeper storyline to be had.

Or, to minorly spoiler the next post, Ventus going wild and sexy, I think, feels more sincere if she's actually more than a dominant pair of genitals, normally.

Re: Trapped in the Underdark ~ Out of Character discussion

Can imagine. Well if she pounces the Mindflayer Kaila will get involved to help. Or more specifically, she'll send Vel to help, heh. Though I imagine it will be on us instead. Least undead demons are a thing.

With 4 out of 5 failing (Admittedly, Ventus even with a roll of 3 would have made it but she got a harder hit) I just forwarded it to get things.. interesting. This one you can't escape with pure brawn and magic.. more like pure lewdities and wits.
Also, perhaps a chance to learn more about Ventus.. if in an indirect way.

Re: Trapped in the Underdark ~ Out of Character discussion

Btw, if you, Zilrax and Mindflayer, want to post on due to Blueslime being busy you can, I teamedish you up on purpose, I'll wait on the bloo.
